The passageway gradually expanded into a spacious hall, their footsteps echoing in the empty space. The tomb seemed to show more signs of life—the dust on the ground was disturbed, and the air was filled with a mixture of ancient wood and fragrant aromas.

Tian Siyao whispered to the two of them, "We might not be the first people to arrive here. These traces..."

Chen Ze's sword tip pointed towards the center of the hall, where a huge stone coffin was placed.

“Look there,” he said gravely. “We must be careful; that could be the main chamber of the tomb.”

Qin Miyue created a ball of light in front of her, illuminating the entire hall.

The light from the orb reflected off the stone coffin, giving it an eerie glow.

“Here…” Her voice suddenly stopped, as if she had realized something.

The three slowly approached the stone coffin, feeling the air temperature gradually decreasing. Suddenly, the ground trembled, as if in response to their approach. Some mechanism within the tomb had been activated.

Tian Siyao looked around nervously, her gem trembling slightly. Whether the trembling was due to fear or excitement, she herself couldn't say. "I can feel the energy flow changing; we must be very careful."

Qin Miyue gripped her staff tightly, her brows furrowed, as if pondering a complex problem. "This tomb... it's alive; everything around us is observing us."

Chen Ze suddenly turned to the side and saw a hidden door appear on a wall. The hidden door slowly opened, and a cold wind came out.

"Behind that door might lie the answers we're looking for," he said, his voice filled with determination.

Tian Siyao followed closely behind, her hand gently brushing against the wall. The patterns on the wall seemed to react to her touch, emitting a faint glow.

“These patterns are a guide; we are on the right track.”

Qin Miyue looked at Chen Ze and Tian Siyao, and the three of them nodded. The unspoken understanding between them was more powerful than any words.

"Whatever lies ahead, we must face it together."

They passed through a hidden door, revealing a long, narrow corridor lined with countless symbols and totems. A faint light seemed to flicker at the end of the corridor. Chen Ze swung his sword, slicing through the spiderweb-like patterns ahead, and the air in the corridor grew increasingly heavy.

Every step in the corridor felt like treading on echoes of history. The three moved forward cautiously, their every breath seemingly stirring up ripples of dust. Qin Miyue's sphere of light gradually dimmed at the end of the corridor; her magic seemed to be restricted here.

Tian Siyao stared at the light ahead. "Look," she said, "there must be something behind that light."

The path to the light was riddled with traps and mechanisms; they had to be extremely careful with every step. Chen Ze looked down, examining each stone slab on the ground, trying to find a safe route.

Qin Miyue focused her attention on the ceiling of the corridor, where suspended stones looked as if they could fall at any moment. "It's a balancing mechanism," she explained. "Once our weight exceeds a certain limit, the entire corridor will collapse."

Tian Siyao followed closely behind Chen Ze, observing the surrounding walls as she walked. "I could feel the walls trembling, as if they were breathing."

They finally reached the end of the corridor, where light emanated from a tiny cave entrance, from which a mysterious and powerful force flowed.

"We found it!" Tian Siyao said excitedly.

The three stopped before the faint entrance to the cave. Chen Ze put down his sword first and turned to his two companions: "We may be close to the end, but judging from these signs, the final test has only just begun."

Tian Siyao nodded, her fingers gently tracing the edge of the door frame, as if conversing with the ancient stones. "Every stone here carries the heavy weight of history's secrets. We must be careful not to easily trigger any mechanisms that may have been buried for a long time."

Qin Miyue closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then slowly opened them.

“Whatever is inside, the power I sense is very ancient, perhaps the secret we are seeking.” Chen Ze took the lead and stepped into the cave entrance, his sword tip drawing a semicircle in the air as he remained alert for any possible unexpected events.

"Keep close together, don't let it scatter."

As they entered the cave, the force of the air intensified, like waves crashing against them, synchronized with each breath they took. The cave was exceptionally narrow, forcing them to move sideways, the rock walls almost within reach.

"Can you feel the temperature of the walls?" Tian Siyao asked in a low voice, her fingers touching the rocks, feeling the subtle changes they emanated.

“Yes,” Qin Miyue replied, “they seem to be showing us the way.” Occasionally, there were uneven symbols on the wall, and whenever a finger touched these symbols, a slight vibration could be felt, as if in response.

"It's symbols again."

“These symbols might also be some kind of clue,” Chen Ze’s voice echoed in the narrow space.

Soon, a door made of rock appeared before them, inlaid with various gems, which shone brilliantly under the light from the tip of Qin Miyue's staff.

“This door…” Tian Siyao said softly, “is alive, and each gem is an independent guardian.”

Chen Ze reached out to touch a gemstone, which suddenly lit up and made a faint sound. Immediately afterward, the entire door shook.

"Back off quickly!" Qin Miyue shouted.

They quickly stepped aside, and saw the door slowly open, a beam of light shining out. As the door fully opened, a gust of cold wind, carrying the smell of earth, rushed in, and they felt the temperature drop sharply.

“We are ready.” Chen Ze looked up at Tian Siyao and Qin Miyue. They exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with determination.

Upon entering, they found themselves standing in a spacious underground hall…
In the center of the hall was a massive stone altar, carved with intricate details.

A variety of totems and hieroglyphs.

“Look at these carvings.”

Qin Miyue pointed to the altar and said.

The three approached the altar and began to study the ancient symbols, trying to unravel the secrets hidden within.

Just as they were completely absorbed, a deep chanting sound echoed in the hall, seemingly coming from deep underground.

"Is this a warning or a welcome?" Tian Siyao asked nervously.

"Whatever it may be, we're already here." Chen Ze gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, ready to face the unknown that was about to unfold.

The chanting grew louder and louder, the air inside the cave began to vibrate, and the ground trembled slightly.

They are ready to meet any challenge, whatever it may be.

As the chanting intensified, a barely perceptible tension flickered in the exchange of glances between Chen Ze, Tian Siyao, and Qin Miyue. Although the light inside the cave was dim, their eyes shone with a resolute determination.

"We must not retreat here." Qin Miyue's voice echoed in the cave, as if intertwined with ancient chants.

Tian Siyao nodded, her eyes fixed on the intricate totems. "Each symbol represents a story, a piece of history. Perhaps, it is they that summoned us here." (End of Chapter)
