Deadly Game: Almighty Boss’s Guide to Making Money

Chapter 1354 Exploring the Old House

Chapter 1354. Exploring the Old House (1)

In the afternoon, at a temporary parking area beside a suburban highway.

Sunlight streamed through the clouds, casting dappled shadows on the asphalt road. A gentle breeze, carrying the lingering warmth of late summer, swept by, swirling up a few withered yellow leaves.

Holy crap, they're all handsome men and beautiful women.

—123, it's dangerous for you to go into a dungeon with two handsome young men.

—There's a handsome young man and a beautiful young woman over there!
—What an amazing configuration!

—Well, Wen Yang is just young, not handsome, okay!
—And he's not tall either. My standard for a handsome guy is height.

--Me too.

—Wen Yang is still young, maybe he'll grow a lot more!
—Okay, I'll reluctantly be classified as a handsome guy.

—You guys are too vulgar, you only see handsome men and beautiful women. I'm different, I see the dozen or so big boxes that 123 brought in.

—What's inside?

—Pots, pans, and food, that seems to be it.

—123 really wants to come in and live a normal life!

—No, 123 doesn't want to, thank you.

Lin Xi also saw two other people.

A girl in her early twenties, wearing light pink outdoor clothing, with long hair draped over her shoulders, the ends of which were slightly curled, fair skin, and gentle eyes and brows.

When she met Lin Xi and the others' gaze, the girl waved.

"Hello, my name is Su Xiaoqing."

The boy next to her looked to be in his early twenties, wearing a black outdoor jacket. He was muscular, with broad shoulders and strong features.

"My name is Lu Kexing."

Wen Yang looked around.

Apart from a few cars in the temporary parking area, there was nothing else nearby.

"What do you mean? Are you telling us to take a car out?" Wen Yang asked.

As soon as Wen Yang finished speaking, a cold electronic voice rang out.

"Welcome to Amazing Park! Today's theme is 'Exploring Old Houses.' Please select your vehicle and proceed to the designated location."

—What do you mean? You're telling me to find a car to drive myself?

—Where is the old house? You can't even give me directions?
—There must be clues, otherwise it wouldn't be called exploration. Giving an address directly would be too easy.

—I bet five cents that the clue is in this parking area, otherwise the electronic voice wouldn't have let you choose a car here.

—Upstairs +1, hurry up and tell them to look for it, don't just stand there like idiots!
After the electronic sounds faded, the parking area fell into a brief silence.

The late summer breeze seemed to have cooled down a bit, and the swirling fallen leaves brushed against the tires, making a soft, rustling sound.

“A clue,” Lin Xi spoke first, his gaze sweeping across the entire parking area. “No coordinates provided, looks like we’ll have to find the old house ourselves.”

Su Xiaoqing nodded, a hint of seriousness appearing in her gentle eyes.

"Let's divide the search tasks? That way we'll be more efficient."

Lu Kexing nodded and pointed to the four directions of the parking area. "I'll go to the north and check if there's anything unusual near the fence."

“Then I’ll go south and take a look around those vehicles.”

Wen Yang was eager to try, and after saying that, he ran towards the white sedan on the far right.

“I’ll go with him!” Bai said.

Lin Xi looked at Su Xiaoqing: "I'll go to the intersection on the east side, you go check out the rest area on the west side?" "Okay." Su Xiaoqing replied and turned to walk towards the simple rest pavilion at the edge of the parking area.

Wen Yang first circled the white sedan, then knocked on the door, but there was no response.

He then opened the passenger door, which was empty except for a thin layer of dust.

"There's nothing there," he muttered, then walked towards a black car parked nearby.

Bai then went to look for it next to the car.

Lin Xi walked to the intersection on the east side of the parking area.

At the intersection stands a faded road sign, the words on it blurred and illegible, with only a few scattered characters such as "suburbs" and "country road" vaguely visible.

She crouched down and carefully examined the road surface. Apart from dappled light and shadow and a few fallen leaves, there were no special markings on the asphalt road.

Just as she was about to get up and go look elsewhere, she caught a glimpse of a small card stuck in the gap of the road sign base.

Lin Xi reached out and pulled out the card. The card was dark yellow and made of rough material, like old kraft paper.

The front of the card depicts the outline of a blurry old house with upturned eaves and two red lanterns hanging at the entrance, giving it a somewhat eerie appearance.

On the back are a few lines of crooked words: Red lacquered door, bluestone slabs, the route is hidden under the crescent window; three on the left and two on the right, align the front wheels, and you can find the traces of the old house.

"We've found a clue!" Lin Xi waved the card in his hand and shouted to the others.

Upon hearing Lin Xi's shout, Bai Ye, Wen Yang, Su Xiaoqing, and Lu Kexing all rushed over immediately.

"What's this?" Wen Yang leaned closer and stared at the card in Lin Xi's hand.

“It looks like a clue card.” Su Xiaoqing examined the handwriting on the card carefully. “‘Red lacquered door, bluestone slab’ should be the sign of the old house, and ‘three on the left, two on the right, front wheels aligned’ is most likely to lead us to a vehicle that matches these conditions.”

Lu Kexing frowned: "What does 'three on the left, two on the right' mean? Does it refer to the order in which the vehicles are arranged?"

The group turned to look at the vehicles in the parking area.

There were five vehicles parked in the temporary parking area, arranged from north to south: the first was a silver minivan, the second was a white sedan, the third was a red SUV, the fourth was a blue pickup truck, and the fifth was a black sedan.

"Counting from left to right, the third car is a red SUV, the fourth is a blue pickup truck, and the fifth is a black sedan," Wen Yang counted. "The third from the left should be the third red SUV, right? Then what does the second from the right mean?"

"Maybe it's the second one from the right?" Bai guessed. "From right to left, the first one is a black sedan, the second is a blue pickup truck, and the third is a red SUV."

Lin Xi pondered for a moment: "'Three on the left, two on the right, front wheels aligned' must mean that we should align the front wheels of the third car from the left and the second car from the right in a certain position. Let's go take a look at these two cars first."

The five people walked quickly to the red SUV and the blue pickup truck.

The two cars were parked side by side, with a parking space between them.

Bai also went around to the front wheels of the two cars and squatted down to observe them carefully.

"There doesn't seem to be anything special under the front wheels, just ordinary asphalt road surface."

Su Xiaoqing walked to the door of the red SUV and tried to pull it. To her surprise, the door was unlocked and opened easily.

"The car door wasn't locked," she said, turning around.

Lin Xi and Lu Kexing immediately went over.

Lin Xi climbed into the driver's seat and carefully checked the interior of the car.

The car was clean, not like it had been sitting idle for a long time.

She turned the steering wheel and found a small red button on it, with the same outline of the old house as on the clue card.

"There's a button here," Lin Xi pointed to the red button on the steering wheel.

Wen Yang also climbed into the passenger seat and peered at the red button.
