Extracting skills from movies
Chapter 794 Going Crazy
In the presidential suite, Heidi and Miranda were high-fiving each other in celebration.
Du Sheng had already slumped onto the sofa and closed his eyes to rest.
Leonardo DiCaprio's snoring came from next door, penetrating the wall;
Toby mumbled "Nurse, be gentle" in his dream, his sleep talking even more exciting than reality.
After resting for three hours, Du Sheng washed up and decided to go downstairs to the restaurant to fill her stomach.
As for Leonardo and Toby?
In their words, these three days of torment were like purgatory, and they didn't even know if they would wake up tomorrow.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, they bumped into Carolina, Isabelle, and Angela, who were looking at the menu with a troubled expression.
Isabel beckoned him over, holding a newspaper and asking curiously:
"The report says you not only had an affair with Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron, but you also got along well?"
Do you think it's possible?
As Du Sheng sliced his medium-rare steak, he answered slowly:
"It's like if I were dating all three of you at the same time, could you accept me being a teacher like I was on the island?"
The three supermodels exchanged glances, and Angela suddenly burst out laughing:
"If you could let us play paintball in a helicopter, maybe we could consider it."
Du Sheng forked a piece of steak, put it in his mouth, and chewed it with a crunching sound.
"no problem.
Next time we have a party, let's have an 'aerial training camp'!
Isabel raised an eyebrow:
"You're not planning some kind of crazy scheme again, are you?"
Du Sheng smiled and raised his glass:
"You're all curious, aren't you? I'll let you try living together peacefully."
Angela rolled her eyes:
"That's a bit difficult! A serious relationship requires complete devotion, like Miranda's fiancé treats her."
Carolina was squeezing black pepper onto her steak when she heard this and looked up to interject:
"You know how stressful our line of work is."
Spending all day at the gym, my hormones are building up like a volcano; I need to release them occasionally to prevent an explosion and keep things sweet with my partner, right?
Du Sheng had a lot to complain about but didn't know how to express it, so he sighed:
"Actors face a lot of pressure too."
Isabel smiled and whispered in his ear:
"Wasn't this a liberation of body and mind?"
Du Sheng smiled and said:
"You guys worked together really well this time. You really let go of the pressure that had been building up for the past six months. You'll definitely be back at full strength when you get back to work."
Angela laughed, resting her chin on her hand; her mascara cast small, fan-shaped shadows under her eyes.
"How about... we try dating?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Carolina slammed her hand on the table and stood up:
"Angela, you're ruthless! You want to privatize public resources?"
Believe it or not, the ladies will strip you naked and hang you on the Times Square screen!
Du Sheng almost spat out his lemonade, coughing and waving his hand:
"Carolina, calm down..."
"Sorry, Du!"
The blonde supermodel hurriedly sat down, her earrings jingling as she did so.
"I was just using an analogy, I didn't mean anything by it."
Angela, biting her straw and pouting, knew the idea was hopeless, then blinked her blue eyes and acted coquettishly:
"If I go to China, you'll have to be my tour guide."
Du Sheng thought of the mountain of invitations piled up in his closet and slapped his thigh:
"Alright! I'll take you to explore all five major mountains of China, and you can meet producers and directors anytime you want!"
Carolina immediately squeezed in:
"Me too! I want to be on Phoenix TV's Spring Festival Gala!"
Du Sheng laughed, knowing they were just joking:
"Sure, I'm fine with anything, even walking the runway."
As he was talking, his phone vibrated, and Leonardo slurred into the receiver:
"The bar next door! Right now! That son of a bitch Toby is chugging tequila like it's water!"
After paying the bill, Du Sheng got up and walked towards the elevator. Isabel, Angela, and Carolina followed like little tails, chattering all the way.
They met Ma Yaowei at the corner of the lobby.
Du Sheng nodded towards the three angels:
"You go first, I'll follow later."
After they swayed and disappeared at the bar entrance, Du Sheng turned to ask Ma Yaowei:
"How are the talks with Boucheron going?"
Ma Yaowei pulled a contract out of his briefcase; his glasses gleamed under the light.
"A two-year contract, seven million US dollars a year,"
The other party was eager to run ads before the Super Bowl and even offered to sponsor the caravan for the How to Train Your Dragon premiere.
Du Sheng stroked his chin and pondered:
"Let Boucheron talk to Haders or CAA directly; we won't get involved."
He paused:
"You can handle this; I don't need to get involved."
Watching Ma Yaowei's retreating figure as he dialed the phone, Du Sheng suddenly remembered Tony's terrible condition and gave him an instruction:
"Oh, right, I'll find a masseuse later!"
