Chapter 1023 Southwest of the Yin Shang Dynasty: A Wicked Dragon Causes Chaos

The five virtues inherent in nature are: holiness, merit, yin, blessing, and the Way.

Saintly virtue refers to the moral character of a king.

Merit is the result of good deeds and actions.

Those who perform good deeds in secret will receive the protection of the deceased.

Blessings and virtues refer to the blessings one receives in this life.

Morality is the proper manifestation of the Way.

Of the five virtues, merit is the most precious. It can avert disasters and difficulties, break through realms and ascend to immortality, refine treasures and create magic, and even bring rebirth from the dead.
Therefore, it is very difficult to accumulate merit.

It is not simply a matter of educating and educating people or providing relief to a local area to gain merit; at most, it is merely good fortune or unseen virtue.

Merit is a gift from Heaven and Earth, and cannot be obtained without performing great deeds that benefit Heaven and Earth.

However, besides the merits of Heaven, there are also the merits of Humanity. The human race is the most numerous race in all the heavens and myriad worlds. The vast number of humans and countless powerful humans have made the human race the overlord among all the races and beings in all the heavens and myriad worlds.

This status brings immense human merit to the human race. Therefore, whenever the human race prospers in a new era, when a king pacifies the world, or when virtuous ministers and generals save the world and bring peace to the people, human merit will be bestowed.

Although human merit cannot compare to heavenly merit, it is still of paramount importance in all the heavens and myriad realms.

It can be said that as long as the human race maintains its current dominant position, and the countless sentient beings in the myriad realms still regard the human race as the main force, there will be no shortage of human merit, and human merit will still occupy a pivotal position.

Tu Shan Lian is not stupid; she is clever and meticulous, otherwise she would not have been sent to the Nine Provinces by Lady Daji.

From Daji's few words, Tushan Lian discerned Binmiao's plan: Binmiao wanted to exorcise the demon and become human, in order to break free from the control of that lord.

It can be said that Tu Shan Lian guessed Bin Miao's shocking plan, which is why she contacted Lady Daji, hoping that Lady Daji would try to stop it: because in the end, only Bin Miao would benefit from this plan, how much benefit could Tu Shan Lian, an accomplice, get, and how much benefit would it bring to the Tu Shan Fox Clan?

On the contrary, this plan would inevitably offend that Supreme Lord, as well as the Eastern Heaven Daoist School and the Nine Provinces Alliance, who are currently engaged in a fierce battle within the Nine Provinces Realm, and even the Heavenly Emperor of the Three Realms Great Thousand Miles.

A plan that offends everyone—how could it possibly succeed?!
However, to Tu Shanlian's surprise, Daji not only did not intend to stop her, but even asked her to help. This was something Tu Shanlian couldn't understand. Didn't Daji know how many people this plan would offend?
From Yanzhou to Yangzhou, the vast Yangyan Sea along the way can stop the True Lords of the Eastern Heaven Daoist School who are fighting in Yanzhou.
Just as Tu Shanlian was feeling worried, Binmiao walked over leisurely, dusted off his clothes, and then smiled and said, "What, finished tattling?"

Tu Shanlian suddenly turned to look at Binmiao. Looking at Binmiao's ambiguous smile, Tu Shanlian suddenly realized: "You deliberately told me your plan so that I would contact Lady Daji!"

Binmiao clapped her hands lightly: "Not bad, not bad, you're quite clever to be able to react."

"If I didn't go through you, how could I possibly contact Lady Daji?"

"But without Lady Daji's help, how could I have accomplished my plan?"

"After all, in all the heavens and myriad realms, apart from the most capricious and lively Lady Daji, there are very few people who dare to help me."

Upon hearing this, Tu Shanlian felt incredibly foolish. She knew perfectly well that the person beside her was a cunning and ruthless demon, that his words were untrustworthy and that he was vicious and cruel, yet she still fell for his trick in her haste.

