Greece: Zeus made me the queen of heaven?

Chapter 907 I can't resist the urge to give the child away.

Chapter 907 I can't resist the urge to give the child away.

She clearly knew she was a beautiful goddess, but she always talked to some lowly skeleton soldier.

Even if Eros could achieve the level of seeing beauty as bones, he couldn't possibly see bones as beautiful women.

After all, no matter how you look at it, it's just a skeleton. No matter how beautiful the skeletal structure is, you can't see any flowers in it. If this is considered respect, then it's truly a top-tier pervert that even Poseidon would have to give a thumbs up to.

Charon was slapped hard by Eros, almost sending the skull flying. He quickly straightened his head and continued to play dumb.

"What do you mean, 'revert'? I am the ferryman of the River Styx, a god of the underworld, so of course I look like the dead!"

It could actually be even scarier, like having a skeleton with rotting flesh and blood; that level of horror is achievable.

Charon thought this to himself, but the result was just a merciless slap from Eros.

"Still pretending, huh? I'm confiscating your divine authority over wealth; I'll send it to Hades later."

"If you don't behave yourself, I'm going to levy a tithe on you later. You must have a lot of treasures to collect all the wealth you've accumulated over the years, right?"

Although it was merely human wealth that was useless to the gods, for Charon, a member of the hamster party, taking away the wealth she had painstakingly accumulated was tantamount to taking her life.

Charon became completely obedient at this point, and upon hearing that a tithe would be levied, he immediately knelt upright.

"You can't treat me like this! We're sworn siblings, you should call me 'sister'!"

"Ha, an older sister who won't even show her true face to her younger brother?"

"I'm ugly, so I'm quite insecure."

"It's okay, I'll give you my Pretty Punch. Let me punch you a couple of times and you'll become more beautiful."

After a back-and-forth struggle, under Eros's dark-faced threat to enforce the tithe, Charon finally obediently removed his disguise.

Although he is a god of the underworld, gods do not have the concept of death, so it is impossible for him to actually appear in the form of a dead person because of the characteristics of a god of the underworld. At most, he is just tainted with the aura of death.

Charon's true form is the same; like most of the gods of the underworld, she has pale, bloodless skin, but possesses a graceful figure that Thanatos and Hypnos lack.

The loose black robe was somewhat tattered from being torn by Eros, and Charon clutched the worn-out black robe, which he had worn for who knows how many years, with a pang of heartache.

The skeletal form was too thin, but the fleshy body seemed to have been padded up like a towering cloud.

What's most striking about her pale, beautiful face are her dark circles and the weariness that lingers on her face.

Completely different from the skeleton that had previously shed its disguise, Charon now seemed much more composed, with much smaller movements.

She went from being a lovable, goofy goddess who was good at saving money to a resentful, overworked goddess.

What's this? Someone who looks serious and melancholic is actually more of a goofball than anyone else when they wear a mask?
Sensing Charon's slight embarrassment and caution, Eros thought that Charon might have some kind of face-shaming disorder, which was why he was unwilling to show his true face to him.

Of course, this is not the case; Charon did not have that strange illness.

The reason she immediately put on a disguise after meeting Eros was, of course, to prevent Eros from having any thoughts about her or engaging in close communication with her.

It wasn't out of dislike or resistance, but because Charon knew the rules of the earth. A wife is the property of her husband. If he couldn't control himself and accidentally had some kind of relationship with Eros, wouldn't all the wealth and possessions he had painstakingly accumulated be given to him for nothing?
It can only be said that her love for accumulating wealth makes her thought process quite different from other gods.

Although Eros may seem to have nothing, he is actually living off the wealth of many people. He can ask for any rare treasures he wants without hesitation. Why would he care about the undead treasures that Charon has accumulated?

But that's what Charon thought. In order to protect her little treasure trove, she tried every means to prevent Eros from having any designs on her.

She had heard of Eros's formidable reputation; in a short time, he could peel away the goddess's heart and pierce its deepest depths.

And indeed she witnessed it firsthand; Eros had dissected her psychology and understood her quirks in just one meeting.

And all of this was accomplished in a short time and through some conversations; I believe that dissecting her body would have taken even less time.

In the end, the wealth and priesthood she received from Demeter were confiscated by Eros in the name of tithes.

I'll give this to Hades as a gift.

Looking down again at Charon, the boatman before him, Eros's gaze darted back and forth through the gaps in her tattered black robe.

Yes, he does resemble Thanatos and Hypnos quite a bit; they were clearly born of the same mother, and his temperament is very similar to their mother's.

It remains to be seen whether Nyx's true appearance beneath the veil of darkness resembles that of her children.

However, the tattered black robe was still quite unsightly, so Eros directly and forcefully tore at her clothes, replacing them with a black robe of better quality, embroidered with gold trim, and more fitted.

As for her original tattered black robe, it was mercilessly burned by Eros, who watched Charon with a tearful and reluctant expression.

How old are you? Don't you understand the concept of decluttering? Could it be her baby? If so, I'd be a bit naughty.

"Your Majesty Cupid, this is really too much!"

She possesses both maturity and naivety, exhaustion and diligence. Despite having the voice and appearance of a lazy, mature woman, she does things like a child.

"You can't force me to do things I don't want to do just because of your own selfish desires!"

Charon of the Hamster Party looked heartbroken because Eros had burned the black robe he had worn for countless years.

However, the new clothes Eros gave her brought her an unexpected sense of gain, so the feeling of gaining and losing left Charon with some resentment, but she dared not vent it.

"Oh, then give me back these clothes, and I'll give you back the clothes you were wearing earlier, okay?"

Eros said with a hint of amusement, while Charon looked conflicted and complicated.

One reason is that I have some attachment to and nostalgia for my old belongings, but these new clothes are indeed more comfortable, look better, and smell nice.

More importantly, how can you throw away something you've already got?
Eros successfully found Charon's bug, causing her to crash.

If we force her to have a child here, wouldn't she be torn between raising the child and being reluctant to part with it?

The thought of having to ferry people across the River Styx while also carrying a child made Eros chuckle.
