Mystery: Lucky One

Evelyn was in the basement of St. Samuel's Church when she heard Alice's voice:
"Have you ever seen a book in Sylvia?

"Or heard of a name called Cassandra?"

The image that came along with these words was a book with an ocean blue cover, with silver runes faintly visible on it.

Have you seen...?

Evelyn tried to recall the image of Sylvia in her memory.

Gentle, kind, patient...

She had no recollection of such a book existing.

However, she remembered...

It happened to be the day she met the terrible monster. That was actually the first time she and Sylvia met. Sylvia, dressed in a black robe, passed by her but stopped suddenly.

"Oh, what do I see? A young bird," Sylvia said to her. "It's pitiful that a weak little tree can't take away the sunshine from a tall tree, but it threatens the young birds living in its crown."

Few people would remain indifferent to such words. Even if they do not trust them, they would stop and take a look at what the person who said that looks like.

Evelyn, who was already interested in mysticism, was no exception. She turned around and searched for the source of the sound with curiosity and confusion.

Sylvia stopped, turned around and smiled at her, and drew a circular pattern on her chest with her fingers, and said in a gentle tone:

"May Cassandra bless you."

Not sure which part Alice needed, but having realized the ambiguous relationship between Alice and the Church of Evernight, she did not leave the underground. She just found an excuse to go to the bathroom to be alone, and then passed on the image in her memory.

This strange thought made her pause for a moment. Alice thought of the two fake eyes on Klein's face and thought that at least the current "Faceless Man" should not be able to do such a thing.

As for the latter part…it’s probably similar to whether Amon can steal the gastric mucosa.

——It should be possible to do it, but without the relevant knowledge it might turn out to be a weird shape.

For example, some people may not understand the human body structure, and install an eye on the back of the head, and a mouth in the palm of the hand...

Alice imagined the scene, finished the ice cream in her mouth in a few bites, and then walked back home with a blank expression.

Her appetite disappeared.

After eating, Alice finally started to do her work. She published her first relatively normal "oracle" and then went straight into do not disturb mode to sleep...

When I saw the message, it was already the next day.

Evelyn sent that memory along with the time. After Alice finished reading the memory, she murmured to herself:
“It seems like watching the video…why doesn’t she add subtitles and text descriptions to the video?”

This question obviously had no answer, so Alice could only assume that the figure in the black robe with highlights was Sylvia.

It is worth mentioning that Sylvia's voice was not as hoarse and unpleasant as the mysterious man's that day - of course, the mysterious man's voice was obviously a disguise. Alice shook her head and didn't think about this aspect of the problem, focusing on Sylvia's words.

Combined with the actual situation, Alice could easily interpret Sylvia's inexplicable words, coupled with her last sentence "May Cassandra bless you", Alice had almost sentenced Sylvia to death in her heart.

The outline of the whole thing is basically clear, and the core point is the mysterious book calling itself "Cassandra".

Whether it was Selwyn or the unfortunate man who prayed that day, they were obviously victims. Only Sylvia made Alice unsure of the specific situation.

——Is she a perpetrator who is in cahoots with the corrupt, or a puppet being manipulated?

Alice looked at the breakfast and thought for a long time, and finally remembered something in a trance:

"Do I still have to go to class?"

This is a very serious question. Alice temporarily put aside her investigation into the Cassandra series of events and decided to return to the "Golden Dream" first.

She was late indeed.

Alice pretended to have slept and walked over silently. Edwina did not blame her too much. She just called her away after the class and asked her:

"You came to me... to find information about the main ingredients of your potion, right?"

This was basically true. Alice couldn't refute it. She lowered her head and said:

Edwina only took one look at Alice and made a reasonable guess - this was probably because the adults at home could no longer teach her.

However, there is one thing that Edwina has been curious about for a long time:
"It should have been quite some time since you swallowed that Level 0 Sealed Artifact. Even if it hasn't, I think you probably... aren't a very quiet child either?"

Alice nodded hesitantly.

"Why have I never heard of your... um, deeds?" Edwina asked with a little curiosity.

Alice swallowed.

"Alice?" Edwina called her in confusion.

Alice swallowed hard and said with a firm look in her eyes:

"I didn't do any of this. I am innocent!"

"?" Edwina looked at Alice and fell into deep thought.

Fortunately, Alice still had a little bit of rationality. She didn't say nonsense like "It was all Amon's fault", but quickly changed the subject:
"Anyway, I think I might have to go look for potion ingredients next... and make some money."

Edwina seemed to be mentally prepared for this. She easily agreed to it and reminded her:

"Don't forget your reward... Well, if you really don't know how to bypass the 'Hidden Sage', there is actually something else that I am also interested in."

"What?" Alice asked in confusion.

Edwina looked at her meaningfully and said:
