Wang An believed that Wang Dazhu and his wife were definitely capable of handling this kind of situation.

So after Wang An returned to his house, he found the copper wires, transistors, diodes, resistors, and other components, and began to make a signal amplifier using a soldering iron.

The parts Wang An bought were not complete, but it wasn't a big problem for him; at most, the power would just be slightly weaker.

The most difficult and time-consuming part of making an amplifier is to use copper wires to fix the circuit board onto a wooden board.

After bending each copper wire into the desired shape, place it on a wooden board, and then use the carpenter's glue to attach the copper wire to the board.

Then, melt the solder wire with a soldering iron and carefully solder the components onto the copper wire.

To avoid being disturbed, Wang An even went to the west room and locked the door, then quietly tinkered with things inside.

Wang An was busy, and Wang Dazhu and his family were also busy in their house to the east.

However, these people were busy prying up and laying bricks on the ground.

Because floor tiles weren't fashionable at the time, Wang Anjia's house was paved with red bricks.

The biggest advantage of using red bricks for paving is that they are easy to maintain and can be replaced very quickly; anyone can do it.

Therefore, before Wang An's first amplifier was even finished, the floor tiles in the living room of the east-facing house had already been replaced.

After the floor tiles were replaced, it was time to make dinner. Some people went home, while others were still watching TV.

It's hard to imagine how attractive television must have been to people back then.

Keep in mind that at that time, the signal on Wang An's TV was still very poor, with the screen full of static and lines, making it impossible to see what was being shown. Yet, everyone was still watching with great interest.

I really don't understand what they're all looking at.

Wang An focused intently on making the amplifier, taking more than an hour to complete the first one.

However, after making the amplifier, Wang An did not go to Wang Dazhu's house to test whether it worked or not, but instead went back to his own house.

When Wang An entered the room, Mu Xueqing and Huang Li were also watching a television with a very blurry picture, and they seemed to be watching with great interest, occasionally letting out silvery laughter.

Wang An glanced at the television screen and couldn't help but frown.

Wang An genuinely couldn't figure out what was being shown on TV.

Seeing Wang An enter the house carrying a wooden board, Mu Xueqing turned around and asked with a face full of curiosity:

"Xiao An, what are you holding?"

Wang An did not answer, but instead chuckled and said to Mu Xueqing and Huang Li:

"Aren't you two watching TV? It's so boring! You can't even see people's faces clearly. I don't know what you're watching."

Mu Xueqing was taken aback upon hearing this, but subconsciously replied:
"It's been like this ever since you installed it, hasn't it always been like this?"

Wang An chuckled, raised the amplifier in his hand, and said:
"Look, I'll do a magic trick for you. I'll use this thing to make the TV crystal clear."

Mu Xueqing knew nothing about televisions, let alone amplifiers, and asked incredulously:

"You think you can make the TV clearer with just a broken wooden board covered in bits and pieces?"

Wang An smiled smugly and said, "Of course, you don't even know what an awesome guy you found."

As he spoke, Wang An turned off the TV, picked up a pair of scissors, and cut the flat feeder cable directly from near the TV. Then he connected the amplifier to the flat feeder cable.

After inspecting the various components on the circuit board, Wang An turned the TV back on.

It must be said that the amplifier made by Wang An is really amazing.

Because once the TV is turned on, the picture on the screen immediately becomes much clearer as the picture tube starts working, mainly because the horizontal and vertical bars on the screen all disappear.

However, there was still a lot of snow, and the faces on the screen were still not clearly visible.

Wang An gently pushed the small copper plate on the resistor, and the previously unclear television picture on the screen gradually became clear. Although the snow on the screen was still there, it was now just scattered specks.

Mu Xueqing and Huang Li were both utterly shocked by what they saw. Before Mu Xueqing could speak, Huang Li said:

"Big brother, you're amazing! So this is what people on TV look like. They're so good-looking."

Upon hearing this, Wang An nodded smugly at Huang Li, then turned to Mu Xueqing and said:
"How about it, honey? Isn't your husband awesome? Hahahaha."

Mu Xueqing stared dumbfounded at the screen, blinked her beautiful big eyes, and said:

"Wow, that's amazing, absolutely amazing!"

Immediately afterwards, Mu Xueqing said again:
"This kind of TV is still better; it's so clear."

Wang An smiled again, but when he turned to look at the screen, he frowned.

The reason Wang An frowned was that, theoretically speaking, the static on the screen at that moment shouldn't exist at all.

In Wang An's memory, once an amplifier was installed, the television screen would become as clear as fabric, and no matter what program was broadcast, it would be very clear.

But at this moment, there is still static on the screen that can't be removed, and no matter how the resistance is adjusted, it doesn't work.

Wang An, rubbing his teeth, carefully examined the amplifier he had made once more.

After pondering for a while, Wang An realized that the amplifier he made was already quite good, considering that it was actually missing some components, especially the crucial filter capacitor, which was replaced with a regular capacitor.

So Wang An thought of the old radio that had always been used as a spare part.

After searching around the back room for a while, Wang An found the broken radio. He took out the circuit board and looked at it. The corners of Wang An's mouth turned up slightly, and a happy smile instantly appeared on his face.

Wang An was pleased because the radio's circuit board not only had two filter capacitors, but also other components such as a voltage regulator and an equalizer.

The key point is that these components are all usable in amplifiers, and Wang An couldn't buy them at the hardware store.

Wang An didn't return to the east room with the radio circuit board; instead, he went directly to the west room to continue working on the next amplifier.

Since we need to make a total of four amplifiers, the one we made before doesn't need to be modified.

And so, Wang An continued his busy work.

Fortunately, with the experience of making the first one, mainly the experience of laying copper wires, Wang An found it much easier to make the subsequent amplifiers! (End of Chapter)
