Chapter 460 Favor
"Drink some water first. This is what I just received. It's cold now." An Yin looked at her cracked lips and quickly handed the water to her mouth.

"I'll do it myself." As Shi Qing spoke, he supported himself on the bed and sat up, then took the disposable plastic water cup handed to him by An Yin.

"Oh."

After a good night's sleep, Shi Qing's mental state improved a lot.

"Gu Gu."

"Gu Gu."

Two faint voices were heard in the noisy ward.

After An Yin and Shi Qing looked at each other, the corners of their lips both raised up and they let out clear, silver bell-like laughter.

An Yin had never seen Shi Qingxiao before. Even though the black-framed glasses she wore covered half of her face, An Yin couldn't help but pause for a few seconds when she saw the corners of her lips raised.

Shi Qing noticed the look in An Yin's eyes, quickly suppressed his smile, and lowered his head very unnaturally, "What time is it now?"

"It's a little after four in the afternoon." An Yin answered honestly.

"You haven't eaten anything today?"

An Yin spoke while the microwave was circulating, "Hmm."

"You go eat first. I'm fine staying in the hospital alone." Shi Qing has never had the habit of relying on others since she was a child. Now that she is sick, An Yin's care for her makes her feel a little uncomfortable.

She didn't want to owe anyone a favor, even though An Yin held a special place in her heart.

An Yin thought that Shi Qing hadn't eaten yet, so she nodded, "Then I'll go buy something to eat."

"Ok."

Because of the high fever, Shi Qing's hair on her forehead was wet, and even the clothes she was wearing were wet. She looked very disheveled. It was not until she saw An Yin get up and leave that she began to tidy up her clothes and tied her ponytail again.

The ward where Shi Qing lives is basically full of virus-infected patients. The doctor recommends that everyone wear masks, especially the caregivers.

In the crowded elevator, An Yin stood at the innermost position wearing a mask.

I walked through the hall and for a while before arriving at the cafeteria.

She ordered a bowl of porridge and a fast food meal to take away.

There is a display screen in front of Shi Qing's bed, which reminds patients to eat a light diet.

When she returned to the inpatient building, she was waiting in front of the elevator. There were quite a few people gathered around her. The elevator had to stop at every floor. Most of the people were waiting anxiously, complaining with dissatisfaction.

An Yin stood by, holding things in both hands to prevent the porridge in the box from spilling out, and she tried to keep the hand holding the bag still.

While waiting, An Yin stood on tiptoe and looked towards the elevator. There were many men standing in front of her, blocking her view.

Just then, a familiar voice came into her ears.

"She shouldn't be in any serious condition. There's no need for you to come here in person." The woman turned her head and stared at the man beside her with seductive eyes.

The tall man didn't say anything, as if he didn't take the woman's words seriously at all.

Seeing this, the woman lowered her head in embarrassment, with a hint of loss in her eyes.

An Yin's eyes widened slightly and his gaze fell on Wen Mei not far away.

How could Wen Mei be here? An Yin complained in her mind. While she was stunned, the elevator door slowly opened, and before the people inside could come out, everyone rushed in. An Yin looked at this situation, fearing that others would bump into the food in her hand, so she thought about waiting for another elevator.

Wen Mei looked at the scene in front of her, her eyes slightly narrowed with delicate makeup, and she couldn't help complaining in a low voice, "What kind of quality are these people?" Her voice was not loud, but many people around her heard it and looked towards her.

Wen Mei ignored everyone's looks, snorted with contempt in her eyes, and seemed very disdainful.

When she raised her eyes, Wen Mei noticed the indifferent expression on the man's face. She felt as if a fly had been eaten by her and felt very upset.

An Yin was wearing a mask that covered half of her face. Looking at Wen Mei who was right in front of her, she was about to go up and say hello when another elevator slowly opened. She watched two people walk towards the elevator. When An Yin came to her senses, the door had already closed.

An Yin pouted in annoyance and could only wait for the next trip.

At the door of the ward, Wen Mei was holding a bag filled with a lot of fruits. When she arrived at the door of the ward, the man next to her stopped.

"Aren't you going in?" Wen Mei looked at the man standing by the wall, a solemn look on his handsome face.

"You go ahead." The man said, his lips tightly pursed.

Seeing the man's gloomy face, Wen Mei nodded, "Then I'll go in first."

Without waiting for the man's answer, Wen Mei concealed her inner dejection and pushed open the door of the ward.

Outside the door, the man raised his head, looked around with a clear gaze, and finally found a place to smoke according to the signs on the wall.

After a while, he came to the end of the corridor, where many men gathered, each holding a cigarette in his hand, puffing smoke. A man stood in the corner, and while smoking, he took out his mobile phone from his pocket, unlocked it, and looked at the photos on the screen. His cold gaze gradually softened.

The smoke lingered in front of his eyes, making his vision gradually become illusory. However, the youthful and beautiful face of the girl in the photo seemed to have been engraved in his heart.

"Don't worry, I will take good care of her!"

After a long while, the man uttered a cold word.

When An Yin rushed to the ward with her things, she happened to see Wen Mei chatting with Shi Qing.

"An Yin!" Wen Mei stood at the end of the bed and greeted An Yin.

"Sister Mei." An Yin called out in a daze. She didn't expect the other party to come to see Shi Qing. If she was not mistaken, there was a man following Sister Mei. An Yin looked around and did not see the man.

The man had his back to her at the time, so An Yin didn't see his appearance clearly.

"Seeing that someone is taking care of you, I feel relieved." Wen Mei smiled at Shi Qing.

"Thank you for coming to see me." Shi Qing spoke a little awkwardly.

"Haha, you're welcome." Wen Mei looked around the ward for a few seconds and covered her nose with her hand from time to time.

This ward is not big, with four beds and several caregivers. When there are too many people, the air becomes blocked and there is always an unpleasant smell at the tip of the nose, which is unbearable.

Shi Qing also noticed the unnatural look on Wen Mei's face. Before she could speak, Wen Mei glanced at what An Yin was holding and said hurriedly, "Since you haven't eaten yet, I won't disturb you."

"Okay." Shi Qing didn't like small talk and replied woodenly.

"Goodbye!" Wen Mei waved at the two of them.

An Yin pulled her lips and smiled, "Goodbye!"

After Wen Mei left, Shi Qing looked at the bag on the bedside table and let out a deep breath.

She and Wen Mei didn't seem to be that familiar with each other! However, she always felt that this woman seemed to care about her a little too much? Maybe she was too sensitive, Shi Qing thought.
