The Great Xia Dynasty's Longevity Begins with Connecting to the Swallowed Starry Sky

Chapter 396 Xiao Fan, This is how you practice the Great Brahma Prajna.

That evening, Qin Hao did not continue practicing the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

Instead, he revised the Great Brahma Prajna.

According to the original work, these are two completely opposite methods of cultivation.

If we say that the Taiji Xuanqing Dao of the Qingyun Sect is a positive path of cultivation...

Then the Great Brahma Prajna of Tianyin Temple is the reverse practice.

One positive and one negative; the energy cultivated during the day must be consumed at night.

But this is not a wasted effort.

Instead, it is through the interplay of positive and negative forces that the Qi (vital energy) trains the meridians and strengthens the body.

In the original novel, Zhang Xiaofan's cultivation speed increased as the story progressed.

Moreover, their physical strength is extremely high.

This is thanks to the fact that Zhang Xiaofan began practicing Taiji Xuanqing Dao and Dafan Prajna from the very beginning of his cultivation.

Last night, Qin Hao had already cultivated the Taiji Xuanqing Dao to the first level, the peak of Qi Induction.

It can operate for thirty-six cycles at a time.

His next step was to enter the second level of the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

Qi Refining.

The so-called Qi Refining refers to opening up the lower dantian, refining the spiritual energy introduced into the body, and transforming it into primordial essence in the meridians to nourish the whole body. Ordinary people usually complete this process in five years.

Qin Hao's current physical body in this world is already at the peak of the first level of the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

With just a thought, one can break through the first level and step into the second.

Successfully opened up the lower dantian.

However, what Qin Hao needs to do today is not to do the obvious task of opening up the lower dantian.

Instead, it reverses the cultivation of Taiji Xuanqing Dao and operates the Great Brahma Prajna.

After circulating his energy for only one cycle, Qin Hao keenly noticed that he had consumed a significant amount of his own energy.

Although not completely consumed, it vanishes into nothingness.

But it has decreased by about one-third.

"No wonder in the original novel, Zhang Xiaofan cultivated two paths simultaneously, but it only showed that he was a little slower than others. It didn't mean he was completely unable to embark on the journey."

This led Tian Buyi to believe that Zhang Xiaofan's aptitude was indeed extremely poor.

But in reality, although Zhang Xiaofan's aptitude was slightly inferior, it was just as Qin Hao had said.

She must have inner beauty.

Otherwise, he would not be able to unify the two paths and catch up with Du Bishu and others.

It should be known that those who can join the Qingyun Sect are all geniuses.

Even in Dazhu Peak, which has the smallest population, only geniuses are accepted.

The two methods of accepting disciples in Qingyun Sect.

Firstly, if the elders and the chief disciple see outstanding children after descending the mountain, they will bring them back and take them as their disciples.

This is the most diverse source of disciples for the Qingyun Sect to date.

Of course, if someone isn't a genius, who would take a liking to them and bring them back?
Even if it were Tian Buyi, he wouldn't bring him back.

You can tell from Zhang Xiaofan.

If Zhang Xiaofan hadn't been an orphan from Grass Temple Village, he would have been a disciple of the Qingyun Sect.

They couldn't refuse; someone had to accept it.

Tian Buyi will not accept it.

At worst, we can find a village, give them some money, and have them adopted.

Those worldly riches are of no concern to these spiritual practitioners.

Practicing the Great Brahma Prajna is indeed more difficult than the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

"There are probably two reasons for this. First, I am more aligned with Daoist cultivation."

Therefore, my talent and comprehension are even higher in the Taoist tradition, specifically the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

In addition to my original cultivation method, it is even closer to the Taiji Xuanqing Dao, and it also has the help of the Yin-Yang Taiji diagram.

That's why, after just one night, he had already reached the first level of perfection in his cultivation.

But the Great Brahma Prajna is different; it is a method of Buddhist and Taoist practice.

It first requires practitioners to possess Buddha-nature.

This is what is known as Zen.

Qin Hao quickly understood that it was possible to force it to operate, just like Zhang Xiaofan.

"No, I'm even worse than Zhang Xiaofan."

He understands nothing; he only needs to cultivate according to his original intention.

On the contrary, there is a way of following nature that can achieve twice the result with half the effort.

Because I already knew it, I developed a cognitive bias.

So, my cultivation of the Great Brahma Prajna is actually more difficult than Zhang Xiaofan's?

This really left Qin Hao speechless.

"So, sometimes knowing too much isn't a good thing?"

This was exactly as he had thought.

"Then I just need to think of a way to give me what is called Buddha-nature, which is to practice Zen."

Many thoughts immediately flashed through Qin Hao's mind.

But in the end, his thoughts stopped on a certain idea.

"When Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva was practicing the profound Prajnaparamita."

Seeing that the five aggregates are all empty, one transcends all suffering and distress.

Shariputra, form is not different from emptiness.

Emptiness is not different from form; form is emptiness.

That's right, they are Buddhist and Taoist scriptures.

