Chapter 272 79, The Silent King

Chapter 272 79, The Silent King
The Grand Inquisitor of the Triumvirate invited Horus to go to the Silent King's location, and the journey did not take long.

Soon Horus saw a huge pyramid-shaped creation.

It was a temple built with an obelisk, the highest point of which was over forty meters high.

A monument bearing the great achievements of the Necrons stood before him. After seeing this extravagant monument, Horus became even more contemptuous of this alien race.

They think they are ancient and noble, but they are essentially no different from humans. They are vain, arrogant and conceited.

The temple is located in the void of a desolate stone mountain. The dimension here is adjusted, and if the corresponding frequency is not found, its existence cannot be detected at all.

The surface of the obelisk was made of black and shiny metal. Horus learned from Lorca that this black metal was a special material synthesized from black stone.

These special materials have the ability to suppress the warp, and this technology is also widely used in the Imperial Stars today.

The edges of the temple are decorated with glittering golden runes and various strange emblems.

The Silent King, the leader of the Necrons, sits in the deepest part of the temple. A long staircase extends from the bottom to the top, and at the top is his throne.

Countless Necron warriors stood on the steps, holding spears and guarding the throne temple.

The Grand Inquisitor walked in front of Horus, the spear in his hand replaced with a ceremonial sword.

A magnificent crown rested on his head, and a sleek cape of connected metal draped over his shoulders.

He walked in front, leading Horus and Lorga.

The Grand Justice strode with his head held high, leading the two men past in front of many of his fellow tribesmen.

It was as if the two primarchs were not his invited guests, but his slaves.

Such an arrogant attitude made Horus furious. He was the sixteenth son of the Emperor, the Wolf God and Warmaster who had been praised and admired by countless humans.

He had been deceived and betrayed, but no one had ever dared to look down on him like this.

But for the sake of greater plans, Horus endured it in his heart, silently vowing to make these despicable aliens pay the price.

You don't have to wait too long for this time.

Whether it is him or Duke, no matter which one of them wins the final victory, they will spare no effort to drive out these undead souls that should have been buried long ago.

Thinking of this, a smile appeared on Horus' face.

His smile was just right, so that no one could see through his heart, but also so that he could show his joy at the upcoming meeting with the Silent King.

Horus and Lorgar were led all the way up to the platform where the Silent King sat, passing by densely packed Necron warriors standing upright.

Luo Jia looked at these metal creations, with a hint of hidden contempt in his eyes. He also sneered at this seemingly powerful army.

They were nothing more than a group of bodies carrying memories. Compared with the truth he pursued, these seemingly miraculous creations were really not worth mentioning.

He read more information about the Necrontyr from the secret collection of books, and knew that the group of undead before him were nothing more than the immortal corpses left behind by a race that had once fought against the Old Saints.

Horus and others stepped onto the steps of the temple.

Glittering alien statues stood at the base of the building. Their appearances were different, but the only thing they had in common was that all the gods had their heads bowed, as if they were praying to the throne together.

These statues indirectly confirm the supreme authority of the King of Silence.

Statues of heroes and gods all bow their proud heads before his throne.

Dozens of bronze-masked Undeads serve as the Silent King's personal guards.

"Kneel, human." The Grand Justice walked to the throne of the Silent King, turned his head and said to Horus and the others, "In the noble Thrazak, salute the last and greatest of the Silent Kings."

Hear this.

The two Primarchs were stunned at first.

The next second, a dark blue disintegration force field flashed on the surface of Horus's hammer.

Even Luo Jia's body was burning with red flames.

"Alien, don't challenge my patience again. No one can make me surrender."

Horus' voice was filled with undisguised anger, like a volcano that was suppressed to the limit and could erupt with astonishing destructive power at any time.

He would never salute the alien king, no matter what power the other party held. If he bowed down at this moment, how could he have the face to complete the great cause of saving mankind and face his brothers.

As the Primarch spoke, the Necrons around him raised their weapons in unison.

The muzzles of their guns were accumulating energy, and with just a command, they would immediately kill the guy who disrespected the King of Silence.

But for some reason, the Necrons present never took any action.

The Chief Justice stared at them with cold eyes. No one could imagine how many additional parameters had appeared in his database in just this short moment.

Yes, the Necrons are not as reckless and stupid as they appear.

Each of their seemingly extraordinary actions was backed by a strong purpose and was an interpretation of the two Primarchs.

Finally, the Grand Justice made no statement, but turned to face the throne, his iron body gradually lowered, and knelt on one knee.

Next came the bronze-masked throne guards and the Necron warriors who guarded the stairs.

They all bowed down to the throne in unison and submitted themselves before it.

The body possessed by the Silent King is the closest to the metal body they had in life.

The streamlined structure made him look like a living necrophile.

Horus stared at the Necrons leader closely, with no fear in his eyes.
He was not afraid of the other party's majesty at all and told him his purpose directly.

"I came here to seek allies to fight against my cruel and cruel brother, but unfortunately, I came here from afar, but I didn't see my allies, only a group of withered bones in the grave."

"Don't try to anger me." The Silent King did not speak, but the Herald spoke for him. "What I have experienced is far beyond your imagination, but please believe that we have the same goal. The power of the Second Son has completely gone out of control. The Lord of Humanity has sealed him off for ten thousand years, which not only did not make him regain his rationality, but made him completely crazy. Under the influence of this ambitious man, the entire universe has been placed in an extremely dangerous position by him."

