Chapter 1630 Immortal Synchrony

Chapter 1630 Immortal Synchrony
Bakura: "The effect of the flashbang forces this turn to end!"

Sure enough, in the blink of an eye, the display on both duel disks changed to "End Phase." This wasn't just a common forced end to the battle phase; it was a forced end to the turn, making it impossible to even re-establish defensive positions in the back row. Of course, Dartz was never really capable of doing that anyway.

Because his front and back rows were already filled with his Mirror Knights, there wasn't a single empty space, so he couldn't summon monsters or set new cards.

However, this meant Dartz wouldn't have a chance to replenish the "Mirror Counter" on her derivative. Thus, the Mirror Knight, having just engaged in battle, lost its shield and would be destroyed in the next attack.

“You only managed to survive one more round by using the trap’s effect,” Dartz said. “You were just bluffing.”

Bakura yawned lazily.

"You'll soon find out whether it's a bluff or not. Alright, that's enough fun. Your performance was alright, I believe you're probably a formidable opponent in this era, but that's about it. So, what's next?"

Suddenly, Bakura changed his lazy and unmotivated attitude from before, and seemed to finally become serious, or as if a beast that had been dormant for a long time had finally shown its fangs.

He laughed and said, "It's my turn."

Daz's expression tightened.

He could more or less sense that up until now, the other party had just been playing around, with a relaxed attitude, and even seemed to be looking forward to seeing him perform.

But things will be different from now on.

Now, this guy is getting serious.

"My turn, draw!" Bakura shouted. "First, I activate the Spell Card 'Hand Card Annihilation' from my hand! Both players discard all cards in their hands, and then draw the same number of cards from their decks."

Darzan followed his partner's instructions and discarded all his cards into the graveyard, then drew cards again. But throughout the entire process, his gaze remained fixed on Bakura, his eyes never blinking, as if he were afraid of missing a crucial moment if he lost focus even slightly.

"Then this card was in my hand that I just discarded, the spell card 'Compensation Treasure Card'. I sent this card from my hand to the graveyard and drew two cards from my deck."

Bakura drew two more cards, then revealed a slightly manic expression of excitement, as if anticipating what was to come.

"I summon the 'Lord of Zombies'!"

A man with a face as pale as wallpaper appeared on the field, laughing maniacally under the moonlight, raising his hands like a sorcerer casting a spell.

[Lord of Zombies, Attack Power 1800]

"The true power of immortality is only just beginning to be revealed!"

Bakura shouted.

"The Zombie Lord's effect activates! Once per turn, send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard. You can Special Summon any Level 4 or lower Zombie monster from either your or your opponent's Graveyard to your field!"

Bakura sends one of his monster cards to the graveyard.

"I will resurrect this undead, 'Shuten-dōji,' from the graveyard!"

The monster has explosive blond hair like a Super Saiyan, red-faced demon skin, a gourd with a large "wine" character written on it, a crooked body, and red fangs.

[Shuten-dōji, Attack Power 1500]

Bakura: "And the monster sent to the graveyard when Zombie Lord's effect was activated was 'Eclipse Wyvern'! Eclipse Wyvern's effect was activated when it was sent to the graveyard!"
When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can banish any LIGHT or DARK Dragon of Level 7 or higher from your Deck. He caught a card that automatically popped out of his Deck, tossed it into the air, and the card was sucked into a dark dimensional vortex.

"I banished the DARK Dragon 'Demon Lord Diablos' from my deck!"

Then Bakura raised his arm high and shouted as he flipped open the back row: "Activate face down card, Continuous Trap 'Reincarnation Domination'!"
"Declare one race once per turn. This card can change all monsters in both players' Graveyards to the corresponding race. I'm declaring the Zombie Race, of course!"

The trap's power was unleashed, replacing the effect of a "world of the undead" that temporarily transformed everything in both graveyards into undead.

"Next is the Quick-Play Spell 'Burial from Another Dimension', which allows up to three monsters banished from the game to return to their owner's Graveyard."

Bakura revealed three monster cards that had been banished from the game, the same three monsters that were launched as ammunition for "Dark Armed Dragon" in the previous turn.

"Return the three monsters that are excluded to the graveyard!"

Bakura: "Then I'll activate 'Shuten-dōji's' monster effect! Once per turn, Shuten-dōji can activate either his 1st or 2nd effect. I'm going to use his 1st effect now, which banishes two Zombie-Type monsters from the Graveyard and draws one card from my Deck!"

Dartz understood: "Because of the effect of the Cycle of Reincarnation, all the monsters in your graveyard are now undead."

"That's right, so it's like I can banish any two monsters from my graveyard and draw one card from my deck!"

As Bakura spoke, two monster cards appeared out of thin air in the graveyard. Shuten-dōji took a big gulp of sake, and an endless vortex of air seemed to spew out from his mouth, sucking the two cards into the dark vortex and making them disappear without a trace.

"I banish 'Goblin Zombie' and 'Eclipse Pterosaur' from the game from my graveyard and draw a card."

Bakura drew another card and continued.

"And at that moment, another effect of 'Eclipse Wyvern' also activated! When 'Eclipse Wyvern' in the Graveyard is banished from the game, any Dragons previously banished by this card's effect can be added to your hand."

Therefore, I added 'Demon King Dragon Diablos' to my hand from my deck!

Bakura: "Then I activate the spell card 'Temptation of Darkness', draw two cards from my deck, and then banish one DARK card from my hand."

I'll draw two cards, then banish Diablos, whom I just retrieved, from the game.

Bakura draws two more cards.

“Then I’m going to activate the effect of ‘Zombie Carrier’ in the graveyard,” Bakura said. “While Zombie Carrier is in the graveyard, it can be resurrected by returning one of your cards from your hand to the top of your deck.”

He stuffed a card into the top of his deck, and at the same time, a sinister zombie jumped out of the graveyard onto the field.

[Zombie Carrier, Attack Power 400]

If Yuugen were here and saw this series of actions, especially seeing the iconic monster "Zombie Carrier," he would have already recognized what deck Bakura was using.

This was once a top-tier deck that led the trend. In the early Synchro era of 2008, it became the mainstream deck in the Japanese national tournament with an 80% participation rate, and ultimately won the championship with the powerful burst damage of the Undead race.
