Ember Dragon

Chapter 820 The Tyrant Descends on the Battlefield

"kill--"

"For the Empire!"

"For the Holy Land of Faldran! Drive these damned monsters out of Seleucia!"

"Go back to hell, you filthy five-colored evil dragon!"

Accompanied by loud battle cries, the allied forces launched a fierce counterattack against the Dragon Worship Church Legion.

Imperial soldiers fixed bayonets and charged, while Seleucia's paladins and warriors brandished their longswords and fought fiercely. The golden, silver, and brass dragons clashed with the five-colored evil dragons in the sky.

The battlefield was filled with the sounds of gunfire and the thick smell of blood. Everywhere there were severed limbs and fragments of humans, dragonborn, and the last of the evil dragons.

In this intense war, the Locke Rift Valley has become a life-devouring abyss. Every second, people fall into it and lose their lives. Corpses pile up like mountains in the valley, and blood flows slowly like a river.

On this vast battlefield, the undulating hills were leveled and replaced by endless scorched earth, where countless humans, half-dragons, elves, dwarves, and descendants of evil dragons fought each other.

Soon, the metal dragons' kin arrived from all directions. Cloud giants, pegasus, metal wyverns, and many other benevolent creatures wielding great power appeared on the battlefield, entangled in battle with the descendants of the evil dragons.

The situation on the battlefield became increasingly chaotic. From high above, millions of humans, dragons, and the descendants of evil dragons were entangled in battle, forming a battle line stretching for more than ten kilometers, like a mottled river.

"For the Dragon Lord—"

After defeating the blue dragon's leader, the red dragon phantom summoned by the Dragon Oath Paladins roared to the sky and charged toward the Dragon Worship Church's position—where Archbishop Jude was located.

Fiery dragon flames poured from its mouth like a surging tide, instantly engulfing hundreds of evil dragon descendants.

"Quick, stop it! Damn it, it's just an illusion!" Jude shouted angrily, veins bulging on his forehead, the scepter in his hand flashing with an eerie light.

At his summons, several massive storm lizards, their backs towering like small mountains, growled in a deep, muffled roar and blocked his path. They lowered their heads, and dazzling electric light surged from their enormous horns, crackling and popping, as if lightning was about to burst forth.

"Bastards, your gods cannot save you! Before the might of His Majesty Caesus, anything that dares to stand in the way of the Empire's progress will be crushed!"

Misha flapped her dragon wings, hovering behind him. With a light touch, beams of scorching flame shot from her fingertips, piercing the heads of several storm lizards.

"Your emperor is nothing but a red dragon, one of the thousands of descendants of Her Majesty Tiamat. You, as a descendant of the red dragon, have shamelessly betrayed your own bloodline—you deserve to die!"

Jude roared furiously, brandishing his dragon-headed scepter. Lightning surged in his flashing vertical pupils. Dark clouds rolled in, and a thick bolt of lightning tore through the sky, suddenly striking Misha's head.

"boom!"

The lightning struck, but pierced through Misha's body, scorching the ground beneath her feet, causing sand and gravel to fly and the ground to crack—it turned out to be just a fiery illusion.

The real Misha was hovering high above Jude's head, looking down at the Blue Dragon Cult's archbishop on the ground with a cold gaze and extremely dangerous firelight surging in her golden vertical pupils.

She slowly raised her hand and coldly declared, "In the name of the Emperor of Burning Ashes—"

The sky seemed to be torn apart by invisible claws, revealing a fiery vortex like a hideous scar. A golden-red pillar of fire crashed down, like divine punishment, striking Jude on the ground.

"boom!"

Jude looked up at the terrifying pillar of divine punishment, his face filled with fear and anger, and gritted his teeth, saying, "Damn Imperials! You will pay for this!"

He suddenly raised the dragon-headed scepter, and a jet-black light emanated from the vertical pupil at the top of the scepter, forming a semi-transparent sphere above his head that enveloped him—a divine shield from Tiamat.

With a deafening explosion that seemed to shatter the air, the pillar of fire crashed down, the surging flames washing over Jude's divine shield as the two immense forces collided.

"Damn it! How could a mere human who stole the bloodline of the dragons possess such power?"

Jude gritted his teeth, his veins bulging, and his hand, which held the scepter high, was convulsing and trembling violently. Wisps of black light emanated from his narrow, vertical pupils.

“Pathetic Dragon Worshippers—this is the Emperor of Burning Flames’s gift, and has nothing to do with your master who is imprisoned in hell!” Misha laughed in fury, clenching her fists, and the pillar of fire that fell from the sky became even hotter.

Under the relentless bombardment of the pillars of fire, fine cracks appeared on Jude's divine power shield, emitting a crisp sound, on the verge of shattering completely.

