Maitreya then sat up. Although he was sitting up, he was still half leaning on the stone platform behind him. He smiled and said, "Calamity is neither a cause nor an effect. It is the movement of chaos and the number of heaven and earth."

"In the chaotic world, the fate of all living beings is fixed, but there are still variables. When variables come, disasters will follow."

"To put it simply, if you try to change something God has determined, you will suffer a disaster."

“And those who practice cultivation, no matter whether they are profound or profound, no matter whether they follow the will of heaven or go against it, will all have calamities, so heaven is merciless and impartial.”

"This sky is not the sky above you and me."

As he spoke, Maitreya pointed to the top of his head, and then chuckled: "Everyone who practices cultivation will have tribulations. The tribulations of the middle and lower six realms are nothing more than heavenly tribulations and human tribulations."

"In the upper three realms, in addition to the heavenly and human calamities, there is also the calamity of cause and effect."

"Speaking of which, what are the calamities of refining the void and combining the bodies?"

Huang Mei heard this and replied: "There are three disasters in refining the void, namely wind, thunder and fire; there are five difficulties in combining the body, namely the five elements."

Maitreya nodded: "Yes, the three disasters of refining the void and the five difficulties of fusion have been talked about and explained to death."

"But what are the three disasters and the five difficulties? Do you really understand?"

Huang Mei was stunned for a moment, then bowed again and said, "Master, please enlighten me!"

Maitreya chuckled: "The three disasters and five tribulations are not only about human tribulations and heavenly tribulations, but also about the number of cause and effect."

"Each level brings a new calamity, each level brings a new cause and effect."

"Only after crossing the eight levels of cause and effect and breaking the nine levels of calamity can one glimpse the Pure Yang and hope for the fruit of the Bodhisattva's Way."

"The cause and effect here is not a natural disaster or a man-made disaster. It is the result of your destiny and the result of your practice."

“For those in the upper three realms, whether it is the Refining Void or the Fusion Realm, every time they pass through a catastrophe, they must pass through a cause and effect test. If they cannot pass through cause and effect, it will be difficult to pass through the catastrophe. Only by passing through cause and effect can they transcend.”

As he spoke, Maitreya said solemnly: "Others say that refining the void can overcome the three disasters, and merging the body can overcome the five difficulties. After overcoming the three disasters and five difficulties, one can achieve the Three Flowers Gathering at the Top of the Head and the Five Qi Returning to the Origin."

“I say that refining the void and combining the body are both evidence of cause and effect. If you break free from cause and effect, you can achieve transcendence, and that is pure yang.”

"What is cause and effect?"

As Maitreya Bodhisattva opened his mouth, Huang Mei felt as if a huge bell was vibrating in his sea of ​​consciousness, causing his mind to shake. In a trance, the unkempt, smelly old beggar in front of him turned into Maitreya Bodhisattva with a solemn and smiling face, a cloud of auspicious clouds above his head, three layers of light rotating behind his head.

Huang Mei knelt down and said, "Please teach me, Master."

The mouth of Maitreya Bodhisattva shines with golden lotus, and every word he speaks is the sound of Buddhism and Zen.

“The so-called cause and effect, cause and effect, is not in others, but in oneself.”

"The cause and effect of the world is due to one's own body and it is difficult to reverse the number of time. Fate is reincarnation and cause and effect are difficult to eliminate."

"In the middle and lower six realms, if one wants to overcome the calamity and break through the realm, what method is there?"

"It is said, fight, break, and kill!"

"Strive for opportunities, break the cage, and kill the dead."

"For those in the upper three realms, the calamity of cause and effect must be overcome by force, and to overcome cause and effect by force, there is nothing more than one word: kill!"

As the word "kill" came out of his mouth, Huang Mei felt his mind shaken and he became dazed.

Maitreya Bodhisattva said loudly: "The so-called calamity of cause and effect is the destiny of heaven, which determines the way of fighting." "Whether it is the chaotic universe or the various heavens and earths, the higher the cultivation, the rarer it is. In a large world, there are countless people in the middle and lower six realms, which are difficult to count in billions, but the upper three realms add up to no more than a few hundred thousand."

