Looking at the several shadows still visible in the Yin-Yang Mirror, Chen Ze took a deep breath and said, "The problem here is far more complex than we imagined. These evil spirits are just the tip of the iceberg."

Tian Siyao looked around worriedly, then at Chen Ze. "We need a plan; we can't just act blindly like this..."

After a brief moment of deep thought, Chen Ze said, "That's true. We need to understand the situation here first, find out why the evil spirits appeared, and then make a decision."

The two looked at each other, understanding each other tacitly.

In this village full of unknowns and dangers, they understand that only by relying on each other's strength and wisdom can they have a chance to unravel all the mysteries.

And all of this is just the beginning of the challenges they are about to face.

Chen Ze and Tian Siyao entered the village called "Hanxi". A gust of bleak wind blew by, and they could almost hear faint weeping.

The two stopped under a tree in the center of the village and carefully observed their surroundings.

In the distance, a shadow moved silently through the streets and alleys, like a slippery eel.

Chen Ze gripped the Yin-Yang Mirror tightly, glanced around, and finally caught a glimpse of that non-human aura in the crowd.

"Are you ready, Siyao?" he whispered to Tian Siyao.

Tian Siyao nodded, drew her jade sword, the blade emitting a faint green light, like a clear spring under the moonlight.

"Of course, we cannot allow it to harm people again."

The two then disappeared into the night, their steps synchronized and silent, as they pursued the evil spirit lurking among the crowd.

Finally, at the entrance of a narrow alley, they surrounded the evil spirit.

The demon sneered, its entire body emanating a putrid stench.

He glanced at the jade sword in Tian Siyao's hand and the Qingfeng sword in Chen Ze's hand, a hint of disdain in his eyes.

Chen Ze sneered, and with a wave of his Qingfeng Sword, the sword light flashed like water, directly slashing at the evil spirit.

Tian Siyao was not to be outdone; she wielded her jade sword, creating a green halo that blocked the evil spirit's escape route.

The demon roared in anger, and suddenly its body transformed, from a bloated figure into a slippery black shadow, trying to escape through the gaps in the sword light.

"Don't even think about running!" Chen Ze roared, and a dazzling light suddenly burst forth from the Qingfeng Sword, like the rising sun, forcing the evil spirit to stop in its tracks.

"Let's end this." Tian Siyao said softly, and the Jade Sword and the Breeze Sword pierced the evil spirit's vitals almost simultaneously.

The evil spirit let out a shrill scream, its body shrinking rapidly as if drained of water, and finally turning into a wisp of black smoke and disappearing into the air.

As the sword light subsided, Chen Ze and Tian Siyao immediately returned to the large tree in the center of the village.

The residents came out one after another, and when they saw the magical artifacts and swords in the hands of the two, their previous doubts and unease disappeared.

"You really saved us, thank you," a villager said with tears in his eyes.

Tian Siyao smiled and shook her head. "You're welcome. It's what we should do."

As Chen Ze looked at the village where hope was gradually being rekindled, he secretly vowed that he and Tian Siyao would continue on their journey. No matter how many evil spirits awaited them, they would annihilate them one by one and restore the people's lost hope and faith.

Chen Ze gripped the Yin-Yang Mirror tightly in his hand and looked around at his surroundings.

The evil spirit that had just been driven away disappeared into the dimly lit, abandoned house, but an unsettling atmosphere still lingered in the air.

Tian Siyao stood beside him, holding a jade sword, the echoes of the incantation still lingering in his ears.

"The Yin-Yang Mirror can identify supernatural phenomena, but I didn't fully understand how it works before," Chen Ze said, gently shaking the Yin-Yang Mirror.

The points of light appearing on the mirror weren't just from the evil spirits they had just defeated; there were also several other blurry outlines. "That's strange. The energy field here seems to be distorted." Tian Siyao stared intently at the Yin-Yang Mirror, her bright eyes flashing with curiosity and wariness.

“I feel the same way. The Yin-Yang Mirror is extremely sensitive.” Chen Ze held the Yin-Yang Mirror, as if he were talking to it.

He took a slow breath before saying, "The working principle of the Yin-Yang Mirror should be based on the interaction between the material and non-material worlds. It can detect the existence of non-material things, and non-material things will also be affected by this interference, thus revealing themselves."

Tian Siyao listened intently and nodded: "In that case, using the Yin-Yang Mirror might be a more efficient way to get rid of these unknown objects."

"It's very likely." Chen Ze smiled slightly, suddenly finding a special kind of enjoyment in studying magical artifacts together with Tian Siyao.

Outside the window, the wind blew the long curtains, which swayed like ghosts, but were restrained by the dilapidated wooden window frame.

This subtle movement added an eerie and mysterious atmosphere to the room, making the two of them even more alert.

"So what should we do now?" Tian Siyao asked.

“First, I want to try whether the Yin-Yang Mirror can locate these unidentified objects more accurately.” Chen Ze took a deep breath and gently rotated the frame of the Yin-Yang Mirror.

Suddenly, a beam of light shot out from the mirror and shone directly on a point on the wall.

Tian Siyao immediately pointed the tip of her jade sword at that point, and a flash of green light passed by, but she found nothing.

"That's strange. Logically, there should be a reaction." Chen Ze frowned.

"Perhaps we need more time and experimentation to fully master all the functions of the Yin-Yang Mirror." Tian Siyao put away the jade sword, a thoughtful expression on her face.

“You’re right. Although we didn’t succeed this time, at least we’ve found a new direction.” Chen Ze looked at the Yin-Yang Mirror, as if he had reached some kind of tacit understanding with it.

The two stood in the abandoned house, facing the unknown and danger together, but their hearts were filled with curiosity and anticipation, as if each adventure would bring them closer to the truth.

This time, they have gotten one step closer to the secret behind the Yin-Yang Mirror.

Standing in front of an extremely ordinary little house, Tian Siyao felt a strange impulse, as if some indescribable force was guiding her.

A gentle breeze stirred her long hair, and the fresh air contrasted sharply with the previous gloomy atmosphere.

“It’s strange, there’s an inexplicable attraction here,” Tian Siyao said to Chen Ze beside her.

Chen Ze held the Yin-Yang Mirror and chuckled softly, "Perhaps you can find what you need here?"

Tian Siyao slowly pushed open the door. The small house was simply furnished, yet it gave people a sense of peace.

Her gaze was quickly drawn to a scroll placed on a wooden table.

The scroll is like a solitary dancer, waiting for her appearance on this empty stage.

She stepped forward, gently unfurled the scroll, and there were three large characters written on it: “Qingfeng Spell”.

Immediately, a novel piece of information flowed into her mind, like a gentle breeze brushing against her soul.

“This is…” Tian Siyao’s voice trembled slightly.

"Did you find anything?" Chen Ze stood at the door, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes.

"A new spell, called the Gentle Breeze Spell." Tian Siyao took a deep breath, as if trying to absorb all the surprise into her heart.

Chen Ze was somewhat surprised, but he knew that Tian Siyao had always been very sensitive to magic.

"Then give it a try, maybe this is exactly what you need."

Tian Siyao nodded, picked up the water whip beside her, and began to chant. (End of Chapter)
