Chapter 1696 Uniting the World
When Edward arrived at the headquarters hall, he saw an elderly man with gray hair coming from another direction.

The old man was dressed in a black uniform. Judging from the wrinkles on his face and his gray hair and beard, he was probably in his sixties or seventies, but he was full of energy and exuded the sharpness of a warrior.

The old man's name was Sanders, and he belonged to the same Fusion Division as Edward. Although his rank was below Edward's, his status in the military was subtly comparable to Edward's.

Zach waved his hand impatiently.

"The Zero problem certainly needs to be solved. If I can't handle it, I don't need to keep you bunch of good-for-nothings. But we'll talk about that later. There's something else."

He narrowed his eyes. "This time, the incident involving Hack and Hoshino is probably not as simple as it seems."

Edward said, "Isn't it that duelist named Zero?"

"Are you deaf? I told you, that woman doesn't have the strength left to fight, or are you questioning me?" Zach said sternly.

Edward: "No, no."

He dared not ask any more questions, but felt puzzled.

Although neither of the two who died were as powerful as themselves, they were still army commanders. If it weren't for that girl named Lingyi's intervention, who in this world could threaten them?
