Taoist Master Xuanhuang

Chapter 755 Collapse of the Boundary

"I……"

"I'm?"

"..."

With a plan in mind and the unexpected one at hand, coupled with the fact that the evil Buddha Wu Chan had consumed 70% of his magical power.

Without its own energy source, consuming 70% of its magical power is equivalent to a pill losing 70% of its medicinal properties.

Divinity is like a elixir.

When it's perfect, it's perfect, but once it's damaged, it's hard to repair itself and it becomes imperfect.

The Buddhist sect's attack can be considered a sneak attack; there was no open and aboveboard interception before they struck, so it was a case of the prepared attacking the unprepared.

As massive amounts of black threads continuously surged from Wu Chan Xie Fo's body, they were replaced by the golden light of the Nameless Pagoda.

He was converted.

The practice of guiding and converting beings has always been a unique and profound skill in Buddhism, and it has two sides.

It can be seen as a very evil law, but it can also be seen as a very upright law.

It depends on how you use it.

Unjustly converting a good person and turning an enemy into an ally is somewhat evil and not much different from cult brainwashing.

However, when used on bad people, turning a bad person into a good one is a perfectly legitimate method.

It depends on how you use it.

The nameless pagoda's greatest power is cause and effect, whether it's forgetting, concealing, or severing ties.

Block out cause and effect, block out perception, block out everything, sever cause and effect, sever the soul, sever everything, then forget everything, be reshaped by the Buddha's light, become a new life, or be refined.

The concept of cause and effect is the strongest ability of Buddhism, and they are very good at it.

As mentioned before, Taoism emphasizes nature, Buddhism emphasizes self-realization, and Confucianism emphasizes self-strengthening.

As can be seen from self-evidence, cause and effect is the best path to self-evidence.

Anchor yourself to a cause, and then spend your whole life practicing self-realization. Even if the cause you anchored to didn't exist in the first place, you can still achieve perfection through your own efforts.

Then you yourself become Buddha, Buddha's land, Buddha's light.

Strictly speaking, Buddhism is atheistic; it is only in folk beliefs that gods, monks, arhats, bodhisattvas, Buddhas, and the like appear.

True Buddhism has no gods.

Rather, it means that everyone has Buddha-nature. You don't need to worship a clay Buddha; you can worship yourself, because you have Buddha-nature within yourself and are a future Buddha.

If you are enlightened, you are a Buddha; if you are not enlightened, you should cultivate yourself. Everyone has Buddha-nature; it's not mysterious.

This is also a form of self-proof.

You are Buddha yourself. Even if you cultivate for a lifetime and don't become a Buddha, don't be afraid. Just come back in the next life. You will become a Buddha someday.

Accumulated merits over lifetimes lead to Buddhahood in a single day.

Everything has a cause, and then an inevitable effect.

This is why Buddhism seems unreal and always feels like a deception.

The goal was set right from the start: cause and effect, and even here, cause and effect exists at the eighth level.

Starting from a weak being, how can one not pursue the eighth level of cause and effect?
In short, the goal was set too high. Setting such a goal from the beginning gives people a feeling that it is unrealistic and impractical.

This is actually great wisdom.

What is cause and effect? We've discussed that before.

Above the seventh level of the True Spirit Sacred Path, cultivators seek to transcend the shackles of their own structure.

Begin to touch and master the most fundamental law of cause and effect, and try to anchor your existence to a more ancient and essential level.

At this point, the cultivator can be regarded as an incredibly complex and precise causal machine.

Every birth, every rise and fall of civilization, and even every heartbeat of all beings within the dantian world are connected and guided by countless "law threads" of varying thickness that emit a faint light.

The past, present, and future are presented in a wondrous state of interweaving and collapse within this network.

Known as "the Enforcers of the Way," they walk along the threads of destiny, and with a flick of their wrist, they can alter the rules of the world.

They can also be called "paradoxes," who struggle within themselves, trying to break free from predetermined paths.

The influence of the Chaos Sea is no longer a direct impact, but rather an attempt to pollute, distort, and interfere with the "web of cause and effect" itself.

This is the causal level.

Although Buddhism is still far from reaching this level, it has already taken shape.

The pagoda, formed from the accumulation of karma, fortune, and merit, enlightened the cicada without bloodshed.

Minghui and the others felt it was all a bit unreal.

Even if you've weighed the pros and cons in your mind and are full of confidence, you still feel a little dazed when the moment actually comes.

"Amitabha!"

Minghui uttered a Buddhist chant.

This is a positive statement, confirming that Wu Chan has been converted and that the Buddhist community's efforts over the years have not been in vain.

An unnamed stupa can be given the name 'Karma Pagoda'.

It truly possesses mysterious and unpredictable abilities, and it is indeed possible to suppress a deity through the combined efforts of the Buddhist community.

Although it brought together the strength of the entire Buddhist community, it is still something to be proud of.

