Rebirth of the Legend of the Red Age

Chapter 218, Building a Garden

Chapter 218, Building a Garden

After Wang Li completely took back the courtyard house, he began to think about renovating the garden of the courtyard house.

The garden was previously rented out to a district recycling company and was used to store waste. Now that it has finally been taken back, the garden can finally be put to use.

Wang Li's plan was very simple. He wanted to build a two-story building 5-6 meters wide and about 10 meters long, close to the courtyard wall in the direction of the garden near the third courtyard, which was the original location of the garden warehouse.

The small building can be regarded as a small villa for leisure purposes at home. In the future, you can see the scenery of the garden from the window of the small building.

Wang Li designed it to be the courtyard with the best scenery in the entire quadrangle.

Of course, it is inevitable to dig a basement under the small building to store items and prevent moisture.

The small building uses bricks, stones and other building materials, continuing the tradition of his family's courtyard house.

The bricks and stones were still the bricks that were transported back from the city wall and stored in the underground garage or in the corner of the garden wall. We also bought some steel bars, cement, and blue bricks.

This two-story building was built according to the quality standards of other previous houses.

The decoration of the small building will be different from that of other houses with three courtyards.

It tends to blend into nature more, and most of the decoration materials used are some relatively precious woods, so that the two-story building can be better integrated into the garden.

In front of the door of the small building, he planned to dig a pond 1.5 meters deep, 17 meters long and 5 to 6 meters wide.

A marble arch bridge was built over the pond for access to the two-story building.

I have to point out here that the area below the two-story building and the pond is not an underground garage.

Because when designing the underground garage, Wang Li had already taken into consideration that the underground garage did not require such a large area.

Moreover, when Wang Li bought this courtyard, he wanted to build a pond and also took into account the problem of water seepage. Therefore, the underground garage was built close to the second courtyard and the direction of the hanging flower gate.

Therefore, the trouble of digging ponds during garden construction can now be perfectly avoided.

According to Wang Li's design, he will cultivate some lotus and koi in this pond, and the water in the pond will be designed to flow to avoid the formation of a stinking pond. The source of the water is a well in the garden.

I have to praise Wang Li's design ideas here. He made full use of his carpentry skills and used high-quality wood to make windmills as big as electric fans.

They are fixed on the top of the wall on the side of the garden gate, so that when wind blows on them, they will generate power. Through Wang Li's ingenious design, this power is transmitted through bearings, driving gears one by one, and after multiple transmissions, the power is applied to the water pump at the wellhead of the garden.

In this way, Wang Li could use the power of wind to pump water from the well and inject it into the pond. He could then dig an outlet for the pond and connect it to a nearby small river.

Although the wind is not very strong and not much water is pumped up, it is a steady trickle of water that can ensure that the water in the pond will not deteriorate or emit a foul smell.

It was precisely because of Wang Li's design that he wasted a lot of copper. In the process of force transmission, friction will be generated, and wood will not be able to withstand it for a long time, and iron will easily rust.

In the end, Wang Li had to take out the remaining copper blocks and find a processing factory to make them into the shape he wanted, which perfectly solved the problem.

Finally, there is a 28-meter-long and 16-meter-wide open space left in the garden. Some trees and flowers and plants that the women in the family like will be planted on this land, and we will strive to make it evergreen all year round. We will also build a blue brick path that runs through the entire garden.

After Wang Li showed this design to his family, it was unanimously agreed upon by everyone in the courtyard.

All that’s left is to actually start the construction. Wang Li’s family is very familiar with this project because all the buildings in the courtyard were built by themselves.

Now we are just building a garden and there are not many buildings, so it is even easier for them to do it. The rest is just a matter of time.
