Demon Hunter: School of the Wolf.

Chapter 73: Isn’t it such a coincidence?

Chapter 73 Isn't it such a coincidence? (Third round of recommendations, please read on!)
Afternoon at Killer Lake.

The people by the lake were divided into two circles, one large and one small.

The Wolf School's chief Soi and Vera were standing right next to the Killer Lake, a translucent reddish shield separating them from the outside world.

Sometimes they were talking intimately, and sometimes they suddenly separated as if they were having a quarrel.

The larger circle consists of the six witcher masters.

They talked to each other about what they had seen and heard in the past year, and occasionally discussed the performance of the apprentices this year.

Although the topics were different, every demon hunter master would turn his attention to that small circle from time to time.

"Vesemir, what is the relationship between the apprentice named Arryn and Lady Vera?"

The gray-haired old demon hunter retracted his gaze and asked curiously:

"If I heard correctly, Ms. Vera wanted to rush into the mountain trial to save him, right?"

Vesemir's gaze remained in the direction of Killer Lake.

Unlike other witcher masters, he was unable to extricate himself and talk nonchalantly about the life and death of several witcher apprentices.

Vesemir hadn't smiled since Vera had said that the old spearhead might go berserk from hunger.

However, after hearing the question from the old demon hunter master, he still suppressed his uneasiness and turned around to answer:
"should be."

"After the Trial of Grass, Aelin has been studying alchemy with Lady Vera."

After a pause, Vesemir continued:
"I think this is why Ailin was able to create a potion like the killer whale."

The gray-haired old demon hunter nodded slightly.

He also knew that some sorceresses would do some unorthodox things because of their innate maternal instinct that had nowhere to go.

Vera just took in a witcher apprentice to teach alchemy, nothing special.

but.

"As expected of Ms. Vera, she can train an apprentice with such high attainments in potions in just half a month."

After the old demon hunter sighed for a moment, his expression suddenly became depressed.

"Ms. Vera, this is just too much concern!"

"How can you interfere with the Demon Hunter's Trial?"

"What a pity that such an excellent demon hunter apprentice would encounter such a situation."

The old witcher smacked his lips, the wrinkles on his face filled with regret.

It was clear from his tone that he had no hope for Ailin's success in the mountain trial.

Actually.

He didn't even think that any of the apprentices who took part in the trial this time would be able to survive Old Spearhead's hands.

The old witcher waited here just out of habit.

Or maybe it's waiting for a miracle.

He didn't know what it was and didn't want to delve into it.

The old demon hunter’s time is worthless anyway.

"Alin and the others will pass the mountain trial!"

The gray-haired demon hunter was stunned when he heard this.

Vesemir's expression opposite him was serious and firm, as if he firmly believed in his own judgment.

Or maybe he just didn't want to believe that the ominous meaning hidden in the old witcher's tone would really happen.

"Vesemir, do not remember the apprentice's name."

The old witcher said seriously.

When he saw that Vesemir's expression remained unchanged, he sighed, shook his head, and walked towards another group of witchers.

At this time.

“Crack~Crack~Crack~”

A demon hunter with two swords on his back walked towards him from a distance on the thick snow.

"Leto!"

"How did you come?"

Vesemir screamed, attracting the attention of the other witcher masters.

When Leto came closer, Demon Hunter Master Dante took a look at his attire. From a distance, he looked disheveled and pale.

As he slowly approached step by step, the witcher masters discovered that there were some faint red marks on Leto's exposed skin.

When you get closer, you can even smell the cheap perfume on him.

Demon Hunter Master Dante asked in confusion:

"Le...Leto, you were...just dragged off the bed in the Pink Tavern?"

"When did such a place appear in the Ancient Sea Fortress?"

Leto's face darkened when he heard this, and before he could argue, he was suddenly pulled aside by Vesemir.

"Leto, what's wrong with you?" Vesemir glanced secretly at the killer lake.

The sorceress and the head of the Wolf School had their backs to them.

then.

Vesemir pulled Leto behind a larch tree and urged him in a low voice:
"Hurry, leave before Ms. Vera notices you!"

Leto pulled helplessly, but Vesemir messed up his cotton armor again, and said calmly:
"No need. It was Ms. Vera who brought me back."

"what?"

Vesemir opened his mouth wide, then denied it in doubt:
"That's not right. How did Ms. Vera know where you were?"

"This smell is..." Weisermil paused, shrugged his nose, and sniffed closer, with surprise written all over his face, "Why did you run so far?"

"No, you ran so far, how did Ms. Vera find you?"

"Have you told Aelin privately where you were going?"

Laito sighed helplessly, the emotions in the two brown cats' eyes were complicated.

He looked at Vesemir deeply again and again, then straightened his clothes, sighed again, and then said word by word, softly but with gritted teeth:
"Master Vesemir!"

"Is there a possibility?"

"It wasn't the witcher apprentice Ailin who revealed my whereabouts."

The Demon Hunter Master's heart skipped a beat when Leto stared at him. He felt something was wrong, but he still asked:

"Then... who could it be?"

The demon hunter Leto looked at Vesemir deeply again and said:
"Maybe some witcher master."

"I am just an ordinary demon hunter, and I don't dare to call the masters by their names casually..."

"I'm afraid that next time, at the critical moment, I'll be dragged out of bed again, and before I have time to put on my clothes and say goodbye to the beautiful girls, I'll have to enter three portals in a row..."

"In the end, I had to walk step by step to Kaer Morhen in the heavy snow, and then to Slayer Lake..."

"Cough cough~"

Vesemir listened to these resentful words and was stared at by even more resentful eyes. He could not help but cough twice to interrupt Leto's endless complaints.

Even the dumbest person would now understand who the witcher master Leto was talking about.

Vesemir did have contact with Ms. Vera several times some time ago.

So he turned his head to look at the snow-capped mountains in the distance and changed the subject:
"By the way...why did Ms. Vera send you back?"

"Did you ask for it?"

"How is this possible!" Leto couldn't help but shout out.

Before he finished speaking, he immediately glanced at the killer lakeside, the translucent light red protective shield, and whispered:
"Lady Vera asked me to witness Arryn's mountain trial..."

"If you ask me, this is totally unnecessary. How could a natural born demon hunter like Ailin fail the trial..."

"Unless he's unlucky enough to see Old Spearhead getting up for breakfast..."

"But how is this possible, Vesemir?"

"Vesemir?"

Leto's nagging voice gradually subsided as he saw Vesemir's face slowly darkening.

Laito's heart skipped a beat, and he thought to himself:
"It can't be such a coincidence, right?"

"Can Ailin really meet Old Spearhead for breakfast?"
