Hogwarts starts with stealing power.

Chapter 631 Trelawney's Prophecy: The Evil God is in Danger!

Under the professor's guidance, some young wizards have already lined up to get tested.

The young wizards who remained in the Great Hall were gripped by panic.

They were eager to buy things to arm themselves, even if those things might not be of any use.

But as long as it gives them some comfort, the young wizards feel it's all worthwhile.

In moments of tension and panic, everyone wants to grasp onto something to help them become calmer and more rational.

George and Fred only shouted a few words of advertising before they were surrounded by a large group of young wizards.

Draco also joined them.

He communicated with George using telepathy.

George's eyes flickered slightly as he glanced up at the crowd and quickly spotted Draco.

Although he was surrounded by younger wizards, Draco's body was well-developed. In terms of appearance, he was no different from the older wizards, and he was a head taller than the other younger wizards.

George gave Draco a look and quickly slipped away from the crowd.

Before long, they arrived at a secluded corner of the auditorium.

Fearing that he would be recognized by other young wizards, George also set up several confusion spells around him.

Draco then cast several spells to prevent eavesdropping.

George asked obsequiously, "Young Master Malfoy, what do you want to know? We'll tell you everything we can find out."

Draco rolled his eyes. "George, be normal."

Whenever you make that face, I know you're about to take advantage of me.

George composed himself slightly and asked in a normal tone, "What exactly do you want to know?"

A thoughtful look flashed across Draco's eyes.

"You're suddenly selling exorcism items to young wizards, did you hear something?"

George instinctively looked around.

Under the cover of the spell, not a single young wizard looked over.

He thought for a moment, then held up a 10.

Draco immediately said, "Ten Galleons?"

George chuckled: "If you're only willing to pay 10, you won't get the most comprehensive information from me."

Draco's eyelids twitched slightly: "100 Galleons?"

He said ambiguously, "Are you sure your information is worth this price? If I don't think it is, you'll have to give the money back."

George sheepishly withdrew his hand: "I was just leaving you some room to negotiate, wasn't I?"

His eyes darted around, and he said with a smile, "80 Galleons."

Draco replied without hesitation, "20 Galleons. If you don't want to sell, fine. As an outstanding student, I'll get the real information from the professor in a few days."

George immediately said, "Deal!"

Draco was a regular customer of the Weasley twins, so there was no concern that he wouldn't pay after buying the information.

So after the verbal agreement was made, George quickly revealed what he knew before George could even produce Galleons.

"Just in the early hours of the morning, Hogwarts suddenly detected the presence of an evil god, alarming all the professors and the 'spirits' in the school. Even Headmaster Dumbledore came to the school late at night to investigate."

But they couldn't find anything. The aura of the evil god seemed to appear abruptly in the castle and then vanish just as quickly; the castle was merely one of its stops.

Draco's expression changed slightly. "You mean an evil god has appeared in the school?"

George quickly shook his head: "I didn't say that. The appearance of an evil god and the remnants of an evil god's aura are two different things."

Even without an evil god, many objects inherently possess an aura of evil, including advanced infected individuals and advanced contaminants, all of which more or less possess the power of an evil god.

Draco thought of the rumors he'd heard that morning. "So anything at Hogwarts related to 'spirits,' including paintings and ghosts, knows about this?"

George nodded: "Yes, if you look closely at the picture frames, you'll find that every frame is exhausted. The school professors spent the whole night checking them, and the picture frames spent the whole night checking them, but they found nothing."

Upon hearing this, Draco gave the twins a strange look.

He couldn't help but ask, "How do you know all this information, and how do you know it so clearly?"

If what George says is true, then the nature of this matter could be either major or minor.

If it were to lean towards the realm of evil gods, it would be enough to put the entire Hogwarts under martial law.

However, if it is just a high-level pollutant, that is, a high-level strange object, there is no need to be so worried.

The question now is what the professor will classify this matter as.

However, this information was only available to Hogwarts' internal staff.

Where did George and Fred get this information? Did they bribe some professor?
With that thought in mind, Draco completely abandoned the idea.

Impossible. Hogwarts professors are not so easily bribed.

