The Best Actor in the Vase of Meiyu
Chapter 1327 Falling apart
Chapter 1327 Falling apart
Movies are like puzzles, pieced together piece by piece, chaotic but orderly. Only when everything is arranged in order and position -
Only then can you see the whole picture.
"……However."
“I was like, cool, orange jacket!”
The camera turned and switched to Joel, who was reserved and serious, but was interrupted again the next second.
"Hey." It was Clementine.
Joel was sitting on the steps of the boardwalk next to the beach, holding a plate with roast chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes in his hand. It didn't look delicious at all.
Clementine sat down next to him and greeted him gracefully.
"I saw you sitting there, all by yourself."
“And then I thought, thank God, there are other normal people out there who don’t know how to handle social situations like this either.”
Clementine's words were a little shy, and she took a cautious step forward, testing the waters.
Joel pursed his lips, "Yeah, I never know what to say."
Clementine, "By the way, my name is Clementine."
Joel was slightly stunned.
Without waiting for Joel to respond, Clementine took off her gloves, "Can I have a piece of chicken?"
As she spoke, Clementine grabbed a chicken leg and started chewing it with relish.
Joel blinked. "You just did it without even waiting for my permission."
I couldn't help but chuckle.
Joel turned to look at Clementine and seemed to be talking to himself, mumbling, "So intimate, it's as if we are already a couple."
The ending sound slowly dissipates, carrying with it a hint of nostalgia and remembrance.
Taking a deep breath and retracting his gaze, Joel returned to reality, "My name is Joel."
Clementine gave a smirk, "Hey, Joel." Pause, "So, no making fun of my name."
Joel was stunned, then chuckled, "You mean, oh dear, oh dear, Clementine, you're gone forever, I'm so sorry, Clementine. 'Hackney Hound'. The theme song of the animation?"
Clementine rolled her eyes, "Yeah, like that. Banned!"
Joel, "Okay, no teasing. When I was a kid, my favorite thing was a Huckster doll. I think your name has magical powers."
Wait, if Joel knew about "Hack the Hound" and loved it so much, then why didn't Joel have any memory of it on the train at the beginning of the movie?
The only explanation is that all of Clementine's memories have been deleted, including the "Hackney Hound" theme song which was mistakenly deleted because of the same name!
Clementine looked at Joel quietly, gnawing on a chicken drumstick.
for a long time.
Then she said, "That's all, Joel. This, too, will be deleted soon."
Joel: “I know.”
Clementine, "What do we do?"
Joel, “Enjoy it.”
Sigh, helplessness, and an irrepressible sadness spread.
Joel and Clementine go on a date on the beach in Montauk. It's their first date but also their last date.
They break into a villa next to the beach, and although Joel tries to stop Clementine, the daring Clementine goes in anyway.
There, was the villa where Joel hid the shameful moments deep in his memory, and the villa that Joel would not let Clementine get close to no matter what.
However, back to their first encounter, Clementine finally broke in.
Although he finally stepped into the villa, Joel's nature made it impossible for him to enjoy such behavior, and every cell in his body was resisting.
Joel has been trying to persuade Clementine to leave, but Clementine is preparing to spend the night here. She is exploring the wine cellar, she is looking through the letters - she doesn't open them, she just looks at the envelopes, and she is looking for the bedroom. All these actions remind Joel that they are intruders.
Without warning, the villa's attic began to collapse.
Inexplicably, the floor of the villa was covered in sand. Joel excused himself with the excuse, "I have the last bus to catch."
Clementine: "Let's go then."
Joel seemed to be talking to himself, or to the Clementine in his mind, "I'm leaving. I think you may be a lunatic, but you are full of excitement."
Joel turned and left. Not only the beach but also the sea water gradually began to invade the villa, submerging his ankles.
Clementine called out from the second floor, "I hope you can stay."
Joel turned around and said, "I wish I stayed, too. I wish I stayed now. There are many things I wish I could change."
His steps were wandering.
The sea water was rising and in a blink of an eye it had reached the knees.
Joel stood in the sea, looking up along the stairs, "I hope..." The words got stuck in his throat, and the sadness in his eyes gradually revealed, "I hope I stay. Really."
Clementine, "When I came downstairs, you were gone."
Joel yelled, "I'm leaving. I'm walking out that door."
Clementine, "Why?"
Joel, "I don't know. I'm like a frightened child. My mind is a mess and I don't know anything."
Clementine's voice was full of surprise, "Are you scared?"
Joel gave a wry smile, "Yeah, I thought you already knew that."
The villa is slowly collapsing.
Joel muttered, "I ran away to the campfire, trying to hide my shame."
Clementine, "Is it because of something I said?"
Joel nodded. "Yes. You said, 'Let's go then.' In a dismissive tone."
So, he ran away like a stray dog, without the courage to face his own cowardice and weakness, and fled in a panic and weakness.
I don’t dare to face myself like that.
However, the camera cuts to Clementine poking her head out from the second floor stairs. "Joel, what if you stay this time?"
Joel had already run out the door and turned to look at Clementine, who was projected in his memory. "I ran away. I walked out of that door, so I have no memory of what happened afterwards."
Clementine, "At least come back and say goodbye. Let's pretend we have a memory."
Joel couldn't resist in the end, so he walked back and looked at Clementine with sad eyes.
Clementine walked down and stood at the stairs. She lowered her head and kissed Joel's lips gently. "Goodbye, Joel."
Joel's voice choked up a little, "I love you."
Clementine leaned closer to Joel and whispered, "Meet me in Montauk."
Memory evolves into a brilliant and blurry halo.
Beach. Sea. Books. Scattered all over the floor.
First encounters. Reunions. Quarrels. Everywhere.
The villa stood quietly in the darkness, falling apart, slowing down frame by frame, as if the whole world was collapsing.
Blair was stunned. She had never experienced such confusion before. The collapse of a building made her fall into a magnificent and majestic sadness. She couldn't even cry. She just opened her mouth slightly and looked at the villa in astonishment as it broke into countless pieces and was submerged by the sea.
It's over, it's all over.
Whether sweet or painful, whether happy or sad, everything just disappeared.
Then, in Joel's memory scene, all traces of Clementine were erased, and he was searching and calling out, but got no response.
In an instant, Blair was defeated. Tears burst from her eyes and flowed quietly, almost burning her cheeks, but she forgot to raise her hand to wipe them away. She just let the splendor and beauty on the movie screen spread in her tears, and finally evolved into countless colors surging and burning.
