Shen Ge simply told the two brothers that he needed "adhesive" and gave them a goal to get it. However, this thing was produced by a second-tier monster, and he thought that the two brothers would suffer setbacks at first, and would only be able to get the adhesive back after they became familiar with the other side's combat style.

On the very first night, the two brothers brought him back a large bucket. Shen Ge was surprised and gave the two brothers high praise, which made them very happy.

After receiving the adhesive, Shen Ge immediately began a new process at the shipyard.

He directed his two brothers to forcibly fix the cut alloy deck to the ship's frame through pre-drilled holes using tough, strange tendons and metal rivets.

He then personally took charge, carefully and evenly applying the pungent, viscous liquid to the seams of each deck.

When the liquid comes into contact with the metal, it makes a slight "sizzling" sound and quickly solidifies, forming a layer of black, rubber-like elastic substance that perfectly seals the gap completely.

From then on, this ship possessed the "bones" of technology and the "flesh" of the bizarre.

But this is not enough.

"The defense still needs to be reinforced," Shen Ge muttered to himself, looking at the partially completed hull.

Alloy armor can withstand wind and waves, but if it encounters a sea monster with sharp teeth and giant claws, it may still be torn apart, so he needs an extra layer of "armor".

This time, he turned his attention to another type of second-order anomaly that inhabits the rocky reef area by the sea—the "Ironback Snail Crab".

These names were actually chosen by Shen Ge, following the naming convention of the Special Affairs Department: characteristics plus prototype.

This bizarre shell is as hard as steel and covered with sharp bone spurs, making it a natural defensive weapon.

Shen Ge once again entrusted the task of hunting the bizarre creatures to Kyle and Roca.

The two boys did not disappoint him. They used the tidal patterns to lure a group of ironbacked snails into a narrow crevice in the rocks, then blocked the exit with a boulder, easily completing their hunt.

Alai, Ellie, and Moya joined in the next step, carefully hammering the giant snail shells into pieces of varying sizes.

Shen Ge continued to use the slime of the "sticky worm" as glue to densely cover the entire hull of the ship with these strange armor plates that shimmered with metallic luster and had hideous bone spurs, one by one, like fish scales.

Another half month passed, and when the last piece of armor was firmly glued to the bow, the final form of the ship was finally revealed to everyone.

It is about thirty meters long, with the lower half being sloping armor that gleams with a cold metallic light, and the upper half being covered with densely packed black bone spike armor plates that shimmer with an eerie glow.

The ship no longer resembled a man-made tool, but rather a terrifying monster awakened from the deep sea, stitched together from steel and bones. Ugly and bizarre, its movement at sea might even be mistaken for an eerie attack.

This "stitched ship," which combines Shen Ge's modern engineering knowledge with the bizarre ecology of this world, has finally been completed.

But it had no sails, no rudder, no power; it only possessed a powerful body capable of conquering this raging ocean.

Half a year passed quietly in a cycle of hammering, moving, and hunting.

The "stitched boat" No. 1 in the bay is no longer just a skeleton; it is gradually becoming more complete, with every inch of its hull bearing the marks of this temporary family's hard work and struggles. But this process is far more difficult and lengthy than Shen Ge initially anticipated.

He soon discovered that relying solely on brute force for construction was extremely inefficient. The connection and installation of many critical components required sophisticated mechanical structures for support, such as the mast base and, most importantly, the steering system—the rudder.

He needed a mast that was large and strong enough. The trees on the island had long been twisted and fragile due to the erosion of the strange energy, and could not withstand the storms of the open ocean. He also needed a sail that was both lightweight and would not be corroded by the sea wind.

So he set his sights on the strange creature.

As the sarcoma heart in the center of the jungle "grows" and the blood-red fungal carpet spreads out, more and more bizarre things begin to appear.

The two brothers faced endless monsters to kill every day, and sometimes they were so exhausted that they collapsed.

This also led Shen Ge to collect a large amount of materials, including a giant flying monster called the "Storm Winged Bat".

