Chapter 1537 Facing Yourself

Chapter 1537 Facing Yourself
In order to officially bid farewell to his life as Spider-Man, Peter threw his uniform into the trash can, but he never expected that it would be found out by a homeless person who was rummaging through the garbage.

The greedy tramp brought his uniform to the newspaper office to sell in an attempt to earn extra money, but the editor of the newspaper gave him a hundred dollars and announced to New York on the front page:
"Spider-Man no more!"

No one would have thought that the editor-in-chief, who had always despised Spider-Man and attacked Spider-Man and tried every means to discredit Spider-Man, would secretly put on a Spider-Man suit in his office, imitate Spider-Man, and pretend to be a superhero.

The whole audience burst into laughter!

Peter finally returned to ordinary life, but when he saw bad guys bullying the weak on the street again, he couldn't help but stop, but was unable to step forward to help.

Because he is now Peter Parker, who is powerless, this fact makes Peter feel a little lost and confused.

However, after wavering and struggling, he turned and left.

On the anniversary of Uncle Ben's death, Peter and Aunt May went to pay their respects and then went home.

Aunt May expressed her self-blame. On the day Uncle Ben died, Peter wanted to take the subway, but Uncle Ben wanted to talk to Peter and insisted on driving Peter. If Aunt May had stopped Uncle Ben, the accident would not have happened.

Peter couldn't bear to see Aunt May immersed in self-blame and regret, so he finally plucked up the courage to confess to her.

Including an underground boxing match, including himself deliberately letting the robber go in order to retaliate against the organizer, and including Uncle Ben breathing his last breath right in front of him.

Everything. Except for the fact that he was Spider-Man, all told, and Uncle Ben was killed because of his selfishness.

Aunt May stared at Peter, whose eyes were slightly red and who was trying his best to hide his emotions. She couldn't believe it, so she slowly stood up and turned to go upstairs.

Peter sat there alone, his figure stretching out very long.

But this time, the shot didn't last too long. With a switch, the new protective shield built by Doctor Octopus was completed, with only the last step left.

Tritium element.

Doctor Octopus knew that Harry possessed the element tritium. In the dead of night, he found Harry who was frantically looking for Spider-Man.

Harry was terrified when he saw Doctor Octopus appear, but in the confusion and fear, he became more courageous and proposed a deal:
Spiderman.

Doctor Octopus will agree to anything if he can capture Spider-Man alive.

Doctor Octopus didn't care at all, "How do I find him?"

Harry: "Peter Parker."

Doctor Octopus walked away.

In the dark of night, Peter passed by a newsstand and saw the front-page headline of a newspaper: Crime rate in New York increased by 75%.

Peter couldn't help but stop and let out a long sigh.

At this moment, a building at the corner of the street caught fire. Peter subconsciously pulled open his clothes and prepared to go forward to help, but found that he was no longer Spider-Man.

While hesitating, Peter was about to turn around and leave, leaving everything here to the fire department, but the conversation coming from the street made him realize that there were children trapped inside.

Without hesitation, Peter rushed directly into the fire. He thought he would be scared because he no longer had super powers, but in fact, he was not.

He had totally forgotten about it.

In the raging fire, Peter risked his life to find the child. He faced many dangers and narrowly escaped death. But in the end, he managed to rescue the child before the whole building exploded. In the chaos, he put the child into the arms of his parents.

As usual, Peter turned around and prepared to leave and disappear as quickly as possible, but due to inhaling a large amount of smoke and dust and burns on the surface of his skin, Peter collapsed to the ground before he had walked far and had to receive emergency treatment by ambulance.

This is the first time Peter has to save a life entirely on his own without any super powers.

The firefighters came to praise him, but Peter inadvertently heard the firefighters' conversation and learned that there was another person on the fourth floor who ultimately failed to escape.

Peter was stunned and all his movements stopped: If he had super powers, could that person also be saved?

This caused Peter to struggle and pull again.

"Don't I deserve what I want? Don't I deserve to live the life I desire? What should I do?"

However, no one could give Peter an answer. Because of Aunt May's message, Peter returned home, only to find that his aunt was preparing to move.

Although the bank lent the loan for several weeks, Aunt May knew they could not repay the loan, so she simply found an apartment and prepared to move in advance.

Peter had no idea that Aunt May didn't even invite Peter to help, but instead asked Henry, a nine-year-old boy from the next-door neighbor, to come and help out.

Aunt May seemed very calm and she believed that she could take care of herself.

Seeing Peter's face full of guilt and sadness, Aunt May temporarily stopped what she was doing, came to Peter, looked into his eyes sincerely, and told him that what had happened was over. She thanked Peter for his honesty and courage. No matter what, she was still proud of him and still loved him.

When little Henry appeared again, Peter was amazed that his once tiny boy had grown so tall.

What little Henry was interested in was Peter's job: taking pictures of Spider-Man.

Little Henry and Aunt May were curious why Spider-Man hadn't been seen for a long time; Peter said that Spider-Man might want to explore other possibilities.

Little Henry inquired hopefully, "Will he ever come back?"

Peter, “…I don’t know.”

Little Henry couldn't hide his disappointment, he turned away with drooped shoulders.

Aunt May looked at little Henry's back, "You'll never guess what his dream is?"

Peter asked subconsciously, "What is it?"

Aunt May, "Spider-Man."

Peter certainly wasn't expecting that, "Why?"

Aunt May smiled. "He can tell who the heroes are. Not many people are willing to risk their lives saving an old girl like me."

"Children like Henry need heroes, heroes who sacrifice their own little for the greater good, to be our role models."

"Everyone loves a hero. We cheer for him and support him. Even many years later, they will wait in the rain for a long time just to see the hero who desperately saved their lives at that time."

“I believe that each of us has within us a heroic potential that keeps us true to ourselves, gives us strength, ennobles us, and allows us to die with pride.”

"Although sometimes we have to sacrifice ourselves and give up the things we hold most dear, maybe even our dreams. Spider-Man inspired Henry, and he was curious about where he went, and he needed him."

Aunt May chattered on and on, and Peter listened silently.

The pair of azure eyes hidden behind the glasses could not be seen clearly, but one could vaguely see a thin layer of mist covering the lenses and tears condensed on the eyelashes.

The face, hidden in the golden sunlight, appears and disappears.

Then, he tilted his head slightly, revealing half of his face. His eyes gradually became clearer, and a light of determination and hope slowly lit up.

“Can you help move the desk to the garage?”

Aunt May didn't notice anything unusual about Peter.

Peter nodded slightly and let out a long breath. "Okay," he said.

Aunt May thought Peter was going to move the desk, "Don't strain yourself, be careful."

Peter's smile rose slightly, and he felt as if he had seen the moon after the clouds had been cleared away. He nodded again, "Okay."

This is the third time tonight that the camera lingers on Anson's face.

There is obviously no special arrangement, not even any soundtrack, but the feeling of surging emotions and boiling blood makes the heart start beating wildly. From fragile to strong, from wavering to determined, a new soul is transforming.

Nicholas didn't realize that he had unconsciously sat up straight, his back straight, and his eyes full of hope.
