Chapter 1200 The Affection Between Siblings

Chapter 1200 The Affection Between Siblings
Kournikova was kicked out by her grandmother again, who told her to hurry up and that she wanted to see the abandoned city.

The reason was simply because he said, "It's unfair."

Grandma Wen said, "We're here to keep you company, and you don't even treat us well, yet you complain about unfairness?"

When Kournikova came out, Mercedes was having a blast in the mini-world, refusing to come out and join her, because he had found a large herd of cattle.

Kournikova was dismayed to find that she had to walk. Holding a bullwhip, she walked step by step. A large house appeared in front of her. Kournikova thought back and wondered why she hadn't seen it before. She was sure she had been here before.

Kournikova walked slowly, step by step. There was a ditch, a small bridge, and on the other side of the bridge, a stone path led straight to the front of the house. On both sides of the stone path was black soil, with nothing on it.

Kournikova's first impression was of the cemetery's layout. Surely a few chrysanthemums should be planted in a cemetery? Kournikova crossed the small bridge and went directly to the front of the house. There was a plaque above it with the words "Yue Kingdom" written in the script of the Qian Yuan Continent.

Kournikova thought for a moment, "A dilapidated house daring to call itself a country? Is it trying to die fast enough? There must be a deeper meaning." Kournikova felt that the second character of "crossing over" was a typo.

She turned and ran. As she did, the ground trembled, confirming her suspicions. She leaped into the air and headed towards the main road. Just then, a shout rang out behind her, "Kid, why are you running?"

Kournikova sped up even faster, but unfortunately, she flew back again and stood in front of the house. The door opened, and an old man came out, looking like a hermit.

He asked softly, "Why are you running? You stole a ginseng root from me, and I didn't even look for you. Why are you running away?"

Kournikova suddenly remembered that the thousand-year-old ginseng was found in this area.

Kournikova said, "Sir, you know me. I apologize for any offense caused by this being my first visit. I'll be leaving now."

After Kournikova finished speaking, she turned around and tried to fly away, but the old man said, "Wait a minute, you owe me a ginseng root. Trying to run away? You can't leave without me saying anything."

After an incense stick had burned, Kournikova said angrily, "What? The ginseng is gone. What do you want?"

"Son, where's your ox?" the old man asked.

Kournikova's eyes darted around as she said, "If I give you the cow, will I leave?"

"No, it's that I want to follow you like an ox," the old man said.

Kova was stunned and confused. She immediately released Linglong and Daben. Daben came out drooling over the old man.

Linglong asked excitedly, "Where did you find this ten-thousand-year-old ginseng spirit?"

Kournikova understood that this was a ginseng spirit with martial arts skills superior to hers, who wanted to leave this ruined land.

He said with a grin, "Why are you coming with me? You'll need at least two thousand-year-old ginseng roots."

With a wave of his hand, the ginseng spirit produced a thousand-year-old ginseng, covering hundreds of acres. Kuva was dumbfounded and instantly placed them into the small world.

Kournikova calmed down. Something seemed off about the matter. Kournikova brought out the old ginseng again. The old ginseng was reluctant. He had just found a place to store his descendants when he was brought out himself.

"Old Ginseng, why did you come to me?" Kournikova asked seriously.

"If I don't look for you, who else should I look for? You're the only living person here," the old ginseng said irritably.

Kournikova looked at him and said, "Then how do you know I can take you away?"

"I don't know, you're the one who told me, Kournikova, what happened to you?" the old ginseng asked.

Kournikova realized that her craving for ginseng had exposed her little world. She said fiercely, "You can't tell anyone about my little world, or I'll stew you like a chicken."

The old ginseng was bewildered and said, "If you hadn't called me, I wouldn't have been able to come out. Who am I supposed to talk to?"

Kournikova was taken aback, then said, "I'll give you a flock of hens to keep you company and remind you of things all the time."

So, the small world built a ginseng garden on the opposite bank of the manor river, and next to it was a mansion with a plaque that read "Hen Garden".

"Old Ginseng, why is your country called Yue?" Kuva asked the old ginseng, who had already returned to the small world, out of boredom.

The old ginseng replied, "I've been from the Yue Kingdom since I was a child. That's our paradise. As we grew up, generation after generation, we all called ourselves the Yue Kingdom. Where are you from?"

