Chapter 1971 Special Races
Chapter 1971 Special Races
[Primitive Humans]
[Primitive humans wearing the fur of wild animals have strong vitality (self-recovery properties), but lack intelligence. Fortunately, they have a natural dominance over wild animals, which is an ability inherited from their ancestors. ]
[Angel Race]
[A special life form with wings growing on its back. It has a natural affinity with light and fire, but is very resistant to darkness and earth. It will be burned if it is touched.]
【Underground Man】
[Humans living at the lowest level of the twelve-layered underground world, worshipping the feathered serpent, and possessing noble souls.]
Among them, the [Primitive Humans] and [Angel Race] appeared after Adam on the Destroyer Star, while the [Subterranean People] are the people in the mythical totem butterfly of the subterranean world.
Blazer was directly involved in the emergence of these three special races, but he didn't know much about the others except for the subterranean people.
It wasn't that he didn't care, but rather that the two special races, [Primitive Humans] and [Angel Race], only appeared among the Strangers. They hadn't been born in this world, or rather, no related groups had been born yet. Even if he wanted to understand them, he had no way to do so.
He knew quite a bit about the subterranean people. Although he hadn't entered the subterranean world for a while, he had corresponded with the feathered serpent and Wemark, and many of these correspondences involved strangers who appeared as subterranean people.
As noble warriors who believe they will transform into butterflies and fly with the sun after death, the subterranean people possess extremely powerful physiques, a very high innate faith, and their exclusive equipment: the animal skin armor.
Blessed by the Skinner and recognized by the Feathered Serpent for the warriors' bravery, the subterranean people could wear the pelts of the beasts they had personally defeated and gain the beasts' power, which was their special abilities.
People of other races can also wear [animal hide clothing], but they can only gain some of the skills. Overall, it is still the [subterranean people] who benefit the most from wearing [animal hide clothing].
Furthermore, considering that the [Beasthide Armor] can be worn over other equipment like the Soul Steel Armor, its cost-effectiveness increases dramatically.
As a specialty item of the mythical totem butterfly, the biggest advantage of the [Beast Skin Clothing] is undoubtedly that it is directly produced by the Skinner, and is personally customized by the Skinner, who is at the level of a supreme god. Only those who have completed the ritual can wear it, making it a semi-bound piece of equipment. Its value is off the charts.
However, this also brings an unavoidable drawback: to meet the Skinner, one must complete the special challenge of the Underworld, the "Coming of Age Ceremony," which means that the types of monsters that can be used to make the "Flea Clothing" are limited to the first layer of the Underworld.
Unfortunately, the gods associated with the mythical butterfly totem are in a very delicate state. The totem on the surface has been destroyed, and they can only operate in the underground world. Neither the feathered serpent nor the skin-peeling lord can go to the surface.
Some outsiders attempted to capture monsters on the surface, bring them to the underground world, and after releasing them, successfully completed the hunt again, thus beginning their "rite of passage" and obtaining the corresponding "animal skin clothing" from the Skinner.
Unfortunately, this method is too costly. Powerful monsters are difficult to capture alive, and it's pointless to make [animal skin clothing] from weak monsters.
The options are either to introduce new species to enrich the monster variety of the first level of the underground world, or to try opening up other eleven levels of the underground world. Another issue is that the [Coming-of-Age Ceremony] can only be performed once, and whether it starts or not is not up to the individual; it will automatically begin as long as the conditions are met.
But the stranger quickly found a loophole in this issue: life is only once, and all opportunities to participate in the coming-of-age ceremony are only once, but the blessed person has more than one life.
You don't need to wait eighteen years; you can become a hero again right away.
Overall, the [Underground People] are a race that is quite suitable for novice outsiders. They have extremely high basic attributes, come with a [Hide Clothing] that offers excellent value for money, and can also unlock hidden quests that refresh upon death.
However, the [Underground People] present another problem for Blaze: outsiders who choose the [Underground People] race will be born in the Underworld by default, and their place of origin will naturally be Turan City in the Underworld.
Turan City will undoubtedly participate in the Olympiad, which doesn't affect anything. In fact, Turan City has one advantage over the kingdoms on the ground: it's much easier to move between places of origin.
This is thanks to the fact that after the underground world opened up, some of the underground people living in dangerous areas were migrating to the surface, and they just happened to catch the wave.
Blaze should first negotiate with Turan as the King of Asgard to pave the way for the subsequent relocation of his birthplace.
Greenland's suggestion is to wait until the lord cities outside of Kansui are built before relocating. In the lead-up to the Olympia tournament, the issue of relocating one's place of origin is quite sensitive, so it's best to minimize the number of relocations.
Blazer strongly agrees with this. Most of the people who participate in the competition are there to fight for their hometown and give it their all. If they lose to those who "bring in foreign aid," they will feel resentful. This is why the number of outsiders participating is limited.
Compared to the "Underground People" who are involved in relocating their place of origin, the "Primitive Humans" and "Angel Race" have it much easier, as they do not have a default birthplace, but this is relatively less "favorable".
Compared to the hidden quest that grants the [Animal Hide Clothing], the [Subterranean] race, with its exceptionally high and well-balanced stats, exhibits a clear imbalance between [Primitive Humans] and [Angel Race].
In terms of attributes, [Primitive Humans] are a race that clearly abandons intelligence and faith, and pursues extreme violence. As for learning magic or praying, forget about it.
While the [Angel race] doesn't have such obvious attribute bias, it has weaknesses in dark and earth attributes. These weaknesses are ridiculously large, to the point that it will start losing health as soon as it touches the ground barefoot. Just like the legendary angels who cannot come into contact with the filth of the mortal world, it is best to choose a ranged class.
While both races possess considerable strengths, they also have significant weaknesses. To challenge the true pinnacle, they must develop comprehensively; otherwise, their weaknesses will be exploited and they will be finished.
You have to find a way to make up for it, either with technology or with tools. Unfortunately, neither of these is something a novice outsider can do in a short time, especially tools, which are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and expensive. These are the things Asgard lacks most right now.
Greenland took this into account, but still recommended the two races to Blazer because Blazer had a way to make up for their shortcomings and turn them into an almost hexagonal super-powerful race.