Ma Yaowei waved without turning his head:
"Understood! I'll arrange it right away."
.........
Century City, CAA Headquarters Building.
That day, as soon as Haders stepped out of the elevator, before he even reached his office door, he saw Elizabeth Olsen and her agent, Emery, standing in front of his office.
Aimer, with her sharp eyes, spotted Hades and quickly went to greet him, smiling as she said:
"Thanks to you so much this time, you've been a great help!"
The Zombieland crew just called and said Elizabeth should audition in full costume.
"As long as her acting skills are up to par, this role is almost certainly hers!"
Upon hearing this, Elizabeth immediately took two steps forward, her face filled with undisguised excitement and gratitude:
"Mr. Haders, thank you so much."
"Hey, don't be so polite with me."
Haders waved his hand, knowing perfectly well that this whole affair was ultimately thanks to the person behind it all, and deliberately mentioned it:
"This was all specifically instructed by Du Sheng."
Emery nodded immediately:
"I'll have to thank Du Sheng in person later."
Elizabeth's lips curled slightly upward as she muttered softly:
"So it was Brother Sheng who arranged this..."
She recalled her failed audition a while ago and how she returned from the film set dejectedly, wondering why Du Sheng hadn't taken the initiative to ask her out like he usually did.
Although Du Sheng made several phone calls, he never mentioned meeting up.
So he'd been helping out behind the scenes all along!
Emerald didn't hear the second half of her sentence, so she leaned forward and asked:
"What are you talking about?"
Elizabeth smiled sweetly:
"I've known Du Sheng for almost a year now, so I'll thank him in person."
Upon arriving at the studio for Zombieland, the audition went incredibly quickly.
Elizabeth quickly signed the acting contract, finally landing her first proper film role.
This is a low-budget film that Warner Bros. invested 30 million in, and the role she auditioned for was called Vesta.
A female con artist who makes a living with her younger sister amidst hordes of zombies. She appears cold on the surface but is actually soft-hearted, making her a rather challenging character.
"A female con artist?"
Elizabeth touched her face, wondering to herself why this character seemed a bit strange.
How about we go over the scenes with Du Sheng beforehand?
"Let's call Brother Sheng first to thank him."
As she thought this, she took out her phone and dialed Du Sheng's number.
The call connected quickly, and Du Sheng's voice came through:
"Hey?"
"Brother Sheng! It's me~ Are you free later? I'd like to invite you to lunch~"
Du Sheng smiled:
"Where do you want to go when you have time?"
“A new restaurant opened on Figueroa Street, I heard it’s really good!” Elizabeth gave the address clearly:
Are you coming?
"Okay, see you at the restaurant at 12 o'clock."
After hanging up the phone, Elizabeth's steps became lighter. She hopped on her electric scooter and was about to leave when she turned back and called to her agent:
"Emmel, hurry up!"
Emery waved his hand:
"You go first, I have something to do."
The electric scooter sped off and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
On the other side, next to Toby's mansion,
Du Sheng was swinging his golf club when he swung it, and the ball flew dozens of meters away, crashing into someone else's wall with a "bang".
Leonardo laughed so hard he slapped his thigh:
"Haha, you think this is a boxing match?!"
Du Sheng put the golf club on the ground, took out ten dollars and handed it to Leonardo:
"I am willing to admit defeat."
Toby patted him on the shoulder:
"You've made great progress. With a few more tries, you'll definitely succeed."
Just as Du Sheng was about to strike up a conversation, she suddenly heard a noise, turned her head to look at the mansion on the other side of Toby's house, and quickly changed the subject:
"Someone's moved into Jim Carrey's house?"
Toby pouted:
"I guess they're moving. That house was sold two years ago."
Alimony payments and lawsuits involving his children have drained Jim Carrey's savings. He even mortgaged his copyrights to secure a large bank loan, and ultimately lost his union share. Now he's barely scraping by on basic union benefits.
Du Sheng nodded:
"Don't end up like him."
Leonardo pointed to Toby's neighbor on the other side, his eyes lighting up:
"Of course, if we're going to learn from someone, we should learn from Clint!"
Du Sheng scoffed:
"So you're thinking of becoming the 'marriage candidate' in the 'cool and carefree group'?"
Leonardo then realized what was happening.
Clint recently married a young model, and quickly changed his tune:
"Clint five years ago!"
He glanced sideways at Du Sheng, deliberately making sarcastic remarks:
"Aren't you considering buying Jim Carrey's house?"
Your place is too small; there's barely enough room to move around even if you throw a big party.
"With the current financial crisis, we'll postpone the idea of moving to a new house."
Du Sheng raised his wrist and glanced at his watch:
That's all for today, I have an appointment for lunch.
