I am reborn and refuse to be a sickly rich woman

Chapter 422 Author's Closing Remarks!

Chapter 422 Author's Closing Remarks! (New Book Announcement)

(This was posted to the wrong VIP account, please don't subscribe!) This book was published from early June of last year to mid-July of this year, which is a full year.

192 million words, which is nearly two million words, is actually quite a lot for a story that focuses on everyday romance.

Of course, it's still much less than the 3.6 million words of the previous book, and the smoothness in the later parts isn't even that good.

After reflecting on myself, I realized the biggest problem lies with the female lead.

This book is, after all, a dual-female protagonist novel. No matter how contrasting or entangled the two female protagonists are, there will eventually be aesthetic fatigue.

Moreover, many parts are similar, which makes writing them a bit boring, so the update speed became very slow in the later stages.

The biggest difference compared to the previous book is the number of female protagonists!

After all, the last book had as many as six female protagonists at the end...

(In an era where single-female-lead dramas are rampant and multiple female-lead dramas are reported by fans as soon as they appear, it's really not easy. You could say that you might be purged any day now.)

So, for those who haven't read it yet, you can check out my previous book, "Rebirth: I Will Never Be a Simp." The quality of that book is undeniable, so read it and cherish it.
Of course, there are many other problems as well. For example, Nikki's character design is a bit thin, and her yandere side is not "yandere" enough.

I've seen all the questions you've asked about the other two female supporting characters, Xiaomai and Xiaozhu.

Regarding the issue of the female supporting characters, I feel free to reflect on my actions. The character settings established in the early stages were too weak. As a female supporting character, there was nothing wrong with her, and the fact that everyone felt sorry for her actually proves that these two female supporting characters are still quite likable in some aspects.

Of course, this only applies to the role of the female supporting character. If she were to be treated as the female lead, it would be too one-dimensional.

Of course, the book doesn't explain it, leaving it to the reader's imagination.

In conclusion, this book may not have met the expectations of longtime readers, but overall, the first and middle parts were still acceptable, after all, it is a high-quality book. The later part was weak, which was also due to my lack of energy and failure to keep up with the updates.

So in the following month or two, the number of subscribers plummeted, and it was basically just living off past earnings with no income.

Of course, this is also my own fault. People are willing to pay to read my books, so the audience is God. No matter what the mistakes are, they are all my fault. I will always remember this.

Therefore, I am responsible for my work.

For others, this kind of performance might lead to a complete failure or the company abandoning the project altogether, and they could just start over under a different name.

However, I'm a bit of a hothead, just like the male protagonist in my novel. Once we're truly in a relationship, I'll definitely take full responsibility.

So even though I had almost zero income for the next two or three months, I never thought about abandoning the story, let alone changing the title and starting a new book to make money.

I still care about my personal brand.

To be a little vain, I also hope that the phrase "cats playing with dogs" will become a shining banner in the future of urban romance novels.

Of course, all of this is thanks to the support of all readers. Along the way, we have had the constant companionship of our old readers and the continuous support of new readers.

I was also impressed by several active book fans in the comments section and fan groups, although some of them might be "Little Nan Niang"... haha.

Just kidding, but you are all really lovely people, and you all have a beautiful yearning for life. Meeting you is a happy reward for me in writing this book.

So, I am especially grateful for your support along the way.

I've reflected on this many times, and there are many problems. For example, I always try to avoid similarities with the previous book, but it's the same subject matter, even the same style. It's all about rebirth, starting from high school, daily love life, and the characters are the most profound templates.

So while I avoided some areas, the consequence was that many of my most suitable and best-known strengths and talents were not brought into play.

I have learned my lesson in this regard.

Therefore, I can also make a promise in advance for my next book. I can't guarantee that everything will be so original, or that every chapter will be so wonderful, but I will definitely continue to maintain my unique style of playing with cats and dogs.

Of course, I will also try to innovate and experiment while maintaining my style.

For example, for the next book, there are already at least three or four candidates for the female lead.

I can reveal a little bit in advance...

There are still childhood sweethearts, there are still unexpected romantic partners, there are still wealthy older sisters, and there might even be exotic charm... (There's even a pair of sisters among them~)

Ahem, I can’t say anymore.

As you all know from reading my books, I'm quite skilled at creating various types of female protagonists.

Moreover, I've decided this time not to let the female leads have a chaotic battle in one place. I'll separate them and set them in different backgrounds and scenes to bring more unexpected freshness.

Moreover, this time it won't just stop at the student days, but will extend the timeline to the working stage, which is also an experiment. The business storyline is still not the focus, but is just a supplement to the romance storyline. However, this time I will learn more and write it with more care.

The next book will also be a rebirth story.

This is also my third book. I've been updating slowly these past few months because I've been working on this book all along. I have a feeling that this book might be my culmination of all my work.

The first book was written when I was both lucky and at my peak, so although it was a bit lacking at the beginning, it later turned around and won over the critics.

The second book achieved good results in the early and middle stages due to the experience gained, and it quickly became a masterpiece. However, in the later stages, it lost some momentum due to the aforementioned reasons.

I'm very cautious about this third book, but I'm also very confident.

The exact release date is still uncertain, mainly because I am still in the process of conceiving and refining the book.

I consider myself a rather persistent and temperamental author, and I do have certain requirements for my own work.

I don't expect my book to become a classic, but at least it should be worth every penny you spend.

Therefore, I will polish my next book carefully and strive to give everyone the best work I have at this stage.

Last but not least, thank you all for your continued support.

I also hope that my next work will leave behind female characters like An Xiaomi and Yao Mingyue, who have some minor flaws but are the most vivid and unforgettable...

The ultimate aim of books about cats and dogs is always to evoke warmth and fulfillment.

There won't be any major flaws, the plot won't be overly simplistic, there won't be any regrets, and it certainly won't be a rushed, abandoned production...

I don't aspire to become a literary giant, but I hope that all readers will smile knowingly as they turn the last page after finishing the book.

Finally, a good night's sleep is all you need.

Finally, thank you all for your continued support. Cat and Dog are deeply grateful!
Wishing everyone a happy life and all the best.

(Finally, if any readers of the "study version" have already reached the finale, please do come and vote for it. Of course, if you are a student or someone who is struggling financially, I understand. The most important thing is that you enjoy reading my book. Thank you again.)
