Chapter 514: Finally Waiting for You (Finale)

In September of the fifteenth year of the Zhengde reign, Ou Zanghua was in charge of land survey in Fujian when he suddenly received news from the capital that the Zhengde Emperor had accidentally fallen into the water while visiting the Jishuitan Lake.

Ou Zanghua stood at the highest point of the Anhai Port Pier in Quanzhou Prefecture, looking at the scene of thousands of ships passing by, but his heart sank. He remembered that in the original history, Emperor Zhengde fell into the water at Qingjiangpu during his southern tour. After that, his health deteriorated and he finally died in the Leopard House in March of the 16th year of Zhengde, at the age of 31.

Now that Emperor Zhengde did not make the southern tour as in history, could he still not escape falling into the water?

He immediately sent a handwritten letter to the Imperial Medical Bureau, requesting the imperial doctors there to always pay attention to the health of His Majesty, and that he would complete the work at hand as soon as possible and strive to return to the capital as soon as possible.

The reason why Ou Zanghua came to Quanzhou was to investigate why this port city from the Song and Yuan dynasties declined during the Ming Dynasty.

In the early Ming Dynasty, the imperial court briefly inherited the openness of the Yuan Dynasty and was committed to promoting and expanding the scope of foreign trade.

To this end, the imperial court specially established Maritime Customs Offices in important ports such as Taicang, Huangdu, Quanzhou, Mingzhou and Guangzhou to manage and promote overseas trade.

In the first year of the Hongwu reign, the Ming Dynasty sent envoys to Goryeo and Annan. After that, it sent envoys to Champa, Java, Japan, Western Zodiac, Siam, Srivijaya, Brunei, Cambodia and Ryukyu in succession to ensure the continuation of the economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries that had been going on since the Song and Yuan dynasties.

However, this open attitude could not be maintained for long. In the third year of Hongwu, the imperial court resolutely abolished the Taicang and Huangdu Maritime Customs Offices. Then in the seventh year of Hongwu, the Maritime Customs Offices in Quanzhou, Mingzhou and Guangzhou were also abolished one after another.

What is even more severe is that from the fourth year to the twenty-seventh year of Hongwu, the imperial court issued four consecutive strict orders that "no ship is allowed to go to the sea", strictly prohibiting coastal residents from going out to sea privately to trade with foreign countries, and the enforcement was unprecedentedly strict.

Therefore, Zhu Yuanzhang must bear some responsibility for the decline of Quanzhou.

The other part is due to foreign races and Zhang Shicheng.

In the 17th year of Zhizheng at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the volunteer soldiers Sepuddin and Amiri al-Din launched a rebellion here.

Immediately afterwards, in the 22nd year of Zhizheng, Nawu Na, the governor of Quanzhou and a key figure who had been in charge of the foreign trade, also launched a new round of rebellion. This rebellion was not quelled until the 26th year of Zhizheng. The scope of its impact and the depth of its destruction were rare in history.

After that, Zhang Shicheng came again. He divided tens of thousands of troops into small groups and dispersed them to the homes of ordinary people, forcing every three families to support one soldier. This move increased the burden on the people and sowed the seeds for the people's resistance later.

When Ou Zanghua learned about Zhang Shicheng's brilliant move, he couldn't help but sigh that he was truly worthy of being the Phoenix of the late Yuan Dynasty.

In this way, we can make a simple summary.

Player Jin Dynasty discovered Quanzhou, player Tang Dynasty started to kill monsters and level up, player Song Dynasty upgraded equipment, and player Yuan Dynasty obtained S-level equipment. As a result, after a series of operations, the S-level equipment was disassembled, but fortunately some materials were left.

Player Zhang Shicheng came online and wasted the better materials.

Player Zhu Yuanzhang came online, with few materials left. He wanted to start over, but found too many wild monsters, so he simply banned his account.

When the player Zhu Jianshen came online, all his materials were gone, so he created a new account (in the eighth year of Chenghua, the Maritime Customs Office under the Fujian Provincial Administration was moved to Fuzhou, and Quanzhou Port has since become a general port).

Since Quanzhou had been abandoned, why could Ou Zanghua still see the scene of thousands of ships passing by and tens of thousands of boats setting sail?
Because the place where he was was called Anhai Port, which was the first seaport established in Quanzhou and also the place where smuggling was most rampant in the Ming Dynasty.

The court's implementation of a maritime ban aroused strong resentment among private merchants and local tyrants who had made their fortunes from overseas trade.

Although the law explicitly prohibits it, people are driven by profit and take risks. Even if they face heavy penalties, there is still an endless stream of offenders. Although the maritime ban is strict, it is difficult to eradicate it, and it has a tendency to intensify. In this fierce conflict, Anhai Port gradually emerged and became the most important base for private smuggling trade in southern Fujian.

There are two main reasons why smugglers favor Anhai Port.

First of all, there are many deep bays and hidden places around Anhai Port, which provide excellent hiding places for private trade ships. It is also close to the open sea, so once there is any disturbance, the ships can quickly sail to the open sea to avoid the wind.

Hu Zongxian wrote in "Chou Hai Tu Pian": "Although Quanzhou Anhai had trade with foreign countries in the past, it was still cautious. Now that foreign ships are coming in droves, this place has become a convenient place for loading and unloading goods, and all goods have a place to rely on."

