"Chen Ze, what do you think is approaching us?" Qin Miyue asked calmly, a layer of pale blue light already gathering in her hand, ready to cast a spell at any moment.

Chen Ze frowned, his gaze sharp as an eagle's.

"It's hard to say. The mechanisms in this ancient tomb are extremely strange. Perhaps it's some kind of guardian creature, or perhaps it's triggered by some unknown mechanism." He said, while cautiously looking around.

Tian Siyao took a deep breath, trying to remain calm. "Whatever it is, we are ready." Her voice trembled slightly, but it was firm.

The airflow in the stone chamber became increasingly noticeable, and tiny dust particles swirled in the air as if drawn by some force.

All three of them focused their attention on this strange phenomenon.

"Look there!" Tian Siyao suddenly pointed to a corner of the stone chamber, where the dust had formed a vortex, and something seemed to be slowly forming in the center.

Qin Miyue clenched her fists, magical energy dancing at her fingertips. "That might be a teleportation array, or a spell to summon something," she said, her voice filled with vigilance.

Chen Ze nodded, his gaze never leaving the vortex. "We have to interrupt it, or who knows what will happen," he said, beginning to chant a sword incantation.

Qin Miyue reacted quickly and immediately followed Chen Ze's actions. She began chanting a complex incantation, while Tian Siyao clasped her hands together, seemingly performing some kind of prayer.

The vortex spun faster and faster, and began to make a buzzing sound; the air inside the stone chamber seemed to vibrate.

"Quickly!" Chen Ze shouted, and his swordsmanship was finally completed.

He swung his sword towards the vortex, and a burst of sword energy shot out, heading straight for the center of the vortex.

At the same time, Qin Miyue's incantation took effect, and a beam of light shot out from her fingertips, merging with the sword energy.

Tian Siyao closed her eyes, and her body began to radiate a soft glow.

As Chen Ze's sword energy shot out and Qin Miyue's incantation appeared, the vortex in the stone chamber seemed to be disturbed. The buzzing sound suddenly intensified, but the vortex did not disappear. Instead, it spun even more violently.

From the center of the vortex, pieces of stone began to fall off, spreading out like a net, forming curves and patterns, as if engraving new symbols into the stone wall.

Suddenly, the stone wall changed. The stone slabs, seemingly drawn by an unseen force, began to move and assemble. Before long, they formed the shapes of stone figures, gradually revealing intricate decorations and armor. Ancient carvings depicted the glory of battle and the vicissitudes of time. Their eyes suddenly gleamed, as if summoned and awakened with the mission of guarding the ancient tomb.

"It seems we've triggered some kind of ancient protective mechanism." Qin Miyue said as she retreated, unfolding a shield that surrounded herself and her companions.

A wary glint appeared in her eyes, and ripples subtly flowed across her shield, as if she were ready to defend against an impending attack.

Tian Siyao's gaze swept quickly over the stone figures, trying to find their weaknesses.

“They must have some weakness. We must find a way before they can fully activate themselves!” As she spoke, the mysterious gem in her hand emitted a faint light, as if it resonated with the aura of the ancient tomb.

Chen Ze gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, the tip slicing through the air, as if he could feel the life force of these stone figures.

"We can't let these stone figures get close! Use ranged attacks to hold them off!" Under his command, the three began to coordinate their actions in an orderly manner.

As if hearing Chen Ze's words, the stone figures began to move slowly, the friction between the stone slabs sending chills down one's spine. These stone figures appeared sluggish, but each step they took carried a heavy momentum, and the air in the stone chamber seemed to freeze.

"Keep a close eye on their movements, don't let them surround us." Chen Ze's voice was filled with unwavering determination. He launched the first attack, chanting the sword incantation again, and his sword energy surged like a dragon, rushing straight into the group of stone figures.

Qin Miyue followed, her magic transforming into a string of ice arrows that streaked through the air and shot towards the stone figures, hoping to slow their movements.

Tian Siyao followed closely behind, and the gem in her hand suddenly emitted an even more dazzling light, shining on another stone terracotta warrior. The terracotta warrior's body began to tremble, as if it had been disturbed by some powerful energy, and its movements suddenly became even slower.

An excited glint flashed across Tian Siyao's face. "I've found a way! This gem can interfere with their power source!"

"Quickly, Siyao, cover them up!" Chen Ze shouted, his swordsmanship becoming even wilder, each swing of his sword bringing up a gust of wind, as if he wanted to completely shatter these stone figures.

Seeing this, Qin Miyue immediately changed her attack method. Her incantation became deeper and deeper, and her fingers drew complex symbols. Fine ice crystals, as thin as cow hair, leaped from her fingertips. They rapidly expanded in the air, turning into small ice shields that blocked the stones flying from all directions for Chen Ze.

Tian Siyao frowned, clearly needing to concentrate greatly to maintain the gem's brilliance, but she persisted, "Ice Goddess, I need more time!"

Qin Miyue replied, "Don't worry, I'll buy you some time. Chen Ze, don't be too hasty!"

Chen Ze wielded his sword even more fiercely, "There's no time left, we must break through their defenses!"

The stone figures' offensive seemed to become more organized, as if they were besieging the enemy under some mysterious command.

Chen Ze and his men parried attacks from the left and right, advancing step by step with meticulous planning.

The battle inside the stone chamber intensified, and everyone's breathing became heavy.

As the battle progressed, the atmosphere in the stone chamber grew increasingly tense. This brief struggle had exhausted most of their energy, but their eyes remained resolute, showing no sign of retreat.

"Chen Ze, look there!" Tian Siyao's voice was filled with surprise.

In one corner of the stone chamber, a stone figurine seems different from the others. Its decorations are more exquisite, and the surrounding stone figurines maintain a certain distance, as if in awe of it.

"That might be their general!" Chen Ze's voice was also filled with excitement.

He quickly assessed the situation, "Let's concentrate our firepower on that stone figure!"

Qin Miyue chanted the incantation rapidly, and layers of halos formed around her, each enhancing her next attack.

She pointed to the 'general'-level stone terracotta warrior, "Frozen for thousands of miles!"

The power of frost condensed into a giant ice arrow, which hurtled straight toward its target with a deafening whoosh.

The stone terracotta warrior 'General' seemed to sense the threat and began to slowly raise its massive stone arm, as if preparing to retaliate.

"Hurry!" Chen Ze shouted urgently.

His swordsmanship changed again, and the sword energy became as dense as a fine rain. Together with the ice arrows and the light of Tian Siyao's gemstone, they bombarded the 'general'.

The stone terracotta warrior 'General' finally swung its stone arm down, but its attack was not as powerful as expected because its movement was interfered with by the gem in Tian Siyao's hand, greatly slowing down its speed.

The icy arrows and sword energy struck it first, instantly unleashing dazzling light and a violent shockwave on its body.

The light from the explosion echoed through the stone chamber, accompanied by a deafening roar.

The stone general statue appeared to have been instantly destroyed in the fierce attack, with pieces of stone scattering everywhere. (End of Chapter)