These strange wing bones are hollow yet tough, and are a natural mast material;

Its wings are made of a membrane that is a hundred times stronger than any canvas and have an inherently excellent aerodynamic shape.

Hunting such a sky overlord is still too difficult for Kyle and Roca. The first one was killed by Shen Ge using a bone spear, and then he lured it into the valley and used the two brothers as bait before he could barely kill it.

But now, to make a "sail", one is not enough.

To this end, Shen Ge spent a whole month teaching the two brothers how to climb and rappel on the cliff, and how to use wind direction and terrain to create a perfect hunting trap.

He used charcoal to draw complex mechanical diagrams on the beach, explaining the principles of levers and pulley systems. He wanted to teach them how to use their wisdom to kill enemies far stronger than themselves.

The two boys seemed to understand, but they still engraved every word Shen Ge said in their hearts.

Finally, atop a towering cliff, they succeeded.

Kyle acted as bait, luring the swooping monstrosities into a dive, while Roca, under Shen Ge's precise instructions, used a sharpened metal rod to trigger the boulder trap they had set over several days. The severely wounded monstrosities fell to the ground, becoming their spoils.

One, two... The three of them had almost wiped out the Storm Winged Bats in the valley and collected enough raw materials.

Shen Ge used the two thickest wing bones of the monstrous-winged bat as the mainmast and secondary mast, and used its complete wing membrane to make the mainsail. When this dark red giant sail with strange patterns was raised, the entire ship exuded an indescribable wild aura.

"Wearing an eye patch, I feel like I could set sail and become a pirate, I don't even need a pirate flag." Shen Ge looked at the mainsail and couldn't help but sigh.

With the mast and sail issues resolved, the next step was to make the rudder, whose design was far more ingenious than that of the mast and sail.

Shen Ge hunted down a deep-sea "Shielded Crocodile" and took its hardest jawbone, which he then polished into a huge rudder blade.

The rudder was controlled by a complex lever and pulley transmission system designed by him personally. He used tough, strange tendons as transmission cables and polished animal bones as pulleys, building a sophisticated, handcrafted machine in the cramped cabin that allowed even a little girl like Moya to easily turn the heavy rudder.

This knowledge, which is merely an application of basic physics in the modern world, is nothing short of a miracle at this moment, on this primitive, isolated island.

However, just as their "Ark One" was becoming more and more perfect, the "revitalization" of the island also reached its final, frenzied stage.

The crimson fungal carpet was no longer content to spread from the island's center; like a living tide, it swept over the hills, eroded the forests, and even began to climb the cliffs of the bay where it resided. The air was perpetually filled with a cloying, pungent smell of blood and decaying plants. The sky grew increasingly dark, with thick, pus-drenched clouds hanging over the island year-round, obscuring the sunlight.

The types and numbers of bizarre creatures are increasing exponentially, and even "fourth-order" beings have appeared, which even Shen Ge finds troublesome.

These fourth-tier monsters, which he could once crush with one hand, now require him to use a "bait" tactic, luring them deep into the jungle to fight their "kin" and divert their attention.

Even so, Shen Ge and the others were still trapped in the bay.

Each expedition to find food and water turned into a thrilling adventure. Several times, the powerful monsters even chased them to the entrance of the bay, only to fall into traps carefully set by Shen Ge, where they were finally killed by the two brothers working together.

Although the situation remains dangerous, Shen Ge tries his best not to intervene as long as the two brothers are not on their last breath.

Only in this way can the two brothers grow up quickly.

The island was doomed, and this ship became Shen Ge and his companions' only hope.

"We have to go." When Shen Ge saw the first strand of red fungal carpet hanging down from the top of the mountain wall like a venomous snake, he knew that they had no time left.

He loaded all the glowing moss, dried meat, and fresh water he had collected onto the ship. The final work was carried out at an almost frantic pace.

Allai used the last of the "sticky worms'" slime to reinforce every corner of the cabin; Kyle and Roca, on the other hand, tied all the carapaces with bone spurs they had hunted to the sides of the ship, turning it into an "iron hedgehog" that no one could bite through.

