Chapter 2016 Special Attack Range

Chapter 2016 Special Attack Range

After the initial overwhelming surge of savage orcs, the orc settlement fell into an eerie silence, the thicker dust adding to the unsettling atmosphere.

The three of them did not linger and walked straight toward the gathering place. The closer they got, the more they could feel the psychological oppression brought by the sharp buildings.

The settlement appeared before them. Although the word "savage" is used to describe the savage orcs, they are not actually wild beasts that live in caves, and they also have the ability to build dwellings.

What appeared before the three of them was a ring-shaped mountain stronghold with a primitive feel. Animal skin banners bearing the clan's name were faintly visible in the dust. The first thing they saw upon entering the stronghold was the huge altar in the center.

It was a miniature version of the Great Beast God's Goblet of Fire. Dozens of savage orcs, dressed in ancient priestly robes made of various animal hides sewn together, were surrounding the goblet, murmuring in ancient orcish language. An exceptionally tall savage orc stood beside the goblet of fire, as if he were the master of this ceremony, silent yet solemn.

The flames dancing in the Goblet of Fire were the soul flames of the savage orcs, their light illuminating part of their faces.

Because of its horned face, the light of the soul flame was split by the horns, making the orc's face appear unpredictable.

Below the priests were tall, burly savage orcs dressed in rough and barbaric equipment, wielding enormous weapons, appearing as both guardians and slaughterers.

Below them are the savage orcs, whose bodies are radiant with the light of the Great Beast God totem, silently twisting their bodies to express their fanatical faith.

They were completely absorbed in the ceremony, as if the death of their kin was insignificant.

“Apostle of the Great Beast God, Slayer of the Great Beast God’s Ritual, Fanatic of the Great Beast God.”

Greenland counted them off one by one. The most numerous were the Zealots, who could only stay on the periphery. Those wearing equipment were the Slayers, and those at the very top who were qualified to touch the Goblet of Fire were the Apostles.

“There’s another one in the Goblet of Fire. It seems they want the one in the Goblet of Fire to absorb the soul flame,” Blaze said in a low voice.

The soul flame contains the power of life, but unfortunately, so far, only the blessed can absorb the soul flame directly by crushing it without any side effects and strengthen themselves.

Those other than the one who bestows the blessing will be affected to varying degrees. Some will experience drastic changes in temperament, while others will go insane. Many will become addicted to the feeling of absorbing soul flames and lose all control.

"Looks like we've got good luck, we've encountered an orc who's about to be promoted to general." Greenland's beard twitched, and he brandished his staff, eager to try his luck.

"To be appointed as a general?"

Blaze had heard of this special class among the orcs. During the reign of the Great Beast God over the orcish territory, the orcs were divided into only two types: orcs who were granted titles of kings and generals, and ordinary orcs.

The orcs who were granted titles of kings and generals not only possessed immense power, but more importantly, they had faced the Great Beast God and received his blessings. The titles of kings and generals were bestowed by the Great Beast God.

However, after the Great Beast God was defeated, in theory, there was no way for an individual to be granted the title of King or General before the next Great Beast God was born.

"Interrupt their ritual."

Blaze made a decisive decision and charged toward the Goblet of Fire.

In such unreasonable situations, there are generally only two possibilities.

First, in reality, even without the Great Beast God, one can still be granted the titles of King or General. These titles are simply the natural ones that orcs receive after breaking through their limits.

Second, after the Great Beast God was defeated, there was indeed no way to appoint kings and generals. So the savage beastmen followed the Great Beast God's example and came up with a method that looked like appointing kings and generals.

The second possibility seems more likely, and the result of the second possibility is usually the creation of deformed monsters. Seeing Blaze make a move, Greenland shrugged and followed. She thought it would be a situation where the enemy was performing an evil ritual right in front of them, while they were just standing there talking.

The forger didn't rush after them. Instead, he turned and headed towards the huge, sharp building. He hadn't forgotten his main purpose in coming here: to destroy these buildings that were affecting the dragon vein.

At the same time, he was also testing whether the savage orcs consciously built these kinds of structures that altered the feng shui.

If it's unintentional, the savage orcs will prioritize attacking the Blazer and Greenlanders who disrupt the ritual; if it's intentional, then they will become the targets of the attack.

The former is fine, but if it's the latter, then we'll have to leave one alive for interrogation.

As soon as Blaze moved, the savage orc standing beside the Goblet of Fire let out a hoarse roar. The fanatics around him immediately stopped their bizarre writhing and rushed toward Blaze. The killers guarding the area picked up their weapons and approached steadily.

[Great Beast God Fanatic LV75]

Individuals skilled in using the Great Beast God's prayer are also the most loyal believers in the spread of the Great Beast God's faith.

The fanatics roared in a low voice, their deep, beastly language a series of prayers that filled the entire space. The dust from the corpses of the dead savage orcs twisted and turned, transforming into ferocious beasts that fell to the ground.

"Blaze, ignore those things. The things summoned by the Great Beast God's prayer are indestructible. We need to kill the entity that initiated the prayer first," Greenland shouted a reminder.

"However, if these fanatics are defeated, they will turn to dust, increasing the power of the Great Beast God's prayers of other fanatics."

"I see. In other words, ignore the minions and smash the Goblet of Fire without defeating a single enemy!"

Blaze stomped on the dust beasts, instantly shaking them off, and headed straight for the Goblet of Fire at the center of the ceremony.

Suddenly, two giant swords fell like gates, blocking his path.

[Great Beast God Ritual Slayer LV100]

[A ruthless and cruel killer, a defender of the Great Beast God faith, and the pinnacle of power under the ranks of kings and generals]

Two tall, more human-like slayers wielded greatswords to block Blaze, and behind their towering figures were shadowy leopard-like beastmen.

This is a classic combination of tank and melee combat, violent, with the greatsword swung with sweeping, powerful strokes, and venomous fangs piercing like lightning needles.

A combination of four LV100s can unleash power unmatched by anyone below LV150 in battles of similar size.

But this is also the distance that Blazer is good at.

Boom——

Like thunder, two fists bursting with blinding lightning landed on the chests of the two tiger-beastmen. The leopard-beastmen, dazed by the sudden flash, saw the last thing they saw: the rapidly approaching, withered-wood-like spear tip.

tread.

While the four Slayers remained in attack stance, Blaze had already stepped onto the steps of the Goblet of Fire altar.