George smiled slightly, a smile that held a hint of mystery.

"We naturally have our own information channels to ensure the authenticity of this message."

Draco shrugged and didn't pursue the matter further.

Everyone has secrets, including Hogwarts.

So many secrets have been buried in time, and many people have not been able to uncover them.

Even the great Dumbledore mentioned to them that he only knew 30% of the castle's secrets and had not yet figured out 70%.

Draco: "I'll bring you the Galleons tonight."

George was about to nod when he suddenly remembered something, and his expression changed, revealing a look of pain.

"Fine, I'll give you this message for free. Consider it our contribution to the lab."

Draco paused, "Are you sure?"

George, with a look of "heroic sacrifice," said, "I'm sure."

This time it was Draco's turn to quickly say, "Deal!"
-
Draco returns to Lin Xia's side, bringing them firsthand information from the twins.

Hermione, Ron, and Harry were also beside them, their faces filled with worry.

The semester has just started, and it looks like the school is about to go into lockdown again. What a bad start!

After Draco finished speaking, he added, "The twins don't seem to be lying, and the fact that they prepared so many exorcism trinkets in advance suggests that this was premeditated."

Lin Xia's eyes flickered slightly, and she said, "They have other sources of information, we don't need to worry about them."

She looked up at the somewhat flustered young wizard in the auditorium, "At this point, it's just testing; the school hasn't taken any further action. It could just be a sudden incident."

"We'll first maintain order, calm the young wizard, and handle the logistical work."

Hearing her say that, everyone else joined in maintaining order.

Harry noticed that Lin Xia's expression didn't seem serious, and subconsciously felt that it wasn't a big deal.

While maintaining order, he made a point of joking with the young wizards: "This is just a routine test, don't worry too much."

The young wizard felt a slight relaxation when he saw him smile.

The school has conducted testing on all students more than once.

We've done this several times before, so everyone has experience with it.

After arranging the vacant houses equipped with detection arrays, the young wizards entered in an orderly fashion and then left. The detection was very efficient, with a group of people leaving every few tens of seconds.

Before they knew it, very few people remained in the auditorium, with only Lin Xia and others who had been maintaining order staying at the back.

Lin Xia walked into the private testing room, letting the light emitted from the magic rune array shine on her.

A dozen seconds later, she heard Professor McGonagall's slightly hoarse voice: "You can come out now."

Lin Xia opened her eyes and walked out with her companion.

She approached her family's director and inquired about the catalog.

The dean shook his head at her and said in a low voice, "The school cannot release the news yet. I'll tell you later."

Upon hearing this, the others exchanged bewildered glances.

So, where did the news about the Weasley twins actually come from?

Lin Xia had a guess in her mind, perhaps it was related to her suggestion last semester that the Weasley twins hire Trelawney as a private tutor.
-
While Lin Xia and the others were being tested, the twins had already completed their tests and left the auditorium.

Instead of going to the classroom, they slipped away to Trelawney's office.

Trelawney received a sum of money after giving a fortune reading to the twins last night and then drank some alcohol while tipsy.

I've just woken up and my head still feels a little foggy.

Trelawney's status is special, and he does not participate in the management of Hogwarts' daily affairs.

Simply put, he can intervene or not, has little say, and other professors don't take Trelawrie seriously.

Her only responsibility was to make prophecies at crucial moments. Attending classes at Hogwarts was merely a position assigned to her by Dumbledore to ensure her daily needs were met.

But she was, after all, a professor hired by Hogwarts, so yesterday the Hogwarts consciousness also echoed in her mind.

But instead of participating in the patrol, she performed a divination.

Early this morning, the twins sensed that something was wrong with the fat lady, so they went to Trelawney's dormitory to ask her about it.

Trelawney initially declared righteously, "I don't know!"

But under the twins' financial pressure, she changed her tune and offered to give them a divination, then recounted the events of the previous day in a similar manner.

Trelawney thought to herself, "She didn't leak the information intentionally."

She was simply asked by her students to perform a divination, and she just shared the results.

The twins originally just wanted to make money, but when they saw that the school had conducted tests on all students, they realized something was wrong, so they came to find the professor again.