Toby immediately chimed in:
"I'm listening, aren't you going to take the two of us to join in the fun?"
With us here to help, we guarantee your wishes will come true!
Leonardo put his arm around Du Sheng's shoulder and joked with a grin:
"Are you so busy chasing girls that you've forgotten about your brothers?"
He went off on a date, leaving the two of us here to stare at each other?"
Toby rolled his eyes at him, then put on his coat and walked out.
"Could Du Sheng be that kind of person?"
"Let's go, don't waste time, let's get there quickly!"
Du Sheng knew these two rascals were going to cause trouble, and said irritably:
"They agreed it was a date, so we can't bring extra people."
He didn't want to bring those two troublemakers along to cause more problems.
"If I really need help, I'll call you first."
Toby and Leonardo exchanged a glance, then shook their heads with smiles:
"Alright, alright, I'll give you some space."
But remember, if you can't handle it, call us anytime for backup!
Du Sheng smiled, waved his hand, and turned to leave.
Leonardo's loud pronouncements are just for show.
Toby, however, didn't take it seriously at all.
They both knew that if they really went to cause trouble, Du Sheng would definitely do something like buying ten boxes of fireworks and setting them off at their date!
Before leaving, Du Sheng didn't forget to give Bi a final piece of advice:
"Don't forget the good things we did before. Now that things are in such a sensitive situation, let's keep the party low-key."
Toby nodded repeatedly:
"Got it! Let's get together again when your 'How to Train Your Dragon' movie comes out."
Du Sheng didn't linger any longer and called Ma Yaowei as he walked.
When he arrived at the villa entrance, Ma Yaowei's car was parked there perfectly.
Du Sheng got into the car, gave the address, and added:
"Take a few detours on the road, keep a close eye on them, and don't let those two rascals sneak up on us."
As soon as the car drove out of the gate, Ma Yaowei did indeed follow his instructions and circled around several intersections.
Only after confirming that there was no trace of him in the rearview mirror did he feel relieved enough to drive towards Figueroa Street.
Du Sheng didn't spot the tail, but he did see the small truck that had been in Jim Carrey's yard earlier turn into an intersection and head south.
He suddenly remembered Leonardo's previous boast about wanting to move to a bigger house and throw parties, and said:
"Yao Wei, do you think we should consider moving to a bigger house?"
Ma Yaowei asked as he drove:
"What's wrong, Brother Sheng? Do you think that place is too 'conservative'?"
Du Sheng leaned back in his chair and chuckled:
"The main problem is the lack of space, and the fact that it's easy for paparazzi to stake out the area."
Ma Yaowei suddenly remembered something:
"By the way, Pete has reached an agreement with those who sued him; he'll have to pay a large sum of money."
He's really strapped for cash right now; he's put several of his properties up for sale.
Du Sheng joked with a smile:
"If you keep targeting him, don't drive him crazy."
However, these words stirred something within him, and he said thoughtfully:
"I remember Pitt had a mansion in Beverly Hills, didn't he?"
Ma Yaowei knows everything about Pitt:
"you do not say!
He bought that house a few years ago for $1500 million, and then spent tens of millions more on renovations, so it's practically a complete rebuild now.
I heard it was his premarital property, and he still lives alone.
Du Sheng became somewhat interested:
"I see... Then you should tell the Ophiuchus to keep a close eye on things."
In case he needs to cash out someday, we need to know immediately.
Ma Yaowei was amused:
“You’ve gone to such lengths to help him sell the house, shouldn’t he be ‘sincerely’ grateful to you?”
Du Sheng laughed heartily, his face completely serious:
"If he's really in a hurry to sell, let's give him a hand."
It's fine if you don't want to sell; we won't pressure you.
The car quickly turned into the shopping district of Rue Figueroa and stopped in front of a rather stylish French restaurant.
As soon as Du Sheng got out of the car and entered the restaurant, before he could even find a seat, he saw Elizabeth Olsen, dressed in a white dress, rushing towards him like a little white butterfly.
"Brother Sheng! You're finally here!"
Her smile was like the spring sunshine, and the dress accentuated her graceful figure and vibrant energy.
Du Sheng smiled and took out his phone, waving it around.
"The moment your phone rings, I rush out even with my shoes on the wrong feet, afraid you'll be waiting impatiently."
Elizabeth smiled sweetly and pulled Du Sheng towards a quiet booth in the corner.
As soon as she sat down, she eagerly moved to sit opposite him, sitting upright as if afraid of missing something:
"Just now on the phone, I thought I heard Leonardo muttering something to himself?"
He and Toby...didn't secretly follow you, did they?"
