Chapter 1987 Orc Tribe

Chapter 1987 Orc Tribe
Orcs are the largest of the alien races, and most people generally refer to orcs when they talk about alien races.

They are numerous, physically strong, and most importantly, have a strong reproductive capacity. Their offspring have a short growth cycle, although they have the disadvantage of a relatively short lifespan.

In terms of sheer numbers, the orcs are a force that surpasses the three kingdoms, but to this day, they have not posed any significant threat to humanity, only managing to harass and plunder goods.

This is not because orcs are inherently kind, but because orcs themselves have a very serious problem of division. The conflicts between different orc races are even greater than the conflicts between orcs and humans.

Even within the same race, there are different clans, and these clans can become mortal enemies over issues such as territory and food.

The sheer size of the orcs is only apparent to humans. Cat orcs, dog orcs, and tiger orcs are all just orcs. Compared to the orcs, even the most chaotic period in the Third Kingdom was relatively harmonious and peaceful.

The reason this has come to this is mainly due to two reasons, one of which is the problem with the orcs themselves.

The orcs' status is quite ambiguous; they are neither purely beasts nor purely human. They have their own culture, yet they are quite primitive and follow the laws of nature. This means that they do not actively transform nature like humans do, nor do they cultivate land or raise livestock to obtain food.

Herbivorous orcs still eat grass, leaves, and fruits like other herbivores, while carnivorous orcs hunt when they are hungry. However, orcs are much more intelligent than ordinary wild beasts and monsters, have a certain degree of civilization, and have a considerable demand for food. As a result, there are clashes between races and blood feuds between clans.

Besides the orc's own structural problems, another factor was an external force.

Just as the Third Kingdom was unified by Camelot to form the Eternal Kingdom, the Orcs can also be unified, requiring only sufficiently powerful individuals or clans.

Orcs themselves yearn for civilization, and their conflicts and battles are nothing less than a desire for the birth of a leader for the orcs.

During the High Kingdom era, the noble Ancient Dragon Princess and the High Prince Fora became kings supported by all the alien races, including the orcs. Unfortunately, the Ancient Dragon Princess and the High Prince Fora were banished from the world during the upheaval caused by Theresa, plunging the orcs into chaos once again.

After experiencing the power and civilization brought by unification, the orcs fell into even fiercer battles. The battles between clans that had received the blessing of the blood of the ancient dragon princess were particularly intense, and eventually a single victor emerged.

But the final victor was not a follower of Princess Gu Long.

The Sandrak Clan is a powerful clan that worships the Great Beast God. They conquered various clans with unparalleled strength and became the leaders of the orcs. Unfortunately, this did not bring peace to the orcs, but instead led to an even more terrible and cruel internal competition.

If Princess Gulong represents the more human side, pursuing civilization and the flame of civilization, then the Great Beast God worshipped by the Sandrak Clan represents the more beastly side, yearning for savagery, the survival of the fittest, and the law of the jungle.

From the moment the Great Beast God replaced the Ancient Dragon Princess as the orcs' faith, the orcs were transformed from neutral units into hostile units, and the faith in the Great Beast God became a savage curse.

It wasn't until the arrival of the strangers that the people of the Fairy Kingdom defeated the Great Beast God, freeing the beastmen from this curse. Under the strangers' mediation, many clans and humans achieved a relatively harmonious coexistence. Now, most beastman clans are open to the strangers and often entrust them with tasks.

Greenland led the way to the [Storther Clan], also known as the Gianthoof Tribe, which is relatively open and has friendly relations with human kingdoms. It is composed of powerful herbivorous beastmen, including bull-men and elephant-men.

Most herbivorous beastmen have relatively stable personalities. Although they possess great strength, they prefer a peaceful life and are therefore very willing to accept various cultural knowledge from humans. They are also the main source of fruits and vegetables for the human kingdom.

The Giant Hoof tribe is among the best, with an astonishing output, second only to the Strangers.

Greenland came here not only because the Gianthoof tribe was a gentle orc clan, but more importantly because the Gianthoof tribe had needs.

Although the Giant Hoof tribe is very powerful, they do not like to fight. It's not that they are afraid of fighting, but that once they start fighting, they have a hard time controlling themselves. In short, they are like honest people who go berserk and will destroy the fields they have worked so hard to build. Therefore, they hire strangers to drive away and hunt down the wild beasts and monsters that harass the tribe.

Because it is the second largest source of fruits and vegetables for humans, the Giant Hoof tribe is quite wealthy. Moreover, the herbivorous beastmen are gentle and honest by nature, and the rewards they offer are particularly generous, so people from other places often come here to do tasks.

But precisely because of their wealth and gentle, honest nature, the Giant Hoof tribe is often harassed by all sorts of monsters, so these kinds of exorcism and hunting missions are just like daily tasks, happening every day.

Of course, Greenland's goal was not to earn a large sum of money as initial capital for these 20 strangers, but rather to preserve the customs of the Giant Hoof tribe itself.

Although herbivores are gentle, they are not without conflict. However, the orcs are more inclined towards humans, so the conflict is turned into a competition under the witness of a priest, and all conflicts are resolved through competition.

The Giant Hoof tribe resolves disputes through a strongman competition, where the winner is determined by strength. Because the Giant Hoof tribe is large and the herbivores are honest and straightforward, such strongman competitions are everywhere, with hundreds happening every day. Sometimes, even two herbivores can apply to participate in a strongman competition.

The profession of "Strongman" can only be unlocked by becoming the champion of a strongman competition. There are not many strongman competitions in the human kingdom, so after the Giant Hoof Tribe appeared, strangers who wanted to become "Strongman" would flock to the Giant Hoof Tribe.

Because of this, two strange phenomena often occur in the Giant Hoof tribe.

One scenario involves two herbivorous beastmen having a minor argument, only for a stranger to suddenly appear and fan the flames, escalating the argument into a full-blown conflict. The other scenario involves a conflict between two herbivorous beastmen, yet the stranger will participate in the competition as if no one else is there.

However, in reality, the outsiders usually win, and the herbivores, who would normally be resentful even if they lost, obediently accept the outcome.

The tribe was at peace, the herbivores were satisfied, the stranger left happily, and everyone had a happy outcome.
