Liang Hongyu tried several times to break out but failed. She was seriously wounded in the abdomen and her intestines were spilling all over the floor. She wrapped herself in a sweat towel and continued to fight.

Finally, after Liang Hongyu killed several Jin army generals, her blood soaked through her heavy armor, and she fell off her horse and died due to exhaustion.

After Liang Hongyu died, the enemy cut off her head and hung it on the city wall for three days for public display.

Upon hearing the news, Jin Wushu was impressed by her loyalty and bravery. He sewed up her body and ordered his men to return it to Han Shizhong.
