Hong Kong variety show: I Am a Tycoon
Chapter 321 Legendary Showdown
"Boss, here's some intelligence from Hong Kong."
In the middle of the night, Yaqi ran to Chen Jiajun's suite and knocked on Chen Jiajun's door.
Chen Jiajun, wearing a bathrobe, came out, took the document, and began to read it carefully.
Yachi added from the side, "It has been confirmed that the other party is definitely an agent of some organization. He has his eye on an assassin and wants to extract a 'list' from him."
"The most interesting thing is that among the assassin's belongings, this agent found a chip that was the same as the one we got from the intelligence dealer."
"Identical chips?"
Chen Jiajun said with some surprise, "So that means the assassin took the mission from Macau?"
Yaqi nodded: "Very likely. This agent should be heading towards Macau soon. According to the intelligence from my men, this agent is very vigilant. They almost got detected several times while tracking him, so they dare not get too close."
"Oh?" Chen Jiajun said with amusement, "Able to detect your subordinates? That's not something an ordinary person can do."
There weren't many people Chen Jiajun could think of who could be a tough opponent for them all.
However, there is only one that is associated with England.
That's MI6's legendary agent 007.
After thinking for a moment, Chen Jiajun said, "This is getting more and more interesting. Keep a close eye on him and see what he does, but be careful not to alert him."
"Understood, boss," Yachi nodded and said.
On the other hand, Bond failed to grasp his target and even alerted the enemy.
So the identities of the five MI6 agents were released online the following day.
Mrs. M immediately contacted her subordinates: "Tanner, they have already sent out five names. They have been exposed and are in danger. Get them out of here immediately."
After the call ended, the video call was coming to a close, and the other party left a provocative comment.
“Five will be announced each week; think about the crimes you have committed.”
Mrs. M's face was grim; MI6 was now in an extremely dangerous situation.
In the past few days, high-ranking government officials have come to hold people accountable more than once because of this incident.
If it weren't for Mrs. M's numerous allies within the government and her lifelong service to MI6...
She's probably already been arrested by now.
However, the current situation is not much better than being arrested; MI6 is almost in a state of semi-paralysis.
Her men are constantly on guard against the other side releasing the list of agents and have to deal with crises, so they can't be mobilized at all. The only person she can rely on now is Bond, the field agent who is investigating this matter.
Meanwhile, Bond had already quietly left Hong Kong and arrived in Macau by cruise ship.
Based on the casino name on the chip, Bond easily found the Golden Dragon Casino that issued the chip.
The casino had a very tacky name and its decor was opulent and glittering.
After arriving at the casino, he first spoke with his assistant, then went to the chip exchange area and handed over the chips in his hand: "I want to exchange them for cash."
The receptionist paused for a moment after seeing the chip, then nodded and said, "Please wait a moment, sir."
As Bond turned to wait, he scanned the entire casino and suddenly spotted a graceful figure on the second floor.
And this woman is the same mysterious woman Bond saw a few days ago when he stopped the assassin.
The woman was surrounded by numerous bodyguards, suggesting she held a high position of power.
Just as Bond was pondering this, two bodyguards from the casino brought him a box.
"You look good tonight, sir," a bodyguard said to Bond with a smile.
Bond took the box, opened it, and saw neatly stacked stacks of euros inside. Then someone brought over some chips.
"Thank you." Bond nodded in acknowledgment, then walked toward a gambling table.
Just then, the mysterious woman walked over and said to Bond, "Can I have a drink?"
Bond smiled when he saw the beautiful woman in front of him: "Perhaps more than one cup. I estimate I have four million euros in my hand."
The woman didn't speak, then looked at the gambling table and said with a double meaning, "Not bad, I like this game."
"Would you like to try something else?" Bond asked with a smile.
The woman shook her head: "I don't gamble, and I'm not very lucky."
"Like that friend we met in Hong Kong?" Bond asked tentatively.
The woman immediately laughed: "I've been looking forward to seeing who will redeem these chips. Your entrance was quite a grand affair."
Bond laughed and said, "Have I made the plot too complicated?"
"Who doesn't like a dramatic plot? What's your name?" the woman asked with a smile.
"Bond, James Bond."
“Severin,” Severin leaned closer to Bond and said, “Mr. Bond, how about we finish this drink and then talk about your next performance?”
“I’d love to,” Bond said with a smile, then looked behind him and asked, “Are your friends coming too?”
Severin's expression was somewhat abnormal, then he nodded and said, "Yes, I'm afraid we have no choice but to come."
Bond smiled and then followed Severin.
"She's beautiful, probably your type," came the assistant's teasing voice through the earpiece.
Bond smiled and then took off his headphones.
After the two sat down, Severin asked, "Do you mind if I ask you a question?"
"That depends on what the problem is."
“It’s related to death,” Severin said meaningfully.
Bond smiled and said, "That seems to be a topic you're quite good at."
"How so?" Severin asked Bond with a smile, a cigarette dangling from his lips.
“There’s only one type of woman who would wear a backless evening gown with a Beretta Point pistol strapped to her thigh,” Bond said, raising an eyebrow.
Severin retorted, "You should always be careful when dealing with a handsome guy in a tuxedo carrying a Walther pistol."
"So, if I wasn't mistaken, you killed Barthelris?"
Bond nodded in agreement with Severin's question: "Yes."
"May I ask why?" Severin asked, looking puzzled.
Bond cut to the chase and said, "I want to see your employer."
Severin's face immediately darkened, and he warned, "Watch what you're about to do."
"Are you scared?" Bond pressed on.
Severin didn't answer, but instead stood up and said, "Thank you for the drink." But then Bond grabbed Severin and said, "Your acting is good, but ever since we sat down, you've been staring at your bodyguards. Three bodyguards are a bit too many, aren't they? They're controlling you, not protecting you, aren't they?"