Despite his cultivation level being only at the late second stage, he led a group of people to suppress a fourth-stage Saint. How could he not be proud?

"Sect Leader, what should we do with Wu Chan, the Evil Buddha?"

At this moment, Wu Chan, the evil Buddha, has been converted, or rather, he has become a puppet of the Pagoda of Cause and Effect, with the pagoda controlling his life and death.

It's just a matter of a single thought.

“Let him atone for his sins in the pagoda,” Minghui said.

The so-called atonement means that Wu Chan will be a puppet of cause and effect for the rest of his life, providing faith to enhance the power of the Pagoda of Cause and Effect.

Like believers in a Buddhist kingdom, they attained great freedom.

This great freedom, however, is a faith machine devoid of emotion.

…………

"Boom—Crack—"

Far away, the Wu Chan Evil Buddha Realm suddenly trembled, and the realm, which was barely at the fifth level of essence, suddenly began to collapse.

A rapid decline occurred.

The only sacred being born in this realm is Wu Chan, which is the weakest of the micro-realms.

Wu Chan is an exceptionally rebellious person, and he is very unaware of it.

From the moment of its birth, it never intended to elevate the realm it inhabited; even if it were to elevate itself, it would only be to elevate its physical body, in order to break free from the constraints of the realm.

Therefore, the Wuchan Realm remains as strong as it is at birth, without any improvement whatsoever.

The cicada was enlightened, not killed.

It's alright if it's destroyed, the origin of the realm can still reclaim its own origin through connection, and can revive Wu Chan.

Being converted is different; it's like changing your program and your soul.

This loss is quite significant. The precarious Cicada Realm collapsed in an instant, its essence regressing from the fifth rank to the fourth rank.

The fourth-order realm should not exist in essence.

After all, any realm capable of giving birth to divinity requires a fifth-order essence.

There is no realm of fourth-order essence.

Due to the actions of the Buddhist sect, the fourth-order realm appeared.

If left to change, this realm will soon be torn apart by the main world and disappear.

The ability to support such a large space in the realm indicates that it possesses at least a fifth-order essence.

The fourth-order essence cannot support the space of this realm; this is determined by the rules of this realm.

The Buddhist community also discovered it.

It was Wu Chan, who had already been converted, who informed the higher-ups of Buddhism through the Karma Pagoda, telling them to hurry up and grab a bargain.

It is clear that this method of salvation is indeed very evil.

If Buddhism were to indiscriminately guide and convert sentient beings, one can imagine how terrifying that would be.

Fortunately, the Buddhist community knew about the pagoda's power, but they hadn't used it for a hundred years because they didn't want to become stronger in this way.

It's all about cause and effect; you reap what you sow.

They understand the cost of manipulating cause and effect better than anyone else.

Even with arduous spiritual practice, gradual effort, and slow progress, one should not seek the shortcut of liberating sentient beings.

Because the cost is great, the cost was laid in the moment they intended to save all sentient beings.

It's best to have no such thoughts in your mind. Even if you do, it's okay. Having delusions is fine, but don't cling to them.

It's not good to become obsessed with something.

It's impossible for a person to be without thoughts or desires; after all, we are human, not gods.

The absence of delusions is Buddhahood; that is called Buddha-nature, divinity.

Their level of attainment is too low; the standard for achieving Buddhahood in Buddhism is the eighth level of cause and effect, which is too far beyond their reach.

Having delusions is not terrible; restraining them from acting on them and not being attached to them is the way to cultivate oneself.

Therefore, Buddhism has never used the power of the Karma Pagoda. The Karma Pagoda has reached its current level because Buddhism has gradually strengthened and cultivated it day by day and year by year.

This kind of cause and effect is the most correct and the least likely to be chaotic.

Once the karmic consequences accumulate, they bring countless curses and resentments. It is conceivable that this is karma.

"go!"

Minghui quickly made a decision.

In fact, he didn't know what he had gained, and neither did Wu Chan; they simply said it was an opportunity, a great chance.

He didn't know the specifics.

The Buddhist community doesn't understand either, but they still have to go and see, not out of greed, but out of normal effort.

The group had barely left one battlefield when they rushed to another 'new battlefield'.

Along the way, Minghui wondered what benefits there would be from the collapse and downgrading of the realm.
Could it be that, like the Star Mother Primordial Sovereign, one destroyed a realm to obtain its origin?

That would be great.

Everyone knows that the origin of realms is a treasure, but unfortunately it is extremely rare, and most people are unaware of its existence.

Only powerful forces are qualified to participate.

Moreover, the source of the substance is very limited; it can only be obtained when the Star Mother Yuanjun destroys the realm.

The divine realm network of divine cultivators requires the origin of the realm. Even the simplest way of refining the origin of the realm is a kind of spiritual medicine that has no side effects.

