Chapter 1128 Shengnan 60
Jin Jue found an ice pack and had Jiang Shengnan lie on his lap while he applied an ice pack to her eyes. The living room was very quiet; their breathing could be clearly heard.

“I particularly dislike this version of myself,” Jiang Shengnan said softly. “Vain, concerned with appearances, and also sensitive and internally conflicted. I say I’ve completely cut ties with the past, but I still subconsciously crave love from others.”

Jin Jue gently stroked Jiang Shengnan's long hair, listening quietly as Jiang Shengnan spoke: "I really hate this side of myself."

“I really like it,” he said, holding Jiang Shengnan’s hand with his left hand. After she trembled slightly, he tightened his grip to prevent her from breaking free. “If you weren’t this kind of person, I wouldn’t even have the chance to sit at the table.”

“Nannan, no matter which aspect it is, it is a part of you. Don’t keep focusing on these things. You have many advantages. Being beautiful and having a good figure are just the most insignificant things about you.”

Jiang Shengnan tried to pull off the ice pack, but Jin Jue pressed her hand down: "Keep it on for a while longer."

Jiang Shengnan's lips curled up slightly: "Then tell me, what are my strengths?"

“That’s too many,” Jin Jue began to list them one by one: “She can dance, she can sew, she’s also a great cook, she’s loyal and warm to her friends, and she takes good care of anyone she truly cares about.”

"She is also soft-hearted and sentimental."

"You say you're vain, and I disagree with that. Everyone has the right to pursue a high-quality life. If we're talking about vanity, then my collection of so many luxury cars and watches—isn't that vanity?"

Jiang Shengnan finally smiled, and Jin Jue tapped her dimple on her left cheek: "It's been a long time since I've seen you so happy."

Jiang Shengnan couldn't hold back any longer. She snatched the ice pack away and sat on Jin Jue's lap, laughing so hard she was almost convulsing. Jin Jue looked at her, puzzled. Only after Jiang Shengnan finally stopped laughing did he hug her tightly: "What's so funny?"

“It’s really funny,” Jiang Shengnan wiped away the tears from laughing: “It’s like the lines that often appear in CEO novels, such as when a certain butler says that this is the first time President Jin has brought a girl home.”

"For example, it's been a long time since I've seen President Jin so happy."

"But now that you're saying this to me, I really find it funny."

Jin Jue understood what she meant and couldn't help but find it amusing. He leaned closer to Jiang Shengnan and asked, "So you read CEO romance novels sometimes?"

"I'll just glance at you occasionally," Jiang Shengnan leaned back, "You should stay away from me. I promised you, but you're getting too close."

“Nannan,” Jin Jue said softly, holding her fingers, “I’m 37.”

"I know, you're six years older than me." Jiang Shengnan asked, puzzled, "What's wrong?"

"You've made me, a man in my thirties, feel so comfortable and unmoved, yet I remain steadfast in your presence. Are you testing me?" Jin Jue held Jiang Shengnan's fingers and leaned down to kiss them.

Jiang Shengnan shrank back slightly, intimidated by the aggressive look in Jin Jue's eyes: "But...it's too fast, I want to be in a relationship."

She knows everything she needs to know, but can't she have a sweet romance? She's never been in a relationship.

Jin Jue gritted her teeth: "Fine, let's talk, let's start with a kiss."

Leaning on Jin Jue's shoulder to catch her breath, Jiang Shengnan nudged his shoulder and said, "Who starts a relationship with a kiss? Doesn't it usually start with holding hands and hugging, taking it one step at a time?"

"Let me think," Jin Jue said, pretending to recall, "Haven't we held hands or hugged before? Didn't we hug when we watched the movie? As for holding hands, we did this morning."

"This counts?" Jiang Shengnan's peach blossom eyes widened slightly, and after a long while, she managed to choke out, "Jin Jue, you are really shameless."

“If you have any sense of shame, you won’t have a wife,” Jin Jue laughed loudly. He picked up Jiang Shengnan around the waist and carried her upstairs. “You’re too light. I need to fatten you up. You’re too bony to hold right now.”

"Don't hug me if it's uncomfortable," Jiang Shengnan rolled her eyes and obediently wrapped her arms around Jin Jue's shoulders. "Put me down, I can walk by myself."

“No,” Jin Jue refused outright, pushing open the door to the room at the corner of the second floor: “I finally managed to win over my wife, so naturally I want to hold her a little longer.” “Shameless, who’s your wife?” Jiang Shengnan spat, but her eyes were full of laughter.

"Why did you bring me here?" Jiang Shengnan glanced at the room, which seemed to be a workshop. There was a large table by the window with various sewing tools on it.

In one corner of the workbench were various fabrics.

"Knowing you like sewing, I specially set up a room for you." Jin Jue stood in front of Jiang Shengnan. "I don't know when you will come here, but I think you would be happy if you saw it."

Jiang Shengnan's heart softened for a moment. She looked up at Jin Jue and asked, "When was this set up?"

"It was the first time you treated me to a meal since I came back from N City," Jin Jue said softly. "I wasn't sure when you would come, or even if you would come at all, but it's your hobby, and I found it quite interesting when I looked into it."

Jiang Shengnan smiled and, for the first time, leaned into Jin Jue's arms, her pointed chin resting against his chest: "How humble you sound. Hug, President Jin."

"Still calling me President Jin?" Jin Jue wasn't about to let go of this kind of benefit from his girlfriend taking the initiative. He placed his left hand on Jiang Shengnan's back: "You said you'd change your address when we went to the resort last time. Now that you're my girlfriend, why don't you change your address?"

Jiang Shengnan asked curiously, "Then what should I call him? Jin Jue?"

"No, I'm too unfamiliar with it."

"Brother Jin?"

“You’re not my brother. Only brothers call me Brother Jin.”

"What about A-Jue?"

Jin Jue reluctantly agreed: "Alright, calling me husband sounds better."

"Shameless!" Jiang Shengnan shoved him. "Jin Jue, you're really shameless."

“Yes, I’m shameless,” Jin Jue said, easily carrying Jiang Shengnan away from the workbench. Jiang Shengnan looked at him with bright eyes.

Jin Jue chuckled: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"You're amazing! You were able to lift me up." Jiang Shengnan said honestly, "I'm quite heavy. I used to be thinking about finding someone who could give me a princess carry someday."

“I’m still a grown man,” Jin Jue tapped her nose. “If I couldn’t carry my wife, wouldn’t that be embarrassing? Eat without worry, I’ll still be able to carry you even if you grow to 200 pounds. Besides, where are you heavy? You’re so light now.”

“That won’t do,” Jiang Shengnan refused outright. “I don’t want to get that fat; it’s bad for my health.”

As she spoke, she walked to the shelf, rummaged through it for a while, and then laughed, "Why did you choose so many dark-colored fabrics?"

“I want you to make me clothes too,” Jin Jue said, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. “Sara and the others all received clothes from you.”

Jiang Shengnan sensed the sourness in his words, and she nudged Jin Jue's cheek with her forehead: "I don't know how to make men's clothing, let me study it for a while before we talk about it."

"But you're wearing custom-made clothes, would you really appreciate my little handicrafts?"

“You’re also a custom-made item, made for my wife.” Jin Jue wouldn’t let go: “Take your time learning, I’m not in a rush. I’d be happy even if you just made me a handkerchief.”

Jiang Shengnan couldn't help but chuckle, thinking that this grown man could also play the victim and be cunning, managing to make asking for gifts sound so elegant and unconventional.