"As long as he continues to move forward, the fragile balance will be broken and countless races will no longer have a place to rest. His actions must be stopped." The herald continued, "I am not completely ignorant of humans. I once had a brief alliance with another brother of yours and helped him stop your rebellion in time. You can trust us. As you can see, there is nothing in this universe worth our attachment. Now we are signing an alliance with you only for the survival of the galaxy."

Horus did not believe him.

These filthy aliens harbor malice towards all life, and it is no exaggeration to speculate on their intentions.

In the eyes of Horus, their existence is as abominable as that of the Dark Gods.

The Necrons long for the day when they can regain control of the galaxy.

Horus knew this very well. They had already lost their souls and would not be willing to lose their old karma again.

But for now, he needed the power of the Necrons.

He wouldn't mind even using the power of the Dark Gods again.

This time, he will take every precaution, just like the Emperor. The birth of the Primarch itself is irrefutable evidence that the Lord of Mankind uses Chaos.

Since his father can do such a thing, there is nothing wrong with the son following his father.

Whether it is the Necrons or the Dark Gods, these self-sustaining ancient beings will become his sword and shield against Dukel.

However, when he heard the words of the Necrons, a trace of curiosity was aroused in his heart.
"Which of my brothers have you helped?"

The herald replied, "Sanguinius of the Blood Angels was able to return to Terra so quickly ten thousand years ago because of our help. Now we will help you in the same way and help you win this dispute with Dukel."

Horus was slightly stunned when he heard that Sanguinius had cooperated with the Necrons.

No wonder Sanguinius, who was trapped in the Warp Storm at the time, was able to return to Terra so quickly and cause great damage to his plans.

Horus looked at the Herald who had been speaking on behalf of the Silent King.

"Why does your king always remain silent and requires you to speak every word for him?" he asked.

"I am his mouthpiece." The herald continued, "His thoughts echo in my matrix. Every word I say is his will. We will sign a covenant with you and abide by our agreement until we achieve our respective goals. A new enemy has appeared. Both you and us must make the most rational choice."

"If the Second Son is not stopped, the harm he will cause to the universe will far exceed anything that has ever happened before. Since the beginning of the universe, no general has ever started a war with the sole purpose of destroying the universe. Until the Second Son revived from the mist, his goal was only pure destruction."

Horus was silent.

He didn't expect that when no one in the empire believed his words, this group of alien races that he hated had exactly the same idea as him.

Became the one who could understand him best.

This feeling gave Horus mixed feelings.

Then he asked one last question.
"You don't need this universe, so why are you fighting?"

"But the stars need its savior. Believe it or not, Horus, we care about this more than you do. There are great interests at stake, and perhaps one day these minor differences can be bridged."

Horus nodded and without further words, he successfully formed an alliance with the Necrons.

The Necrons will provide him with some assistance so that he can quickly organize an army sufficient to conquer the Eye of Terror and confront Dukor head-on.

They will then launch a war against the Human Empire with the Eye of Terror as its core.

After the covenant was established, Horus and Lorgar left.

The Silent King watched them walk into the portal, and then the space closed and they disappeared completely.

There was a gleam in his eyes, and no guard dared to disturb the Silent King's thoughts at this moment.

Until a discordant, sharp voice sounded.

"No offense, I just wonder if we were a little too eager this time. We have the bargaining chips in our hands, so why should we take the initiative to ask for help? We can just offer help in the form of a transaction, which will make the other party even more dependent on us."

A Necron with a scepter in hand stepped onto the stairs to the throne. His voice was sharp and high-pitched, with a hint of cunning, which was rare among Necrons.

"That's enough, Trazyn," the Grand Justice snapped.

The undead who stepped onto the stairs to the throne was none other than the Infinite One Trazyn, whose Avatar Museum had been robbed by Dukel and with whom he had a brief battle.

"You don't understand how critical this moment is. The flow and movement of every molecule is a gap that cannot be delayed. Put away your thoughts. We know that you are very interested in Horus' research, but now is not the time for you to act recklessly."

"We will never allow you to destroy the future of the entire race with your own hands just for those collections."

"The future?" Trazyn smiled. "What future do we have?"

"Is it time to speak, first and greatest of the Silent Kings?" he demanded from the throne.

"This is where our hope lies." The herald spoke on behalf of the Silent King.
"In the war that broke out between us and the Warp, there is no doubt that we are not the winners. Although we seem to have won the final victory, we have lost the most important thing. The demise of the Ancients is still unknown, and the Warp is the key to their destruction. Now that the Human Empire rules the galaxy, they have begun to march into the Warp and are trying to completely destroy that spiritually constructed world. This is our chance. We must find a way to blend in and recover our part in that ocean."

"The alliance is only temporary. We will fight this war at all costs, so there is no need to negotiate terms. In the face of a common enemy, we all need to unite to achieve our respective goals."

"Do you think I am really allying with Horus? Our real alliance is not with the descendant of the old man who practices witchcraft. He is not qualified. The ancient being behind him who is also making plans in the warp is our real target."

The Silent King stood up from his throne.

He is taller and larger than other Necrons.

He stared at Trazyn, and the strong sense of oppression made the latter lower his head.

The herald continued to convey the king's will, "The storm is coming. You need to wake up your emperor and the ruler of the dynasty. We need to mobilize. This is a once-in-a-million-year opportunity."

"Let us retake what is ours, and upon their ruins and wreckage, restore Necrontyr rule once more. This time, the stars will truly be ours, without exception."

Even though Trazyn the Infinite was the overlord of the Sotek Dynasty, he was still shocked by the Silent King.

He raised his hand, the old manner of the Necromancer,

"All will be as you wish, Greatest and Last King of Silence."