"The tattoo on your hand, is that the mark of a stable here in Macau? You're a high-class child prostitute, how old were you when you started? Twelve or thirteen? I'm guessing he helped you buy your freedom?"
"Perhaps you loved him before? But that must have been a long time ago, right? Now you probably only feel fear towards him. Severin, I can help you."
Severin suddenly laughed maniacally: "Can you kill him?"
"Perhaps," Bond said, not giving a definitive answer.
“You should be able to kill him,” Severin muttered to himself, then looked up at Bond and said, “Once I leave, his bodyguards will kill you. If you manage to escape, come find me on the Chimera, in the northern port, berth number seven. We’ll set sail in an hour.”
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Bond. Best of luck."
After saying that, Severin got up and left.
Bond didn't say much and continued to eat his martini.
After finishing his drink, he picked up the box containing the money and prepared to leave.
But just then, Severin's three bodyguards caught up, intending to make their move when Bond came out.
But how could Bond, who had learned the news from Severin beforehand, sit idly by and wait for his doom?
They immediately took the initiative and struck first.
Although Bond's hand-to-hand combat skills are only so-so, he has no problem dealing with a few small fry.
After dealing with the bodyguards, they quietly infiltrated the Chimera that Severin had mentioned.
Late at night, in Chen Jiajun's suite.
Yachi is constantly gathering information from his subordinates.
He suddenly slammed his hand on the table, stood up, and said to Chen Jiajun, "I've got it, boss."
Chen Jiajun put down his wine glass speechlessly: "Don't make a fuss, I heard everything. It really is that legendary British MI6 agent James Bond."
"It seems Silva is after MI6. He even managed to find a list of MI6 spies around the world. This has taught that old hag Mrs. M a good lesson."
Yachi added, "No wonder we couldn't find any trace of Silva's influence in Macau. This guy has all his assets tied up in this Severin woman."
"Unfortunately, this woman he trusted brought him trouble."
Chen Jiajun shook his head and said, "What you see is only the surface. How do you know that Silva didn't deliberately let Severin lure Bond here?"
"Huh?" Yachi was stunned.
Hearing Chen Jiajun's statement, it seems that it's not impossible.
Putting everything else aside, even Chen Jiajun's men had faced Silva before.
I know perfectly well how difficult this guy is.
How could Silva's whereabouts be found through a woman like Severin? That cunning, slippery fellow was so easily tracked down to his lair?
This is clearly an unscientific thing.
Therefore, there is a high probability that this Severin is a trap.
After thinking for a moment, Yaqi said to Chen Jiajun, "Boss, shall we continue?"
“Of course, why not?” Chen Jiajun said with a smile. “Although I don’t know what his plans are, it’s time to teach a guy like Silva a lesson. Maybe we can also kill that legendary agent while we’re at it.”
"In that case, those English folks will probably have a real headache. Hahaha."
At this point, Chen Jiajun burst into laughter, laughing like a mastermind behind the scenes.
Chen Jiajun would naturally not let such a big deal slip by.
……
"This route seems to be heading away from the waters off Haojiang."
Looking at the course of the Chimera, Archie frowned and said to Chen Jiajun, "We have locators on board."
Chen Jiajun, however, remained remarkably calm: "It's obvious that their base isn't in Macau. What's the big deal?"
Nothing happened that night. Early the next morning, Yaqi suddenly had a thought and woke up Chen Jiajun, who was lying on the sofa: "Boss, the Chimera has stopped. It seems to be an abandoned island."
Chen Jiajun came to his senses: "An uninhabited island? Which country does it belong to?"
"It seems to be from Japan. I'll go ask the captain." Archie wasn't sure either, so he immediately ran off to ask the captain.
He quickly returned and told Chen Jiajun, "It's an island in Japan called Hashima. Apparently, after an accident, no one lived on this island anymore, but the specifics aren't clear. However, this island has been uninhabited for years, and even Japan doesn't really care about it."
"They're really cunning, choosing such a place," Chen Jiajun said, shaking his head.
Yaqi said to Chen Jiajun, "If this island really is Silva's lair, we'll definitely be discovered if we get too close."
Their large fishing boat was quite conspicuous.
Chen Jiajun stroked his chin and asked, "How far is it from here to Hashima Island?"
"It shouldn't be too far," Archie said after a moment's thought. "Shall we take a speedboat?"
Chen Jiajun nodded and said, "Let's take a speedboat directly. We'll have the captain bring it back to shore in an hour."
Yachi nodded: "I'll go and inform the captain immediately."
Meanwhile, Bond and Severin had already entered the port.
Standing at the bow of the ship, Severin said calmly, "It's not too late to regret it now."
As they spoke, Silva's men surrounded them, guns in hand.
Bond, however, said nonchalantly, "I don't think so."
After the group landed on the island, Bond and Severin were taken into custody and forced to walk through the abandoned city.
It's clear that this area used to have a large population.
Severin said calmly, “Everyone fled overnight. He made them think there was a chemical leak at the plant here. I never imagined that a single computer could create such panic. He wants the island; it’s his now.”
Bond listened silently to Severin's story, then asked, "Does he always manage to get what he wants?"
"You can't imagine how sorry I am."
Before Severin could finish speaking, the two were separated by Silva's men.
Those men led Severin to a square, while Bond was taken into a room.
The room was filled with all sorts of computers and some strange equipment, clearly indicating that the organization was larger than Bond had imagined.
Just as Bond was wondering who it was, a tall man in a white suit walked over.
This guy is Silva, the one who orchestrated this whole series of events. (End of Chapter)