If you want to increase your Buddha-nature, that is, increase your Zen nature, a shortcut is to study Buddhist and Taoist scriptures.

The Heart Sutra is a classic text in both Buddhist and Taoist scriptures.

The meaning of the scripture is also very simple.

Qin Hao could naturally understand it.

Aside from the methods of cultivation, nothing else was directly listed.

It is extremely important and convenient for increasing and understanding one's Buddha-nature.

The meaning of the Heart Sutra is to observe one's inner self and see the Bodhisattva within.

Bodhisattva is a state of mind and a realm of enlightenment.

When one deeply practices the Heart Sutra, one sees that the five aggregates—form, desire, thought, action, and mind—are all empty.

If you do the above, you will be able to put all suffering aside.

The Bodhisattva said to his student Shariputra:
Form is no different from space, and space is no different from form; therefore, form is equal to space.

Space is equal to form; desire, thought, action, and mind are all the same.

Shariputra, all dharmas are empty, neither arising nor ceasing, neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing.

Therefore, space has no form, nor desire, thought, action, or mind.

There are no six sense organs: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind; and no six sense objects: form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and mental objects.

There are no limits that the eyes can see, until there are no limits that the mind can feel.

There is nothing that cannot be understood, nor is there an end to understanding, until there is no old age and no death, nor is there an end to old age and death.

There is no painful accumulation or disillusionment in spiritual practice, and there is no need to force things with wisdom, so whether one obtains something or not is not important.

"This kind of spiritual practice, when you try to understand it, is really tedious."

It looks as if it's trying to convince everyone that everything is an illusion.

All conditioned phenomena are but dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows.

It does have a sense of profound desolation in it.

But they are not exactly the same.

After the Bodhisattva attains enlightenment, according to the Heart Sutra, there are no obstacles in his mind.

Because there are no obstacles, there is no fear; one is far removed from distorted dreams and finally reaches the other shore.

What is this other shore? It is the realm of Buddha.

According to the Heart Sutra, all Buddhas of the past, present, and future attain the three kinds of Buddhahood: unsurpassed, authentic, and perfect enlightenment.

Qin Hao chanted: "Emptiness is form, and so are sensation, perception, volition, and consciousness."

Shariputra, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, neither arising nor ceasing.

Neither defiled nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing.

"Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, no sensation, no perception, no volition, no consciousness, no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, or dharma, no eye-consciousness, and so forth, up to no mind-consciousness. There is no ignorance, nor is there the cessation of ignorance, and so forth, up to no old age and death, nor is there the cessation of old age and death." In Qin Hao's eyes, Buddha-nature was slowly increasing.

Meanwhile, the magical power belonging to the Great Brahma Prajna within the body was also accelerating continuously.

"It really works. It seems that to cultivate a certain technique, one must conform to a certain Daoist principle."

I progressed relatively quickly in cultivating the Taiji Xuanqing Dao because I am a disciple of the Daoist school.

Or rather, I was originally close to Taoism, and I practiced Taoist methods.

I have become much closer to the Taoist classics and their ideas.

Therefore, unconsciously, my cultivation speed in the Taiji Xuanqing Dao will be very fast.

Not to mention, Qin Hao has also inherited the mantle and legacy of Ancestor Qingye.

His cultivation of Taiji Xuanqing Dao was naturally very rapid.

"But now, I recite the Heart Sutra to enhance my Buddha-nature."

Therefore, the speed of my practice of Brahma Prajna accelerated, which also led to an increase in the amount of Qi I had cultivated in Brahma Prajna.

Previously, only one-third of the Qi was digested and integrated into the body and meridians.

So at this moment, it's already halfway there.

If my understanding of the Heart Sutra deepens further, I could even move towards two-thirds of that understanding.

As for completely eliminating it, that's probably unlikely.

The two have different weights, and Qin Hao's understanding of Taoism and Buddhism is also different.

No matter how much Qin Hao studies the Heart Sutra, he can never elevate his understanding of it to the same level as the Dao.

Moreover, studying the Heart Sutra also enhances one's understanding of the Tao.

"Is this another way of saying that different paths lead to the same destination?"

Although Qin Hao dislikes bald monks, he does not dislike Buddhist scriptures.

Although the idea of cultivating Buddhahood for the next life is, in Qin Hao's view, a complete and utter scam.

In reality, neither Buddhism nor Taoism has mastered the six realms of reincarnation.

Therefore, it is impossible to interfere with the afterlife and reincarnation.

At its most fundamental level, both Buddhism and Taoism involve deception.

That is why the Buddha Ksitigarbha entered hell.

That's how the Yinshan Mountains rose up from the ground.

However, this also infringed upon the interests of the Taoist sect, so the World-Honored One Ksitigarbha was not allowed to leave Yinshan.

Even so, the World-Honored One Ksitigarbha only slightly interfered with the authority of reincarnation.

As for controlling reincarnation, that's impossible.

Even Empress Pingxin wouldn't agree.