For a moment, Tu Shan Lian's expression was extremely complicated. Thinking of Bin Miao's plan, which could be described as reckless and suicidal, Tu Shan Lian felt that her future was bleak, and Tu Shan Sheng might also be implicated.

After all, when something happened, the Heavenly Demon simply waved his hand and hid in the depths of chaos and the dark side of the universe, but how could the Tushan Fox Clan, with such a large estate, possibly escape?!

Looking at Tu Shanlian's angry and resentful expression, Binmiao found it incredibly amusing: "If Lingyuan were here and heard what I said, he would definitely strike me with his sword without even a warning."

"If you hear something that can't be resolved or that you shouldn't hear, don't rush to make a decision. Think it over and don't be hasty."

"Let me give you a final piece of advice: if you run into Ling Yuan next time, remember to kneel down and beg for mercy. Don't make a move. As long as you don't, I can still find a way to get you back. But if you do, next year on this day, I'll only be able to offer you a stick of incense."

As she spoke, Binmiao's figure vanished without a trace, leaving only white and black lotus petals fluttering in the wind.

Tu Shanlian bit her lip tightly, watching Binmiao leave. She snorted coldly, then flicked her sleeve, leaving only a wisp of fragrant breeze behind.

Several days later, in the central region of Yangzhou.

The Shang Dynasty was now over ten million miles away. Even if one rode a horse, it would take decades to travel from the capital, Yinqiu, to the border.

At this moment, a group of Shang soldiers were patrolling the border of the Shang Kingdom.

Thanks to the Shang Kingdom's repeated victories and the protection of the gods, the Shang Kingdom is now more united than ever before. The soldiers are in high spirits and are willing to fight and die. After all, in their eyes, they will enter the underworld under the protection of the gods after death and become ghosts and gods who are worshipped with incense.

In fact, over the years, many Shang warriors who died on the battlefield have been enshrined as gods and spirits by King Wu Tang of Shang. Their clay statues and incense tablets have been offered to them, making them local city gods or mountain gods, worshipped by the local people, and they can be said to live and die with the country.

This was also the national policy of the Shang Kingdom, and an important task that Ye Wenshu entrusted to Wu Tang. Ye Wenshu, after all, was the incarnation of the Mysterious Maiden who had long served the Golden Palace Heavenly Emperor, and she deeply realized that if she wanted to control a unified human dynasty and obtain the fortune and merit of humanity, she could not only focus on the human world.

The three realms of Heaven, Earth, and Man: Heaven needs the protection of deities, and the netherworld needs the maintenance of ghosts and gods. This is how one can sweep across the world by upholding the will of Heaven above, respecting ghosts and gods below, and responding to the hearts of the people in the middle.

Therefore, Ye Wenshu followed Jiang Sheng's example in the Mountain and Sea Realm, making the Shang Kingdom begin to revere and worship ghosts and gods.

Driven by this national policy, neither nobles nor ordinary citizens of the Shang Kingdom were afraid to die for their country. Whether it was the Shang King or the people, they would never forget them.

At this time, the Shang soldiers patrolling the border were elite troops who had survived countless battles. The area they were stationed in was the border area between the Shang and other small countries. As long as the king of Yinqiu issued an order, they could quickly transform from patrol soldiers into elite warriors and be the first to break into the territory of other countries. If an enemy army attacked, they could also stop it and notify Yinqiu.

Today, however, the borders of the Shang Kingdom are not facing enemy troops, but rather a bloodbath.

Thunder roared and rain poured down.

The dense raindrops pounded down like pebbles, making people dizzy. Large raindrops fell to the ground and hit the city walls, creating tiny dents.

Accompanied by muffled thunder, dark clouds and torrential rain covered the borders of the Shang Kingdom, and amidst the rain and clouds, an enormous black shadow swam through the clouds.

At the border pass of Shangqiu, the general guarding the city looked at the dark sky and felt uneasy. In particular, the strange beasts and mounts that he had carefully raised in the pass were originally restless, but as the darkness fell, they obediently lay down on the ground and became completely compliant.