Upon seeing them, Trelawney blurted out without thinking, "I know nothing."

George: "Professor, I know you don't know, we just came here to have a divination done by you."

Fred: "For this, we are willing to pay 10 Galleons."

Trelawney's eyes flickered, but he still shook his head and said, "No, my abilities are limited. I already performed a divination for you this morning."

George: "20 Galleons. If the professor doesn't want that, then forget it."

Fred and George made a move to leave.

Trelawney suddenly said, "I just checked my body and I still have the energy to do a completely new divination. What would you like to ask?"

George and Fred exchanged a glance and said in unison, "We want to know if the school is going to face a major disaster this semester?"

Trelawney began by saying, “Are you worried that Hogwarts won’t be able to withstand it? There’s no need to worry so much. I’ve lived here for decades, and the school has faced several major crises, but we’ve always pulled through.”

George: "Professor, we'd like to know more details."

Fred: "Or are you unwilling to make prophecies?"

George and Fred made another move to leave.

Trelawney said quickly, "Wait, come back, I didn't say I wouldn't prophesy!"

Her mind was already filled with 20 Galleons, and she was thinking about what she would do with the money.

Hmm... she could buy some new clothes and replace her old prophetic equipment.

If she had the money to replace it, why would she want to use such old equipment?

The claim that old equipment would be more helpful for prophecy is just a way to fool young wizards.

She glanced around the office.

Her office curtains were always drawn, the light shone through a dark red or dark purple scarf, and the room was filled with the strong aroma of spices boiling in a copper teapot.

The shelves were piled high with dirty quills, candle stubs, playing cards, and crystal balls.

There were also printed fabric armchairs and small cushions scattered around the table.

Her office was styled exactly like the Prophecy Classroom, exuding Trelawney's personal sphere.

Thinking that she would soon have 20 Galleons in her pocket, Trelawney decided to use her most treasured crystal ball.

She was leaning lazily against the back of her chair, making various gestures with her hands in front of the crystal ball.

For a moment, she suddenly straightened up, the multiple bracelets and rings on her wrists clattering together with a jarring sound, and her eyes behind her glasses suddenly widened.

Her lips moved unconsciously, her gaze fixed blankly on the crystal ball, as if focused on an unseen scene.

George and Fred exchanged a glance. This prophetic scene was somewhat different from the prophecies the professor usually showed them.

It's not that the crystal ball has changed, but rather that Professor Trelawney's entire demeanor is quite different.

Her facial muscles weren't tense, but her voice was muffled, sometimes low and sometimes high, as she stared intently at the crystal ball in front of her, as if she were seeing some kind of vision.

"It was just a false alarm. The newly born evil god did not want to bring disaster to the school. I saw it. I saw Him screaming in pain... He thought this passage would bring Him new life, but it brought Him tribulation instead."

So that's how it is! This disaster isn't a calamity befalling the school, but rather an evil god! The evil god is in danger! In danger!

Professor Trelawney's voice grew increasingly hoarse, and after reciting all the prophecies, she trembled violently, her eyes rolled back, and she fainted.

The Weasley twins: ...

They all approached the professor somewhat nervously, placing their hands below her nose.

George breathed a heavy sigh of relief: "He's still breathing, he just fainted."

Fred, still shaken, said, "I rarely see a professor make such a prediction."

George: "I don't know why, but I feel like these predictions are somewhat true."

Fred: "What do we do next?"

George looked at him: "Did you write down the professor's prediction?"

Fred: "I recorded it... Wait, the recording is broken?!"

George pointed to his head: "I can still remember some. Let's quickly open the recording magic pen and re-record it."

The two pieced together most of the prophecy by piecing it together from various sources.

George murmured, "If the professor's prediction is correct, then Hogwarts will be fine. We need to find a way to sell this prediction for a good price."

Fred: "Then we'll have to find Lin Xia; she has plenty of rare materials on her."

At this stage, Galleons are no longer of much use to them, since they already have enough money to spend.

Their purpose in joining Lin Xia's lab was to work on the materials.

Having only handed over a portion of the "homework-doing quills" profits, it's not enough to exchange for many rare materials. However, handing over this message might change things. (End of Chapter)