Of course, this is on the premise that you have a strong enough will.

Having a weak will is harmful. With a strong will, one can easily advance from a first-order transcendent being to a fourth-order being by devouring the origin of the realm.

Soon, the group arrived in front of the Wuchan Realm.

Deep within the core of the Enlightenment Realm, the essence born from the fusion of distorted divinity and the resentment of countless beast souls serves as the anchor and driving force for the realm's existence.

When Wu Chan's illusory figure suddenly disintegrated and vanished in some unknown ultimate confrontation, the pillar that held this distorted world together collapsed instantly!
As the root of the law withered, a silent yet soul-shaking "crack" sound came from the depths of the realm's origin.

It was as if the spine supporting the chaotic sky had been forcibly torn away. The twisted power of laws that originally flowed in the flesh and blood of the realm, like blood in a heart that had lost its pump, suddenly stopped, flowed backward, and went out of control!
The foundation of supernatural powers has weathered away, and that Buddha statue was once the only concrete manifestation of "sacredness" in this world.

His disappearance caused the distorted concept of "Wu Chan" to lose its core symbolism and support.

The "legitimacy" and "cohesive will" of the entire realm began to crumble and dissipate at a visible speed.

It resembles a blasphemous Buddha statue painted with filthy blood, its "divine" pigments rapidly oxidizing and fading, leaving only a foul and filthy base.

Having lost its sacred core, the essence of the realm began to irreversibly degrade! It was collapsing from a distorted "quasi-Buddha Kingdom" back into a vast, filthy, and dying super-flesh and blood ruin.

Signs of collapse spread like a plague, followed by the collapse of the spatial structure.

The galaxy of blood vessels has dried up. The "galaxy of blood vessels" that crisscrosses the realm and is composed of huge biological blood vessels and twisted spatial channels is like the meridians of a giant beast that has been drained of all its blood. It is withering and collapsing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The "river" that once surged with energy and the laws of travel quickly shrank into an empty tube, which then broke and turned to ash.

The "stars" and "demon sun" formed by huge energy clusters, which hung high in the "sky", suddenly dimmed as if they were candles flickering in the wind.

The surface of the star began to peel away, like a giant, rotting jelly, trailing a long trajectory as it fell toward the crumbling earth.

The Demon Sun, like a punctured image, collapsed inward with its intense light, eventually transforming into a twisted, dark abyss that continuously devoured the surrounding matter and light.

The thick, scorched earth that made up the ground began to boil and bubble violently. The earth was no longer a solid entity, but a giant swamp churning with broken debris, constantly sinking and swallowing everything on it.

The laws that maintain the stability of spacetime have failed, and space is like a broken mirror, riddled with cracks. The flow of time fluctuates in local areas, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, and sometimes even flows backward.

One moment Cicada Mountain is intact, the next it may be swallowed up by a sudden spatial rift, or it may be reverted to an embryonic state by the chaotic power of time and then instantly decay into ashes.

The entire Beast Creation Realm, at this moment, resembled the corpse of a prehistoric behemoth whose internal organs had been emptied, whose flesh had been stripped away, and whose bones had been shattered, slowly and desperately sinking into the filthy swamp of pus and blood.

The once pulsating "core of the giant Buddha," a symbol of twisted vitality, is now nothing more than a filthy pit that is constantly collapsing and bubbling with foul stench.

Deep within the pit, faint, drawn-out, distorted, inhuman screams and sobs could still be heard—the mournful cries of the last remaining fragments of consciousness before their complete annihilation.

The collapse was irreversible, and the Buddhist monks who arrived at the scene were stunned.

It's not like we haven't seen realms collapse before; after all, even if we haven't eaten pork, we've seen pigs run, right?
The images of Star Mother Yuanjun destroying the world spread everywhere. Although the middle and lower-level cultivators could not see it, the Buddhist sect, as one of the four super sects, had already studied it.

However, it's nothing compared to what I see right now.

The Star Mother Yuanjun's destruction of the realm is a gradual process, like a mosquito sucking blood, first numbing the person so that they can't feel it until they are sucked blood.

The Star Mother Primordial Sovereign's insect-based world-destroying technique works in this way: it's a gradual, nibbling process to prevent the realm from collapsing instantly.

This is the power of the Star Mother Primordial Sovereign; otherwise, it would be something that arose in response to the times.

The Buddhists see it differently; it's a short-term collapse, with an entire realm shattering right before their eyes.

Of course, the reason they were so fast was not because they were so strong, or even because they killed Wu Chan.

The more important reason is the downgrade of the realm, which dropped from the fifth rank to the fourth rank.

The fifth order can exist, but the rules of the fourth order do not allow it to exist. This is equivalent to the rules of heaven and earth destroying the Enlightenment Realm, which is why the speed is so fast.

This can be understood as the rules erasing a boundary.

Thus, this shocking situation arose. (End of Chapter)