Thunder roared across the sky, tearing apart the sea of clouds.

In an instant, a ferocious figure appeared in the dark clouds illuminated by lightning, causing the city's general to hold his breath. Even with his cultivation, the general felt a chill run through his body, and under that deep and terrifying pressure, he could hardly breathe.

One breath, two breaths, three breaths.
As the darkest, most somber sky swept across the pass, the defending general could no longer resist lighting the beacon fires to send a message to the rear. At the same time, he sent a lark to deliver a message to Yinqiu: The evil dragon has appeared!
Meanwhile, atop a major town of the Shang Kingdom, tens of thousands of miles behind the pass, amidst howling winds, lightning, and thunder, a massive and ferocious dragon head, as large as a mountain, emerged from the dark sky, baring its menacing fangs at the town below.

In an instant, foul-smelling saliva dripped down, corroding the city walls and houses. The Shang people in the town stared in terror at the enormous figure that almost covered the entire town. They stared at the ferocious dragon shape, and then were met with a gaping maw.

In less than a quarter of an hour, a major town with a population of one million was devoured, and then the ferocious dragon leisurely moved forward and flew to the next major town.

On that day, a monstrous dragon appeared southwest of Yinqiu, destroyed five cities, and devoured more than four million people.

In the capital city of Yinqiu, King Wu Tang of Shang looked at the intelligence reports brought to him by his subordinates with a gloomy face. A tense atmosphere of impending storm enveloped the entire capital, and the noble generals of Yin Shang in the main hall remained silent and dared not speak.

After a long silence, the almost suffocating atmosphere was broken by Wu Tang: "I have made up my mind. I will personally lead a large army to conquer the evil dragon!"

"A wicked dragon, disrespectful to the gods, defying the king's rule, devouring its subjects, and destroying its city—its crimes are unforgivable!"

"Move six elite divisions to follow me in slaying the dragon!"

With King Tang's decisive decree, the six elite armies of the Shang Dynasty, stationed at Yinqiu and belonging to the Shang king, set out.

The massive army set off from Yinqiu and headed straight for the southwest in search of the evil dragon.

On the chariot, Wu Tang held a sword in one hand and the chariot in the other, his expression solemn, which made the nobles who had accompanied him on the expedition dare not say a word.

If the Shang king personally led the six armies on the expedition and failed, it would be an enormous blow to the Shang state and to the king himself. It might even cause the Shang king's decades-long plan to conquer Yangzhou to fall apart.

Despite such immense pressure, Wu Tang still personally led the expedition, leading everyone to speculate about the kind of power he had obtained.

Meanwhile, on the southwestern border of the Shang Kingdom, Binmiao and Tushan Lian stood on a small hill, gazing at the evil dragon that was devouring the people and livestock of the Shang Kingdom in the distance.

The once mighty Prince Tuolong is now a mindless puppet dragon beast at the mercy of others. Tu Shanlian looked at Prince Tuolong and felt a pang of sympathy, as if she were seeing her future self in his eyes.

But Binmiao smiled nonchalantly: "The King of Shang has personally taken action, so it must be that the divine being behind him is about to make his move."

"I just don't know which divine power the Shang king relied on, and whether he could defeat Tuolong."

Tu Shanlian looked at Binmiao expressionlessly: "Even if you defeat Tuolong, you still have you, don't you? Do you really think you can let that person from the Divine Path win?"

Binmiao laughed, "How could that be?!"

"This Shang Kingdom is managed so well, and it seems to have the potential to conquer the world. How can I let it go so easily?"

"It's nothing more than a move secretly made by those gods; it's nothing."

"Does he really think he can drop a deity at the Integration Stage?"

As she spoke, Binmiao couldn't help but shake her head:
"Unless Penglai Lingyuan himself comes, who can stop me from taking over Yin Shang?" (End of Chapter)