Yesterday I completed a full cycle of Qi circulation, and it will take another 15 minutes.

Today, after three cycles, it has only taken two quarters of an hour.

Undoubtedly, Qin Hao has made great progress.

But nobody knows.

Tian Buyi and the others were not here, and they were unaware that Qin Hao's cultivation had actually progressed to the point of cultivating two paths simultaneously.

"Next, we need to cultivate ourselves and strive to develop combat capabilities as soon as possible so that we can go down the mountain."

Also.

Qin Hao thought, "Perhaps I can try to summon my past and future selves and then collect the five volumes of the Heavenly Book."

The first volume, the general outline of the Heavenly Book, should be located in the Dripping Blood Cave.

Qin Hao planned to have his past self retrieve it after a few days.

As for how Zhang Xiaofan and Biyao will recognize each other later.

Qin Hao didn't think much of it.

Why think so much?

As for their cultivation, we can simply let them participate in the first volume of the Heavenly Book later.

Qin Hao is not an arrogant or domineering person.

As Qin Hao's beloved junior brother, Zhang Xiaofan's desire to learn this technique is not entirely unacceptable.

It was probably around midnight when Qin Hao opened his eyes.

"Although it did not achieve the full success, it probably only ran for about 20 cycles."

However, since the Taiji Xuanqing Dao has already laid the foundation, there is no need to consider the imperfections of the Great Brahma Prajna.

Anyway, he had no intention of actually converting to Buddhism or Taoism, and did not want to fall into the same predicament as his enemy.

He originally firmly believed in martial arts and immortality.

As for Buddhism and Taoism, they can be used as a reference only.

"I need to circulate the Taiji Xuanqing Dao again and cultivate my Qi to perfection. Otherwise, Tian Buyi and Su Ru will be able to see through my disguise."

He didn't have Zhang Xiaofan's incredibly poor aptitude to be watching over him.

Qin Hao felt that if he were exposed, Tian Buyi and the others would definitely become suspicious.

So, should we continue to dedicate ourselves to Taiji Xuanqing Dao?

Qin Hao thought for a while before realizing that he absolutely could not let the aura of the Great Brahma Prajna be exposed.

He practiced for another hour, completing 12 cycles of circulation.

He felt his body's magical power replenished once again, and even those top practitioners of the thirty-six cycles of cultivation were no match for him.

Qin Hao opened his eyes, sensed the energy circulating within his body, and immediately smiled: "Sure enough, my genetic level has improved significantly without me even realizing it."

"Then, next, we should go see Zhang Xiaofan."

If Qin Hao remembers correctly, Zhang Xiaofan's education was taken over by his senior brother, Song Daren.

"Now, Senior Brother must be in a bit of a mess, right?"

Previously, Song Daren was eager to take on this job.

Because you can catch fish while swimming.

After all, besides teaching his junior brother.

He has free time to use as he pleases.

But because of Qin Hao's arrival, Song Daren and the others were inspired to work hard.

However, this thought did not last long.

Song Daren and the others wanted to take a breather and rest.

But how could Tian Buyi let them end like this?

Regardless of background, one should leave something behind.

Qin Hao shook his head, still able to sense Tian Buyi's stalemate with Song Daren and the others.

"Master, do you really believe that this is my true aptitude for cultivation?"

In fact, he had never seen his own actual experiment.

When Qin Hao arrived at Zhang Xiaofan's house, he found that Song Daren had already left.

At this moment, Qin Hao was cultivating the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

This is a martial art belonging to the Qingyun Sect.

At that time, the monk Puzhi instructed him to cultivate the Taiji Xuanqing Dao.

After all, one must first master the Taiji Xuanqing Dao in order to gain a foothold in the Qingyun Sect.

After that, as long as you keep it secret, others will not easily expose your cultivation secrets.

If it weren't for Qin Hao, an outsider, Zhang Xiaofan might have actually been able to hide until the moment Biyao died for him.

But now, Qin Hao is here.

It's destined that Zhang Xiaofan, your stories cannot continue on their original trajectory.

Wouldn't that mean all my efforts would have been in vain?
"Looks like I need to go and give Junior Brother Zhang Xiaofan a good talking-to?"

Just then, Zhang Xiaofan completed his first cycle of cultivation.

He was also somewhat surprised, wondering why his cultivation speed didn't seem that slow.

Of course, he didn't know that Qin Hao had completed thirty-six cycles of cultivation in one night.

This news is really overwhelming.
"Then, the next step is to try practicing the Great Brahma Prajna."

Zhang Xiaofan took out the Bloodthirsty Bead, looked it over from all angles, but couldn't discern any details.

"What exactly is this bead? Hmm? Why do I feel that the aura emanating from this bamboo is so strange?"

When he first received the beads, he was only slightly upset.

However, after being bestowed upon it by the monk Puzhi, the bead obviously encountered some kind of stress.

"No, I must quickly begin cultivating the Great Brahma Prajna Sutra. This can suppress the Bloodthirsty Bead." (End of Chapter)
