The voice seemed to come from a faraway place, yet it also seemed to ring directly in her mind.

Gu Yexing began to pace back and forth in the room, combing his messy hair with his fingers.

“This has to be some kind of prank, right?” he said to himself. “Maybe some high-tech gadget? Or... maybe a magic trick?”

Qin Xuelian did not answer. Her thoughts drifted far away, recalling every little bit of her time with Lin Yuan.

Those warm and beautiful memories now seemed like sharp knives, piercing her heart deeply.

"Lin Yuan." She called out that name silently in her heart, and her tears finally flowed uncontrollably.

Gu Yexing noticed Qin Xuelian's abnormality. He stopped and looked at her vigilantly.

"What are you thinking about?" he demanded. "Do you know something?"