Kournikova paused for a moment, then said, "Everywhere I look is my home."

"So what if you're a wanderer? Why make it sound so tragic?" Old Shen's voice came from behind.

Annoyed, Kournikova shut down the connection to the small world and set off again on her own. This time, she didn't look to either side and headed straight for the abandoned city. As the sun was about to set, a magnificent city stood before her, ten thousand meters away.

Kournikova sensed the bloodthirsty beasts around him; to enter the city, he would have to pass through this pack of wild animals surrounding it.

Last time, he couldn't get through. He killed a few giant wolves and ran away, mainly because the beasts were too ferocious. This time, he has to find a way to get in.

Kournikova teleported back to the small world, back to the manor, and saw a harmonious scene in the front yard.

A large round table was set with the delicious food he had prepared. Grandma Wen, Second Grandma, Old Ginseng, Ugly Girl, and Linglong sat around it, eating, drinking, chatting, and laughing.

The Mercedes isn't there; it's frolicking among the cattle, where it reigns supreme.

Kournikova felt miserable. She walked to the table, poured herself a glass of wine, picked up her chopsticks, and started eating.

Grandma Wen asked with concern, "Not going well?"

"Good luck, we've reached the outskirts of the city. This city is called Border Town." Kourva grabbed a large chicken leg and took a big bite.

“We all know it’s called Border Town,” Ugly Girl said while eating.

Kournikova was stunned when she heard that.

“There are many ferocious beasts on the outer perimeter, in three layers: giant wolves, giant deer, and giant bears,” Linglong said.

"The giant wolf lures you with blood, the giant deer with grass, and the giant bear with sweets," said the second grandmother, taking a sip of wine.

Kova choked on the chicken leg, coughing violently before spitting it out. He understood, and suddenly looked at the old ginseng; this old guy knew everything.

"Okay, what else do you know?" Kournikova looked at the old man.

Old Ginseng took a sip of wine and said, "I don't know much. I only know about this area. That city is deserted. Everyone has moved away. Oh, forced to. There was no food left in the city."

“That’s not right. Aren’t there rice paddies on both sides of the road? At worst, we could kill some wolves or something,” Kournikova said.

“You think there aren’t any? But they’ve killed far more people,” the old ginseng said.

Kournikova fell silent. Yes, they couldn't kill them all; they'd only exhaust themselves first. Leaving was the best option.

Linglong whispered while lying on Kova's lap, "Grandpa said that the pawnshops, money shops, and warehouses in the city haven't been touched, and there are a lot of rare treasures inside."

Kova's eyes lit up, and Grandma Wen asked, "Kova, what is a spirit stone?"

Kournikova feigned ignorance, saying, "I don't know, and I've never seen it before."

Second Grandma, her eyes blurry with drunkenness, said, "Da Ben gave your grandma a bag of spirit stones, and then cried out twelve times, a very pitiful cry."

Kuva understood. Big Ben couldn't speak, but that didn't stop it from complaining. Helpless, it awkwardly took out twelve bags of spirit stones from its storage ring.

Grandma Wen said meaningfully, "Kova, you need to set a good example for your sisters. Why are you hiding money?"

“Grandma, those are spirit stones, not money,” Kournikova said.

Ugly Girl, hands on her hips, said, "This is money. Linglong has already said it, and you're still trying to deny it."

With a dejected look on her face, Kournikova looked at her grandmother and cried, "Grandma, I'm your eldest grandson! You're not leaving me a single penny?"

"Hurry up and eat, then prepare your food. I'm going out too," Grandma Wen said decisively.

Kournikova began a whirlwind liquidation operation, which made Ugly Girl jump up and down in a panic, Linglong was eating while lying on the table, Old Ginseng had disappeared, and Second Grandma was snoring under the table.

After finishing her meal, Kuva went to prepare the food. She would use pig's blood for the blood and spirit herbs for the herbs, and she would pull up all the herbs from Daben's place. As for desserts, that was easy; she knew how to make them herself, so she would make a cream cake.

After working all night, Kournikova went to sleep.

I woke up the next day, full of energy and ready to get to work, but when I got to the kitchen, I exclaimed, "Where's my blood? Where's my shit? Where's my cream cake?"

A pitiful scream echoed throughout the manor.
