Chapter 578 A Love Story

Chapter 578 Sweet Talk (Please Subscribe!)
On Sunday, the sky was sometimes cloudy and sometimes sunny.

Zhang Yunqi went directly to Peking University at 3 p.m.

He's going back to Lijin tomorrow, so he only has today left. Although there's a lot going on at Aihua Electronics, even if the sky falls, he has to make time to spend Chujian's last day in Yanjing.

He knew this place well. He walked through this ancient private garden that has been passed down to this day. The environment was quiet and the atmosphere was full of the fragrance of books. Although it was the weekend, students could be seen everywhere holding books and eating them like steamed buns.

Of course, Zhang Yunqi also enjoys reading, but compared to the top students at Peking University, he has lived two lifetimes and the only novel he truly loves is "Jin Ping Mei".

When I first read it, I thought it was absolutely magnificent.

As a timeless classic novel, he felt that every male animal should read it carefully. Although they might not necessarily grow after reading it, at least they could learn a survival rule: to survive in this cruel world, one must demystify women, the rich, officials, and even brothers.

Of course, besides "Jin Ping Mei", Zhang Yunqi also has some other world classics worth reading, such as "A Bin", which can be described as a realistic fantasy adventure of young Pi. "Bai Jie" is also not bad, and can be regarded as the Chinese version of Notre Dame and Les Misérables. As for "Jin Lin", it is definitely the Chinese version of One Hundred Years of Solitude!
Thinking about all this, Zhang Yunqi quickly walked through the quiet dormitory area and stopped in front of a dusty old building. He took out his phone and called Chujian again.

The first meeting was quickly followed by a walk down.

She was wearing a dark blue suit that Zhang Yunqi had accompanied her to the shopping arcade of the Wangfujing Hotel last week, paired with white lace-trimmed stockings and flat black leather shoes, along with a white scarf. Today, she wasn't wearing a ponytail; her long, thin, straight hair was draped over her shoulders, adorned with a delicate pearl hair clip. Her slender, clear, and bright hair attracted the attention of passing boys.

Zhang Yunqi's mood immediately brightened considerably.

As they talked, they walked hand in hand out of the south gate of the school and walked west along Beida South Road for more than a kilometer. They soon arrived at Mingguang Bridge, though they coughed a few times every now and then on the way.

Zhang Yunqi asked with some surprise, "Wife, do you have a cold?"

"It's just a little bit, it's nothing." Chu Jian seemed afraid that Zhang Yunqi would worry, so she explained, "Our department organized a two-day spring outing. Yesterday we went to Shidu, and last night we had a bonfire party on the riverbank. It was a bit cold, and I caught a little chill, but I've already taken medicine and I don't feel unwell."

Zhang Yunqi nodded and said, "Wife, you came back today to spend the two-day spring outing with me, right?"

At their first meeting, she linked arms with Zhang Yunqi, smiled with pursed lips, and remained silent.

Zhang Yunqi felt a surge of warmth in his heart and reached out to touch the girl's clear cheek.

After a brief chat, the two arrived at the Yuan Dynasty City Wall Relics Park.

The two of them visited some of the famous attractions in Yanjing last weekend. The Yuan Dynasty City Wall Relics Park has beautiful scenery and is very quiet, making it a good place to relax.

This is actually a section of the ruins of a Yuan Dynasty city wall. The base is still quite solid, but the top has become a grassy hill, planted with some not-quite-true pine trees, locust trees, walnut trees, and so on. A small river, called Xiaoyue River, lies beside the city wall.

During the day, elderly men and idle migrant workers would come here to cool off, practice qigong, and walk their birds. At night, security guards wearing red armbands would patrol the shadows with flashlights, catch one or two couples having an affair, and bring them to the office to interrogate them about the details of their tryst.

Heading north from the city wall to Huangtingzi, there is a bar called Huangtingzi Bar, which is one of the gathering places for young artists in the capital, frequented by young drunks late at night.

After walking for several miles, the two sat on the grass by the Little Moon River. The ground was a little damp, and the air was filled with a pleasant humidity. The relaxed and carefree atmosphere of this place was indeed somewhat captivating.

Chu Jian nestled on Zhang Yunqi's shoulder, her expression full of affection, and said softly, "Yunqi, do you know that the ground we are sitting on was built by Kublai Khan? Sometimes I come here to sit by myself."

