Chapter 7, Section 10: Searching for the Golden Carrot

Chapter 7, Section 1.0: Searching for the Golden Carrot

Mu Yegui pursed her pink lips, a rare hint of dissatisfaction in her calm tone, and said with admiration, "You're really lucky."

The man didn't think Mu Yegui was praising her; he just felt that she was like a demon, someone who had just tried to kill him!

"Stop arguing! The stuff's here!" Ke Ya broke the silent struggle between the two with a stern face, her eyes fixed on the rustling grass around them.

Fish crossed his arms and leaned casually against the giant radish, his azure eyes sweeping over the three people present. Suddenly, he let out a strange sneer, sounding like mockery or disdain.

His golden, tousled hair swayed slightly in the wind, revealing a smooth, full forehead. His handsome face carried a hint of flippant and sarcastic smile, giving people a strange and uncomfortable feeling. However, people would be so amazed by his appearance at this moment that they would forget their initial feelings.

They assumed the white rabbits in the grass would be the same as the ones they had just seen—small, soft, and incredibly cute and fluffy.

However, after it leaped high above everyone's heads, blocking out the sunlight and casting shadows like a dark cloud, it realized that it was wrong, terribly wrong.

The giant rabbit was three or four meters tall, level with the carrot, and could easily bite off a tenth of it.

The obese body trembled slightly, and when it landed on the ground, the ground shook.

The gray fur looked like it hadn't been washed in a long time; it was dirty and quite a bit matted together.

Half of its mouth was missing, and one of its eyes was blind, revealing bright red flesh covered in blood.

Koya felt a sudden wave of nausea and wanted to gag, but she managed to hold it in. She took a half-step back to create some distance and looked at it warily.

The rabbit leaped high into the air again and pounced on the man.

"Ah!!! Help me! Help me! I don't want to die! Someone save me!" the man screamed, but his legs were too weak to stand up, and he could still faintly smell the stench of urine.

Ke Ya frowned deeply. She didn't really want to save him, but because the game rules required five people to continue, she had no choice but to endure it. With a reluctant expression, she risked being tackled and rushed over to grab the man's shoulder and throw him away violently.

The force caused her to lose strength and stagger twice, thus slowing her down a step.

At this moment, the rabbit was about to pounce on Koya. If it were to sit on Koya like this, she would surely turn into a lump of minced meat.

The man sat on the ground in a panic, his expression twisted yet with a hint of satisfaction, as if he had successfully taken revenge on someone.

Mu Yegui pursed her pink lips, lightly touched the ground with her toes, and appeared in front of Ke Ya in the next second. Facing the rabbit's huge body, she raised her foot and gave it a slight kick.

Despite not moving its body much or exerting any force, the rabbit was bounced out like a ball and crashed heavily into the spikes on the fence.

The next second, crimson blood flowed all over the ground. The rabbit lay on its back, its chest pierced by the fence, its limbs twitching as it struggled to move forward, but finally stopped and fell silent.

The man's expression twisted with surprise at what he had just witnessed. He glared fiercely at Mu Yegui, but she suddenly turned around and shrank back, no longer daring to look around.

"Thank you!" Koya gasped for breath, clearly still shaken by what she had just witnessed.

“Gone.” Mu Yegui pointed to the dead rabbit that had been on the fence. There was nothing there, only the flowing blood telling them what had just happened. The rustling sound came from the nearby bushes again. Ke Ya trembled. She moved her lips, which were pale, but in the end, she didn’t say anything.

She took a deep breath and, trembling, feigned composure, said, "The rules say to use the right tool to hit the rabbit. Did I fail because I didn't use the right tool?"

"That's probably it." Mu Yegui looked down at her little feet and kicked them, as if she were detached and completely out of it.

At this moment, Fisch, who had been watching the show from beside the big radish since the beginning, spoke up. He yawned and asked lazily, "Have you seen any suitable props?"

"A hoe? This is all we have here," Koya said, glancing down at the hoe she had tossed aside.

Fisch didn't say anything more, but instead leaned back against the radish, looking completely nonchalant and indifferent, which made Koya grit her teeth. How could this guy be so relaxed! Doesn't he know what teamwork is?!

“This task won’t be that difficult.” Mu Yegui noticed something from the clues he had found earlier and said to Ke Ya in a low voice, “The fact that it’s limited to five people means there won’t be any deaths. In that case, this rabbit-hunting game should just be rabbit-hunting on the surface. You don’t need to kill the rabbits, you just need to knock them out.”

"Knock out...the head!?" Koya immediately realized what was happening and shouted.

"If it's about hitting the head, you should need a hammer! There are only hoes here!" The man looked doubtful, his eyes full of distrust.

"Isn't there one right here?" Mu Yegui squatted down and gently poked the round radish with his finger. He still had a blank, expressionless face, but his delicate and pretty little face had a touch of cuteness, just like a child pretending to be a mature adult.

"What?" Ke Ya looked at her in confusion as she squatted in front of the radish, looking like a little snowball.

Just as everyone's attention was focused on the radish, a giant rabbit jumped out, this time targeting Mu Yegui.

"Watch out!" Ke Ya watched helplessly as the rabbit drew closer and closer to Mu Yegui, her eyes filled with despair.

'Thump!' The rabbit landed heavily, picking up a cloud of dust that momentarily obscured everyone's view.

At the same time, more rabbits hopped out, similar to the first one but also different, and varying in size.

The smaller ones are only the size of an ordinary rabbit, while the larger ones are a full five meters tall, causing the ground to tremble as soon as they appear.

"Mu Ye Gui!" Ke Ya gritted her teeth, picked up the hoe beside her and started hunting rabbits, but her eyes kept glancing at the spot where the rabbit had landed, trying to find her whereabouts.

"Ah!!" The man mustered up his courage and wanted to join in hunting rabbits, but he was so frightened by the rabbits getting close that he threw down his hoe and scrambled towards Fish.

The latter glanced at him casually, the cold indifference of the azure blue making him freeze in place, not daring to move an inch.

"Damn it! Are you even a man?!" Ke Ya cursed out in anger, completely unable to tolerate it any longer.

She watched the approaching rabbit warily, her face pale and contorted with pain as she gasped for breath. She took several steps back, whether out of fear or something else, it was hard to tell.

After realizing that hitting the rabbit with a hoe wouldn't cause any damage, Koya was somewhat devastated, but because she was still thinking about teamwork, she didn't show the slightest sign of backing down and forced herself to fight the rabbit.