"eye for eye!"

Adrian, wielding a longsword, leaped high into the air, roared, and slashed down at Jude. The golden blade of light flew at incredible speed and struck the surface of the divine shield heavily.

"Click——"

The cracks continued to widen, and the protective shield formed by the evil divine power was on the verge of collapse and about to completely disintegrate, while Jude's face, soaked with sweat, was filled with fear.

Misha sneered, "It seems your god is about to abandon you."

"No, impossible! I am a bishop of the Blue Dragon Cult, chosen by Her Majesty Tiamat."

Jude argued desperately, roaring in exasperation, but he couldn't change the fact that the divine shield was about to collapse—his life was about to end.

However, at that moment, a series of violent thunderclaps came from afar, and dark clouds spread rapidly at a visible speed, like surging waves, covering half of the sky. Dazzling lightning flashed in the clouds, like a raging beast.

On the battlefield, tiny arcs of electricity pulsed everywhere, sparking countless sparks. The lightning elements within a radius of dozens of miles became exceptionally active, as if awakened by some unknown entity.

"Shh-"

A fierce wind swept in, carrying countless grains of sand and stones, whipping up gusts of thick black wind, and a pungent smell permeated the howling wind.

"It's a sandstorm!"

The powerful storm blew the soldiers on the battlefield off their feet, even blowing away many unarmored soldiers, sweeping them into the air along with broken earth, rocks, and fallen trees. Even the giant dragons in the sky could only struggle to flap their wings and barely maintain their flight.

At the heart of that storm and dark clouds, something terrifying seemed to be lurking, its form concealed within the dazzling lightning.

Misha raised her head solemnly, gazing at the eye of the storm in the distance, and murmured to herself, "'Thunder Tyrant' Gorazdra."

She turned her head and looked at Jude, who was struggling to hold on, her expression suddenly hardening: "Never mind, we must finish this quickly and kill this guy!"

Jude also saw the storm and thunderclouds in the distance. His expression was twisted with rage, his eyes filled with glee. He laughed hoarsely, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

"Hahaha. Hahaha. Pathetic Imperials, Lord Gorazdela is about to descend, you are doomed!"

"Shut up!"

A blinding golden-red flame burst forth from Misha's eyes, and the pillar of fire became even hotter, melting everything around Jude, even the sand was melted into liquid glass, emitting puffs of white smoke.

The divine protective shield shattered with a deafening roar, and Jude was engulfed by the surging flames, his flesh and blood burned away completely. In his final moments, Jude's appearance was utterly terrifying; his flesh and blood had turned to black dust, leaving only his bones trembling and emitting a hoarse roar: "All of you—will be destroyed by thunder and storm!"

In the end, all that remained of the land where Jude was was lava, fluid glass, and charred remains.

Just then, a bolt of lightning struck Misha, blasting her away and scorching her robes, leaving her body crackling with electric arcs.

Misha struggled to flap her dragon wings, dragging her battered body as she swiftly traversed to the rear of the position, gazing at the distant sandstorm and thunderclouds.

"An ignorant rebel—"

A thunderous roar echoed from the depths of the dark clouds, sending chills down one's spine and instilling a primal fear—the most primal terror of living beings against the ravages of lightning.

"Then, what exactly is it?"

"There's no mistake, it's her, it must be her, the tyrant who rules the Taliro Desert!"

"God."

People subconsciously held their breath, hunched their heads, and sweat poured down their cheeks and foreheads, their whole bodies trembling violently.

Dionysius flapped his dragon wings and slowly descended to the ground, gazing solemnly into the distance, his narrow, golden vertical pupils reflecting lightning: "What terrifying pressure! I can feel it. Gorazdra has become even more powerful."

Gu Jinlong turned his head, sighed, and looked at the senior generals of the allied forces: "We've arrived too late. That Primordial Blue Dragon has most likely already become the real thing—"

He swallowed hard before continuing, "A quasi-god, this is no longer a being that mortals can contend with. If necessary, we can request His Majesty's intervention. In such a situation, only the Burning Emperor can do so."

"Boom!"

The thunder roared from afar, sweeping in and sending countless grains of sand and gravel flying, even blowing away several unfortunate human soldiers.

"Pathetic mortals, lowly ants, do you know what kind of being you have angered!"

"Crack!"

A massive bolt of lightning tore through the sky, instantly illuminating the dark expanse.

First, a dark shadow appeared on the horizon in the distance, like a moving dark cloud, sweeping towards them at an extremely fast speed. As the shadow drew closer, the ground began to tremble slightly, as if an enormous, unknown beast was approaching. The tremors grew stronger, and the sand seemed to be pulled by an invisible force, leaping and rolling.

