Why is China actively promoting the 'West-East Gas Transmission' project, the 'West-East Oil Transmission' project, the 'North-South Gas Transmission' project, and the 'North-South Oil Transmission' project?
You know, the total investment here exceeds 1 trillion RMB, which is a huge investment!
It started in the 90s when the Soviet Union was still around. We didn't even need Soviet investment, as China was responsible for providing all the investment funds.

Isn’t it for the purpose of ensuring energy security?
The energy security lifeline must be firmly in China's own hands.

Every day, a large number of oil tankers travel to and from various routes to arrive in China, loaded with oil, which provides the blood of China's industry.

Why has China always attached great importance to its relations with Middle Eastern countries?
An extremely important reason is to ensure a stable and safe energy supply!
Now China has already surpassed the United States to become the world's largest oil importer. It cannot be overemphasized that oil security is important.

In order to ensure energy security, China has not only increased the exploitation of its own oil and natural gas, vigorously developed hydropower, wind power, tidal power, solar power, nuclear power, etc., but also invested heavily in diversifying its energy import channels.

The five Central Asian countries and Russia can supply oil and gas to China through oil and natural gas pipelines, but this part only accounts for about 20% of China's oil and natural gas imports.

It is impossible for China to import 100% of its oil and natural gas from the Middle East, nor is it possible to import 100% of its oil and natural gas from the five Central Asian countries and Russia.

Now the Americans occupy most of Iraq, at least the core areas of Iraq are under the control of the Americans.

Then, the next step for the Americans, in addition to managing Iraq and rebuilding Iraq's oil and gas industries so as to produce and export oil for profit, will inevitably be to use Iraq as a fulcrum to spread their influence to the entire Arab world, enhance their influence and status in the Middle East through various means, and then gain hegemony over the Gulf, and even use this opportunity to control the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.

How to respond to this move by the Americans is of utmost importance!
Everyone offered suggestions and considered and solved problems from all angles, including politics, military, economy, culture, and technology.

Eventually, everyone gradually reached a consensus.

First of all, with the Afghan battlefield just around the corner, we must adhere to the principles of the past and make it easy for the Americans to start a war but difficult to end it. If we are stuck on the Afghan battlefield, not to mention burning hundreds of billions of dollars in military expenditure every year, as long as we burn tens or hundreds of billions of dollars every year, then the bloodshed will continue for ten or twenty years, which will be considerable.

In this regard, in addition to the support of all parties for the guerrillas, they must continue to build momentum and praise the Americans. The higher they are praised, the harder it will be for them to come down, and the more miserable it will be if they fall.

Until finally, the Americans could no longer bear it and left Afghanistan in complete shame.

In this regard, Panshan Group and relevant departments are very experienced.

On the one hand, you need to make money, and on the other hand, you need to take out a portion of the money you earn to do something, thus forming a sustainable cycle and achieving self-sustaining function.

There is no need to mobilize too many from other parts of the country, it is enough to rely on one area in the Western Region.

It will not affect the overall development of the country.

Of course, the United States cannot occupy all of Afghanistan, and this is a red line that was drawn very early on.

The red line they set at the beginning was that the coalition forces occupied 80% of Afghanistan and the guerrillas occupied 20% of Afghanistan.

But no one expected that we are still quite far away from this red line.

Secondly, it is to consolidate relations with the Middle Eastern countries, especially Saudi Arabia and Persia. These are two strategic fulcrums to coordinate relations between Arabs and Persians and avoid war between Arabs and Persians.

If the Arabs and Persians went to war, the biggest beneficiaries would be the Americans, which was naturally something that should be avoided as much as possible.

Persia, from that year to now, the two sides have maintained friendly relations for more than 20 years.

Due to sanctions from Europe and the United States, Persia could not import weapons, industrial products, or export oil and natural gas, but these problems were completely solved because of the Panshan Group. After the Iran-Iraq War, it was also through the Panshan Group that Persia was able to obtain a large amount of loans, which allowed it to complete post-war reconstruction in less than 10 years, resume oil exports before the millennium, and even increase oil exports.

The cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in the political, economic, military, cultural and technological fields are very close, and the two sides hold at least one highest-level meeting every year.

Many Persians go abroad to study in Chinese universities. They come to China as exchange students or international students, thus connecting to the modern world instead of being isolated from the world.

There are huge conflicts between Persians and Americans, and so far, there is no possibility of normalization between the two countries.

Because Americans are not a monolithic group.

The Pahlavi dynasty’s government-in-exile is still in the United States!

Next is Saudi Arabia, which is the largest and most influential Arab country. It is currently the leader of the Arab League and the Arab Coalition, the leading brother of Arab countries, and also the country with the greatest say in OPEC.

Now is the time to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s capabilities and strength, so that Saudi Arabia can further enhance its status and influence in the Arab League and the Arab Coalition.

Then the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the United States is irreconcilable, because the United States cannot give Saudi Arabia more!
The United States wants to gain hegemony over the Gulf and the entire Middle East, rather than allowing Saudi Arabia to gain hegemony over the Middle East. Americans have never wanted to see Arab integration.

This is the irreconcilable contradiction between the two sides.

Furthermore, in terms of culture, one is Christian civilization and the other is Islamic civilization, and both civilizations themselves are highly exclusive.

It is very difficult for Europe and the United States to achieve win-win cooperation in the zero-sum game.

However, Chinese civilization is very inclusive.

In addition, there is Iraq, and some support cannot be cut off!

Saddam, Rashid and others did not die, but moved from the open to the dark, so that they can continue to cause trouble for the Americans in Iraq.

As long as they are there, Iraq will never be truly peaceful, and Americans will not be able to carry out reconstruction work in Iraq peacefully and steadily.

As long as the Americans cannot profit from Iraq, they will have to continue investing, and this will be a bleeding wound.

In addition, there are also many things that can be done outside the Middle East.

For example, we can further accelerate the regional economic integration of ASEAN 10+1 and South Asia 14+1, build a stable back garden, and it is also a huge market. Then we can promote the integration of Northeast Asia and strengthen the dialogue and exchanges between the two sides; and we can try to strengthen the Central Asian 5+1 strategy. Although this is bound to conflict with Russia's interests, there is no way, because this is how the game between major powers works.

Of course, there is also Africa and Latin America, which are emerging markets with great potential.

On the other hand, it is cooperation and exchanges with the European Union to further strengthen the relationship between the two sides.

To be honest, the two sides are far enough apart that there is not much conflict of interest. They can even be said to be natural allies with many common interests.

The reason why they are so close yet so distant and have constant conflicts is largely because the Americans are interfering. (End of this chapter)