Zhang Yunqi laughed and said, "I roughly know, it's the city wall of Yuan Dadu. Kublai Khan certainly couldn't have imagined that it would become a place for people to fall in love and practice Tai Chi. But it's not bad to sit on such a dilapidated city wall and indulge in some nostalgia."

At this point, Zhang Yunqi suddenly pointed to the center of the Xiaoyue River: "Look, two otters."

She smiled slightly when we first met.

Two elderly men surfaced and swam from the middle of the river, the water rippling gently. These two were definitely swimming enthusiasts, as the water temperature in Yanjing was still quite cold in April.

The sunlight is serene, and time moves slowly.

Zhang Yunqi sat on the grass, holding the girl he was somewhat attached to in his arms. He felt exceptionally warm and chatted with Chu Jian about some funny and strange things that happened at Xiangnan University. He also talked about the incident that had shocked the whole school a while ago, where Tyson was caught cheating on his wife.

At first glance, Zhang Yunqi looked somewhat surprised, as this was beyond the girl's comprehension: "They live together in the dormitory, and his roommates sleep together too?" Zhang Yunqi said, "What else can they do? They can't do anything except sleep together."

"Is everything alright?"

"If I were his roommate, I would really like to lift up his curtains and take a look."

"You boys are so bold!"

"Misconception, misconception." Zhang Yunqi didn't want to get away with something he didn't want to achieve. "Only my classmate did that. By the way, honey, do any of you girls bring guys up to sleep?"

Chu Jian thought for a moment and said, "Probably not."

Zhang Yunqi immediately seized the opportunity: "How about you take me up there tonight and see how it goes?"

Her face flushed instantly upon first seeing him. The thought of it made her heart pound: "No, it wouldn't be good if others saw us."

Zhang Yunqi sighed deeply and changed the subject: "What fun things happen in the girls' dorms at Peking University? Do you talk about boys at night?"

Chu Jian nodded and said, "Yes, they talk about who is more handsome and things like that."

Zhang Yunqi laughed and said, "I remember that Liao Qi and Jiang Yun, your roommates, don't seem to have boyfriends yet, right? It seems they want to find someone too."

Upon first meeting, she hummed in agreement: "Jiang Yun says at the beginning of each semester that she must find a boyfriend this semester, but she has never succeeded."

Zhang Yunqi chuckled, "I didn't realize that Jiang Yun, who looks so petite and scholarly and quiet, is so straightforward in private."

"Silly girl, do you think all girls are bookish and pedantic?"

"But no matter how thick it is, it can't be as thick as a boy's, right?"

"Not necessarily." Chu Jian seemed to take Zhang Yunqi's casual questions as seriously as she did his casual ones: "Actually, you don't know, but in private, there are some classic swear words that girls might never say to you guys."

"Is that so? Tell me about it, honey."

I'm embarrassed to repeat myself.

"Wife, don't keep me in suspense and then stop." The more Chu Jian said this, the more Zhang Yunqi wanted to hear it: "I won't be able to sleep well tonight."

At first glance, she blushed and smiled, then reached out and touched Zhang Yunqi's cheek, comforting him, "That was really too rude. Just thinking about it makes me blush. You should forget about it quickly so you can get a good night's sleep tonight."

Zhang Yunqi felt like ants were crawling on his heart. He held Chu Jian's soft body in his arms, lowered his head and kissed her rosy lips, and said persistently, "How about this, let's play rock-paper-scissors. If you win, you won't say anything; if you lose, you will. Is that okay?"

When they first met, Zhang Yunqi kissed her so hard she was almost out of breath: "You always have ulterior motives."

Zhang Yunqi knew Chu Jian too well. He guessed that she would most likely choose "paper," so he chose "scissors." As expected, he won decisively.

Upon first meeting, she immediately buried her head in Zhang Yunqi's arms, her voice as soft as a mosquito's buzz: "I'm really embarrassed to say, I'll tell you another day, okay, okay?"

Zhang Yunqi was already drooling: "This isn't quite right. This was won in a bet, and you always keep your word, my wife."

After a few hesitations upon first meeting, she leaned close to Zhang Yunqi's ear, her clear little face flushed red like a tomato, her expression as if someone was eavesdropping, and whispered, "Every time school starts, Jiang Yun always picks up a mop and tells us, 'If I'm still a virgin by the end of the semester, you can poke me with this mop.'"

Like opening a door, Zhang Yunqi saw a brand new scene of the outstanding female students of the Chinese Department of Peking University, who were so approachable, friendly, and lovely!
Zhang Yunqi laughed heartily, joy spreading throughout his body.