"This is the cause and effect calamity of chaos. If we are both in the realm of refining emptiness, we must also cut off the cause and effect of our fate if we want to advance to the next level and survive the natural disaster. One person falls, and one person rises."

"It is the same for refining the Void and combining the two."

"In all the heavens and myriad worlds, all the calamities of ten thousand years and the calamities of the Yuanhui are all about fighting for the Tao and fighting for life."

"When you go down, he goes up. When he goes down, you go up. The truth in the world is as simple as this."

"Why did the Eastern Xuanmen calamity arise?"

Huang Mei said in a trembling voice: "Strive for the orthodoxy, for the orthodoxy, for the fruit of the Tao."

Maitreya Bodhisattva nodded: "Yes, fight for the fruit of the Tao."

"In this world, Xuanmen is flourishing. Anyone with a discerning eye can see clearly that the prosperity of Xuanmen will definitely give birth to extraordinary people."

“And the rise of extraordinary people is often accompanied by the fall of many people. Only when many powerful people fall, there will be enough resources and space for the extraordinary people to grow.”

"What the Xuanmen fight for is the fate of that extraordinary person, and what they fight for is the unique fruit of the Tao."

“But in this calamity, not everyone is fighting for the unique Dao fruit. Most are fighting for their own Dao, trying to break free from the entanglement of their own destiny and sever the cause and effect.”

"Penglai Lingyuan was previously unknown. Who in the heavens and myriad worlds knew of its existence? In the past, it was Qiyuan of the Qiankun Dao Sect who became famous in the heavens and was respected by all."

"But after going through the battle of Tianyuan Realm and the decisive battle of Jurong Realm, Qiyuan died but Lingyuan survived. Then he made rapid progress all the way, rampaging in Buzhou Realm, and now he has glimpsed the realm of fusion."

"In just over a thousand years, from the beginning of the Refining Void Realm to the Ultimate Refining Void Realm, it was because Ling Yuan cut off the fate of cause and effect that he was able to break free from the cage."

"And Huang Mei'er, who is responsible for the cause and effect entanglement of your destiny?"

Huang Mei's heart suddenly calmed down. He put his hands together with a calm expression and said, "Master, among all the great realms of my Buddhist sect, the only one who can be as famous as my disciple is Bu Chan from the Great Power Temple in the Mi Yan Realm."

Maitreya smiled; "Huang Mei'er, you are the pride of my Liuli Dao, and Bu Chen is the pride of the Vajra Dao. You two are of the same generation and are equally famous. This means that only one of you can survive."

"As the saying goes, two pairs of lovebirds, they fight for luck and eat each other. In this generation, only one true fruition can be born from the Glazed Path and the Diamond Path."

Huang Mei bowed again and said, "Disciple thanks Master for releasing me."

Maitreya smiled and said, "What did the master teach you? The master just told you that for everything, it is better to fight for it than to ask for it."

Huang Mei frowned slightly, feeling something was strange.

Maitreya raised his hand and conjured up a magic weapon: "This is an ownerless treasure. You and I discovered it at the same time. I said, this treasure is destined to be with me. What do you think?"

Huang Mei lowered his head: "How dare a disciple fight with Master?"

Maitreya pointed again and sent the magic weapon into Huang Mei's arms: "You got a treasure. I saw it and said that this treasure is destined to be with me. What do you think of it?"

Huang Mei was stunned.

Maitreya said, "How did the saying that this thing has a connection with my Buddhist sect come about?"

"Why fate?"

"If you have a high level of Taoism and strong magical powers, then it is fate. If I am stronger than you, then this thing is destined for me. If you are stronger than me, then this thing is destined for you."

“Although this statement is not Buddhist doctrine, it is the ultimate truth, and it is also the true meaning of my Buddhism.”

"In the Three Worlds, the Golden Buddha of the Great Lingyin Temple in the Western Heaven said that my Buddha World and the Western Heaven are predestined, and invited me to enter the Western Heaven, sit on the position of the future Buddha, and live in the Buddha Pure Land in the Western Heaven."

"Huang Mei'er, I have seen my destiny, but where is your destiny?"

As Maitreya Bodhisattva finished speaking, the old beggar transformed by Maitreya Bodhisattva also disappeared without a trace.

Huang Mei sat cross-legged quietly in the dilapidated temple. After a long while, he stood up and said:
