During the Spring Festival, various ministries, government agencies, and state-owned enterprises hold New Year's gatherings.

People from all walks of life, welcome the New Year together!
There is no concept of the Spring Festival on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq.

On the Afghan battlefield, after New Year's Day 2004, the coalition forces increased the intensity of their offensive, continuously dropping bombs through missiles and airplanes, and demonstrating their air superiority by relying on air supremacy.

Faced with the powerful offensive of the coalition forces, the guerrillas once again did not choose to engage in direct combat with the coalition forces. Instead, they continued to abandon part of the city and continued to fight guerrilla warfare.

In the mountainous areas of Afghanistan, there are elusive guerrillas everywhere.

The guerrillas did not fight a direct war with the regular coalition forces, but instead fought guerrilla warfare continuously.

Various guerrilla tactics such as mine warfare, tunnel warfare, sparrow warfare, ambush, raiding, and siege warfare were constantly staged in Afghanistan.

According to the guerrilla leader, the cities can be occupied by the coalition forces, but the mountainous areas belong to the guerrillas, and the countryside belongs to the guerrillas!

Constantly destroying traffic roads and laying mines on the roads made it impossible for the coalition forces to carry out mechanized warfare well.

Mechanized warfare does not work well in mountainous areas like Afghanistan where road transportation is inconvenient.

Previously, the coalition forces deployed special forces to launch special operations in Afghanistan, which caused heavy losses to the guerrillas at the beginning. However, the guerrillas gradually adapted and gained experience in how to fight against the coalition special forces, so the casualties of the coalition special forces increased rapidly.

The current battlefield in Afghanistan is the place where the coalition special forces are most reluctant to wage war, because it is too dangerous!
When it comes to familiarity with the terrain and environment, how can special forces compare to native Afghans?

The coalition now controls 50% of Afghanistan, but its forces are dispersed and the fighting has not been stopped.

And this 50% of the land actually refers to the city that occupies this 50% of the land!

As for the vast rural areas, they are still where guerrillas are active.

Moreover, even in the city, it is not safe when the coalition forces patrol.

Because there is a possibility that an Afghan will detonate a grenade or a pack of explosives and die together with the patrolling soldiers.

As for the government forces that the United States has placed its hopes on in the interim government, even if the United States arms them, the government forces still have little combat effectiveness.

Combat effectiveness does not mean that you have firearms and bulletproof vests. Even if you train regularly, you may not necessarily develop combat effectiveness.

Because the army is made up of people. No matter how good the weapons and equipment are, the key still lies in the people who use them.

It would be fine if the government soldiers just slack off, slack off and get paid, but as for fighting hard, there are probably very few such soldiers.

The guerrillas are different. They have their own ideals and pursuits. They hate Americans very much. Young people join the guerrillas in order to fight the Americans and drive them out of Afghanistan.

Especially the guerrillas from Iraq, they have an immense hatred for Americans, fight very ferociously and are not afraid of death.

Although far away from their homeland, the guerrillas from Iraq can still learn about the Iraq War by watching some international channels through radio and television. Watching the American air strikes on Iraqi hospitals, nursing homes, kindergartens, and orphanages, no Iraqi soldier would not be angry.

They came to the Afghan battlefield to delay the American troops in Afghanistan and prevent them from being transferred to Iraq to attack Iraq.

And whenever they heard Saddam say that Iraqis would never compromise, would never be slaves of a conquered nation, and that Iraqis would fight against American colonization and would live and die with Iraq, these Iraqi soldiers were filled with excitement, as if they were inspired.

What they are fighting is a war to defend their country, an Islamic jihad!

A natural cave. This is a guerrilla's lair, with four to five hundred guerrillas.

There are radars, antennas and other things here, and the security is very tight.

Many tunnels were dug in the cave, which were interconnected and very complicated.

Even if they were visited by coalition special forces, they could use fortifications and complex tunnels to fight against the special forces.

Even throwing poison gas bombs into the tunnel would be useless.

In the cave, a middle-aged man with a beard was surfing the Internet with a laptop.

This is connected via Internet satellite. The speed is not fast, but it can be used for chatting and communication without any problem.

Next to his hand was a satellite phone.

Even within this area, external communications can be made via satellite phone.

The guerrillas are divided into small groups, but they can still communicate with each other and conduct joint operations through computers, radios or satellite phones.

Guerrilla warfare is not the guerrilla warfare of more than half a century ago, but the guerrilla warfare of the 21st century that integrates modern technology.

'Omar' is the captain of this guerrilla group. He has a very high rank and can command a total of five guerrilla groups in the surrounding area, with a combat force of more than two thousand people.

Long before the outbreak of the Afghan war, 'Omar' was a battalion commander in the Afghan army.

After more than two years of the Afghan war, the guerrilla force under him has grown to more than 2,000 people.

But he was the only battalion commander of their regiment still alive.

Guerrilla warfare is not that easy to fight.

After all, the coalition forces have advantages in weapons and equipment, firepower, and can call for air support at any time.

One of his comrades died in the coalition's suppression campaign, and two died in combat with the coalition's special forces.

Omar looked at the computer. Now the total number of guerrillas in Afghanistan has exceeded 20, spread all over Afghanistan.

"Damn Americans, we will drive them out of Afghanistan one day!" Omar couldn't help but curse. Omar hated the United States very much. He personally participated in Afghanistan's efforts to drive out the Soviets, defeat the puppet government supported by the Soviets, and establish a government belonging to the Afghan people.

But before the Afghan people had enjoyed peace for many years, the Americans came and brought war to the Afghans.

The Americans and their lackeys committed all kinds of atrocities in Afghanistan, including burning, killing, raping and looting.

What Afghanistan hates the most is that the Japanese once implemented the Three Alls Policy here: kill all, rob all, and burn all!
When the Japanese were captured by the guerrillas, they would be beaten up without any hesitation. If the Japanese or their relatives paid the ransom, then it would be fine. If not, the prisoners would be castrated. The castration process would be recorded into a video and posted on the Internet. The video and the cut parts would then be packaged and sent to the soldiers' parents or wives.

It was precisely because the guerrillas fought evil with evil that the Japanese did not dare to continue implementing the Three Alls Policy on Afghan soil.

Omar's eyes were full of determination. He believed that this war would be a protracted war, and the final victory would belong to the Afghan people! (End of this chapter)