Against a backdrop of pitch-black clouds, illuminated by lightning, the colossal creature finally flapped its wings, dispelling the clouds that enveloped its body and revealing its ferocious true form.

It was an incredibly massive ancient blue dragon. Its body was as large as a mountain, and its blue scales, which shimmered with a cold, metallic luster, reflected a dazzling light in the sunlight. Each scale was the size of a shield, arranged closely and orderly, like a natural, indestructible suit of armor.

The blue dragon's wingspan exceeds 100 meters, resembling two giant sails that blot out the sky. The tough membrane on its wings has clear texture, and every slight flap of its wings is accompanied by howling winds, with columns of sand rising straight into the clouds.

The cobalt blue dragon's head soared above the storm's dome, its pupils churning with chaotic thunderstorms, its scales reflecting blinding light as they were entwined with lightning, and its gaping maw unleashed endless bolts of lightning with every breath!

What is most striking is the enormous horn at the tip of its nose, which contains terrifying energy capable of destroying everything. It is connected to thousands of lightning bolts, and its tip displays an ever-expanding vortex of thunder.

A slight upturn of her lips, accompanied by a crisp crackling sound, and flashes of lightning burst from her narrow, vertical pupils. A cruel smile appeared on her dragon-like face: "This boring farce—should end now."

The ancient blue dragon spread its broad and powerful wings, and lightning poured out like a tidal wave, engulfing everything.

"boom!"

In an instant, thunder roared and the sound waves shook the heavens and the earth. Hundreds of Seleucid soldiers on the front line of the battlefield were all killed by lightning.

The empire's steam tanks also exploded one after another in the terrifying thunderstorms that swept across the land, turning into charred wreckage, utterly powerless to resist.

The Thunder Tyrant, King of Tariro, Lord of Storms and Deserts, the Dragon God of Thunder and Destruction in the Church of the Dragons—Gorazdra—has descended upon the battlefield!
"What terrifying lightning! It can destroy a steam tank in one strike!"

"Quick, stop her!"

"Let's focus all our firepower and kill that Primordial Blue Dragon! This boss belongs to our Mechanicus!"

Players were extremely excited to face a boss of this level, and they unleashed all sorts of attacks without restraint.

In an instant, a dozen thick elemental beams, hundreds of missiles powerful enough to level mountains, and tens of thousands of bullets shot toward the Primordial Blue Dragon. Such firepower was enough to destroy a small city.

But Gorazdra simply flapped its lightning-stirring wings, looking down at the players on the ground with a cruel and contemptuous gaze, completely ignoring the onslaught of attacks.

When they were only a hundred meters away from the Primordial Blue Dragon, all the missiles, shells and bullets seemed to be paused, hovering in mid-air, wrapped with tiny arcs of electricity.

The next moment, they fell like raindrops, with explosions coming one after another. Not only did they fail to harm the ancient blue dragon, but they also accidentally injured many of the allied forces' allies.

The beams of light fired from the Elemental Cannon were overwhelmed by the tidal wave of lightning, and all the energy was swallowed up, becoming part of the immense energy surrounding the Primordial Blue Dragon.

The players of the Mechanicus Cult were discussing nervously: "The Elemental Cannon is completely ineffective against demigod-level energy fluctuations."

"Activate the highest level of protection. This blue dragon's next target is very likely us!"

Thick magical barriers appeared on the surface of those spaceships, with various colors of spiritual light reflecting off each other, and they also spewed out thick steam and white smoke.

Charlotte, somewhat gloating, still cautioned, "Be careful. We saw this boss in the Taliro Desert with our magic coins. Her lightning breath possesses the properties of a god of destruction, capable of penetrating all magical defenses! Our magic ship was instantly destroyed by her."

Golazdra gazed at the distant skyships enveloped in magical shields, his narrow, vertical pupils revealing undisguised mockery: "Laughable toys."

"Let me show you pathetic mortals what to do—"

She stretched out her enormous dragon claw, and countless bolts of lightning gathered in her palm, crackling and condensing into a huge bolt of lightning resembling a spear, just like Zeus's lightning spear in mythology.

"What is true power!"

The next moment, dazzling lightning burst forth from the narrow, vertical pupils of the Primordial Blue Dragon. The lightning bolts cleaved through the air, splitting into thousands of crisscrossing lightning bolts that struck the sky warship.

"boom--"

The roar of thunder, the crackling of lightning, the deafening roar of engines, and the howling of the wind mingled in the high sky.

One after another, the space battleships, trailing thick smoke and burning, plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground and exploding with a deafening roar, sending up mushroom clouds.

With just this terrifying attack, most of the Mechanicus fleet was annihilated, with no survivors; they all crashed! (End of Chapter)
