This top guy is crazy!

Chapter 585 Premiere

The plot of Resident Evil 3: Extinction picks up right where the previous one left off.

As the powerful nuclear weapon exploded, the entire city of Lacoun was wiped off the map of Serbia.

The T-virus has destroyed global civilization, turning Earth into a wasteland overrun by zombies.

At the beginning of the story, Alice, played by Jiang Nan, wanders alone in the desert, dodging satellite tracking by Umbrella while searching for survivors and supplies.

During this process, she falls into a trap and is ambushed by a family that eats human flesh in the apocalypse, but Alice manages to fight back.

Claire leads a convoy of survivors, struggling to survive in the wilderness in search of the unspoiled "pure land" of Alaska. The convoy members include characters from both the first and second films.

Depleted of resources, the convoy ventures into the zombie-infested ruins of Las Vegas in search of fuel and supplies. However, they encounter a flock of zombie crows and undead creatures adapted to the desert environment.

The convoy is in crisis.

Fortunately, Alice arrived in time and used her telekinesis to save the convoy.

Meanwhile, Dr. Isaacs, a high-ranking member of Umbrella Corporation, was manipulating the situation from a secret base underground in the desert.

He has three goals:
First, capture Alice, because she is the only individual who has successfully and perfectly fused with the T-virus, and is the key to the research.

Second, test the new results of the "Nemesis Project" by using survivors such as Carlos as subjects for real-world testing of the new biological weapon, the Tracker.

Third, clear out the "failed experiments" and treat all survivors and out-of-control zombies on the surface as garbage to be cleared away.

Alice led the survivors in a fight against the zombie horde, while Carlos detonated a bomb to buy time for his teammates to escape, sacrificing himself heroically.

After escaping, Alice saw off her teammates and ventured alone into the underground base.

Here, she awakened the memories of countless clones, and the things the doctor did to her clones came to mind.

Alice learns from the White Queen that the Doctor was bitten by a creature that had received new blood plasma, turning him into a zombie with incredibly powerful abilities, including the ability to heal infinitely.

Alice found it and eventually killed it.

At the end of the movie, Alice sees countless clones of herself sleeping in incubation chambers inside the base.

Dr. Isaacs has been copying her.

The next moment, hundreds and thousands of Alice clones opened their eyes simultaneously in the incubation chamber.

The movie ends here.

The moment the theater lights came on, thunderous applause erupted from every corner.

Cheng Cheng sat in the first row, stood up, took Jiang Nan's hand and walked onto the stage to receive the praise of the crowd.

The eager media reporters immediately crowded around, holding up microphones and recording equipment, and bombarded the reporters with all sorts of questions.

"Director Cheng! Jiang Nan! Look this way!"

"Miss Jiang Nan, over here!"

Veteran film critics from The Hollywood Reporter were among the first to speak out:
"Director Cheng! I must admit, the special effects and plot of Resident Evil 3 are fantastic! It has reached top Hollywood standards. Did that final scene foreshadow the final battle? Will the fourth installment be the final chapter of the series?" Cheng Cheng replied:

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, there will be two more films."

Another reporter was praising Jiang Nan:

“Ms. Jiang Nan, your acting is superb. Critics generally believe that you don’t need much acting in this series, but I think your acting is absolutely on par with Gemma Layton! What do you think of this assessment?”

Jiang Nan smiled and said:

"Thank you for your recognition. Gemma Layton is someone I have been learning from and studying. Compared to Gemma Layton, I still have a lot of room for improvement."

Another reporter pushed forward and asked loudly:

"Director Cheng! The investment in this film is said to be record-breaking, especially in motion capture and set construction. With such a massive production, what do you think was the biggest challenge? Did the final result meet or even exceed your expectations?"

Cheng Cheng: "Indeed, this film has the highest investment of the three. The team overcame countless difficulties, and I am very satisfied with the final result. They did their best."

"What are your expectations for the global box office? Facing other major releases at the same time, such as *Storm Riders* and *The Legend of Y*, are you confident you can take the top spot?"

Cheng Cheng: "I have great confidence in myself."

An entertainment reporter with a slightly gossipy nature seized the opportunity and quickly asked:
"I'd like to ask you two! You've been friends for a long time, what was it like working together? Are there any particularly interesting behind-the-scenes stories you can share? Did Director Cheng ever lose his temper with Ms. Jiang Nan on set?"

Cheng Cheng glanced at Jiang Nan beside him:

I lost my temper with her?

Cheng Cheng shook his head:
“I’ve never lost my temper with her. If the shot isn’t good, just take it a few more times. If the movements aren’t right, it must be because I didn’t explain the requirements clearly. If the effect isn’t achieved, I should look for problems with the photographer, lighting technician, or post-production.”

“Actually,” Cheng Cheng straightened his back, a kind of “kind” calmness appearing on his face, “I’m not a person who likes to lose my temper. I’m very amiable on set.”

Upon hearing Cheng Cheng's words, the male lead, Ode Fico, lowered his head, pretended to cough, and his shoulders twitched suspiciously.

Eli Gru's lips twitched, and he quickly raised his hand to push up his eyes.

They were both longtime victims of Cheng Cheng's tyrannical behavior on set, and had been scolded by him countless times.

Jiang Nan chuckled and teased Cheng Cheng:
“He really doesn’t dare to lose his temper with me; it’s usually me who loses his temper with him. But he also often makes me question my existence.”

A murmur of surprise rippled through the audience, who found their answers quite interesting and worth discussing, bringing the atmosphere to a small climax.

The interview session ended quickly.

Cheng Cheng and Jiang Nan returned to the audience, where Hollywood super producer Jerry Bruckheimer gave Cheng Cheng an exaggerated bear hug.
"Cheng! My man! You've proven once again that you're the guarantee of box office success!"

He spoke loudly, making sure everyone around him could hear him.

Then, in a manner reminiscent of "good buddies discussing serious matters," he led Cheng Cheng aside, lowered his voice, and spoke rapidly:
"Listen up, Cheng! I've got a new project in the works, a sci-fi epic! All I need is a director like you who can pull off visual spectacle and global box office success! I'll show you the script tomorrow! The terms will definitely satisfy you, and we can discuss the revenue sharing!"

Cheng Cheng did not refuse. Having reached the pinnacle of Hollywood, he couldn't keep it all to himself. He said:
"Cooperation is no problem, but it depends on the script and the contract. And you know, I like to have a lot of power."

"Ha! I love your attitude! Don't worry, if you're going to take this role, I promise you'll have the final say on set. Anyway, after you finish reading the script tomorrow, we'll arrange lunch to discuss things in detail!" Jerry pulled out his phone and waved it. "Keep in touch, Cheng!" (End of Chapter)