Just as they were attaching the last cable to the hull, the earth roared violently.

This "roar" is not an adjective; it describes the entire island as if a high-level monster had awakened, unleashing a deafening roar.

This was no ordinary earthquake, but rather the most violent pulse originating from the heart of the island, from its giant heart!
A crimson mist of light visibly spread from the center of the island outwards into the surrounding sky. Immediately afterwards, a series of chilling roars and howls echoed throughout the island's forests.

"Roar--!"

A bizarre fourth-order creature, several meters tall and resembling a giant mantis, which Shen Ge had never seen before, crossed the mountain ridge and appeared in their field of vision.

Its scythe-like forearms gleamed with a metallic sheen, and its scarlet compound eyes instantly locked onto the few tiny humans and their strange "big ship" in the bay.

Behind it, thousands upon thousands of low-level monsters surged forth like a tide.

The island has awakened, and the monsters have gone berserk!

"Get on the boat! Quickly!" Shen Ge didn't have time to worry about the few remaining items in the camp. He urged everyone to get on the boat quickly and prepare to leave.

Then, he knocked down the supports holding the ship up, causing the obstacles preventing the ship from launching to collapse. Kyle and Roca used spears and throwing axes to kill the small monsters that were the first to rush down the beach, covering Shen Ge.

Amidst eerie and frenzied roars, and the deafening sound of giant mantis-like arms slicing through rocks, the "Ark No. 1," which had taken more than half a year to build, finally entered the icy seawater.

The moment the ship was fully afloat, Shen Ge threw the two brothers onto the deck, and then cut the mooring rope at the last moment, grabbed the rope, and "flew" up.

"Raise the sail! Roca, take the helm!" With Shen Ge's command, the huge, dark red membrane sail billowed in the wind.

This "Ark No. 1," forged from technology, wisdom, raw materials, and bizarre skeletons, departed the island for the first time with a triumphant air.

The giant mantis caught up, and Shen Ge activated the bone spear crossbow on the ship, aimed at its wings, and shot it down.

It's impossible to kill a fourth-tier monster with this thing, but you can break its wings and make it fall into the sea so it can't be chased.

Once they enter the sea, it becomes much harder for the lower-level monsters on the island to catch up.

Shen Ge stood at the bow of the ship and looked back.

The former homeland had been transformed into a purgatory where demons roamed freely, and a giant mantis was thrashing about in the water.

Just a kilometer from the coastline, dark clouds gathered from all directions overhead, thick as lead, churning and pressing, as if the entire sky were about to collapse.

Silver lightning bolts darted wildly through the clouds, and the thunder was deafening, as if the air itself was vibrating, sending chills down one's spine.

The sea also became violent, no longer a normal storm, but a giant whirlpool and towering column of water rising from the depths of the sea without any pattern.

Their boat was like a helpless leaf, tossed up and down wildly between the troughs and crests of the giant waves.

Alai, Ellie, and Moya clung tightly to the pillar inside the cabin, their faces deathly pale.

Kyle and Roca used all their strength to hold onto the giant sail made of wing membranes, preventing it from being torn apart by the apocalyptic gale.

Only Shen Ge, like a statue cast on the deck, stood at the bow, gazing at the island that was being destroyed.

He saw the entire island's landmass crumbling apart, mountains collapsing, the earth cracking, and countless rocks and soil cascading like waterfalls into the boiling ocean.

That's not geological activity, but a "living entity" awakening.

Finally, in the most violent tremor, which shook the entire sea, the highest mountain in the center of the island split completely in two!

There was no lava, and no volcanic ash.

From that split abyss, slowly rising, was a colossal creature whose terror could not be accurately described by any language…

That was the "sarcoma heart," but what we see before us is its complete form.

It was like a living island made up of countless twisted, writhing mountains of flesh and blood. Countless tentacles, thicker than anyone could imagine, stretched out from its body, each branching into more tiny, snake-like tendrils that danced wildly in the air.

On its chaotic, shapeless "body," one enormous eyeball after another, gleaming with a scarlet light, opened. (End of Chapter)