Huang Kan also mentioned in "A Report on Sea Disasters" that when Japanese ships arrived in Anhai, profit-seeking merchants from all over the country gathered there. Even the ignorant local people took the opportunity to go out to sea, carrying wine, meat, firewood, rice and other items, forming a lively market in the Haimen area.

Secondly, the Anping merchants of the Ming Dynasty had rich experience in overseas smuggling trade. They could not only shuttle through the rough seas and compete for the interests of islands and remote areas, but also travel all over the country and engage in trafficking between rivers and lakes.

These wealthy merchants carried large amounts of money to buy precious items such as cotton, pepper, wood fragrance, ivory, pearls, jade, etc., and went to the two capitals, Suzhou and Hangzhou, Linqing, Sichuan and Shaanxi, Jiangguang and other places to sell them. At the same time, they also bought local silk, brocade, felt, boots and socks and other items to ship back. This way of doing business by Anping merchants linked domestic trade with foreign trade and formed a huge trade network.

There were many Anping merchants in Anhai Port. Li Guangjin of the Ming Dynasty described it in his book Jingbi Collection: "In Anping, the people value commerce. Since the opening of the Luzon trade route, every household has been competing to go to sea for profit. Almost nine out of ten families are involved in this business."

Among them was a famous private trader named Li Yuxi, who moved to South Australia and traded with foreign businessmen. Because he was proficient in foreign languages, his profits far exceeded those of others and he became a middle-class businessman in the local area.

With the opening of the Port of Luzon, Li Yuxi personally went overseas to seek business opportunities. Later, people from Anping followed suit and many outstanding maritime merchants emerged. They were therefore hailed as superior businessmen.

At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Zheng maritime merchant group headed by Zheng Zhilong from Anhai emerged, marking the unprecedented heyday of overseas smuggling trade activities in Anhai Port.

The reason why the Ming Dynasty was considered by later generations to be the place where the sprouts of capitalism appeared is closely related to Li Guangjin.

After Jia Yi's "Food and Money Records" in the Han Dynasty, few important works on business theory were published in China.

It was not until the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty that the great scholar Li Guangjin clearly put forward the idea of emphasizing commerce in his work "Jingbi Collection".

But Li Guangjin retained the Confucian conscience. Although he advocated business, he was by no means a profit-seeking person.

On the contrary, he had a very clear understanding of the dark sides of society at that time, such as collusion between officials and businessmen and land annexation.

The great man is so cunning that he can stir up the waves of the sea.

The evildoers of the lower classes were confiscated and taken over by the officials.

This is because one should not move. If one moves, then he will be boastful.

From this we can see that although this great scholar supported business, he also had insight into the dark side of businessmen's nature and the possible negative consequences of the impulsive pursuit of profit.

Unfortunately, after its publication, Jingbi Collection did not attract the attention of scholars and officials. It was merely circulated in the world as a personal opinion and its influence was limited.

More than a hundred years later in the West, Adam Smith, known as the father of mercantilism, completed his magnum opus "The Wealth of Nations".

This work, with a rigorous and complete theoretical system, expounds the basic theoretical framework of modern national business development strategy. It is highly instructive and ultimately became the founding work of an era.

At this time, the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs was heard, and Yu Dayou brought up pen, ink, paper and inkstone.

Ou Zanghua looked at the harbor in the distance and drew it.

"Dayou, is it possible for the court to recruit a group of Anping people and train them to become a navy?"

Hearing his master's question, Yu Dayou answered truthfully: "I'm afraid it's a bit difficult. Previously, the captain of the Central Left came here to recruit soldiers, but the sailors refused decisively when they heard the salary. They bluntly said that serving as a soldier in the court for a year did not earn as much as going out to sea once."

"More importantly, the court's salaries have not been paid on time. The previous rebellion of the Three Guards in Fuzhou was also caused by this."

When Ou Zanghua heard this, he lost control of his wrist and a drop of ink fell on the painting. He narrowed his eyes and continued to paint as if nothing had happened. He said in a cold voice: "They are guarding Fuzhou City and they are still short of food for three months. It's not a pity for those rubbish to die!"

It took Ou Zanghua nearly two hours to finish the two paintings, one was "A Thousand Sails Passing By" and the other was "Looking Eastward at the Sea and Sky". After the ink dried, he rolled them up and put them away.

"The time is almost up, Dayou, let's go!"

"Yes, Master."

The two walked down from the tall building, and the originally bustling street gradually became quiet.

Ou Zanghua took a quick look and found that the people sitting here had changed from porters and merchants to a group of sailors with fierce eyes and shabby clothes.

"Master, there's something wrong with these people." Yu Dayou's eyes focused and he placed one hand on the hilt of the sword.

"It's okay. Your master is the best swordsman in the world." Ou Zanghua was calm and slowly walked through the crowd with Yu Dayou.

At this moment, a one-eyed man suddenly smashed the wine bowl. This action was like a stone that caused a thousand ripples. Everyone at the scene stood up, the sound of wine bowls falling to the ground came one after another, and the aroma of wine filled the entire street.

"Kill!!!" Hundreds of people roared in unison, like a violent wave. They overturned tables and chairs, drew out all kinds of weapons, and rushed towards Ou Zanghua and Yu Dayou.

A cold light flashed, and the long sword Feng He Ji Yue was unsheathed in an instant.

Facing the pirates who were as fierce as wolves and tigers, Ou Zanghua did not move, but his sword stabbed out like lightning, accurately hitting the Juque acupoint of the first pirate. The pirate paused and then fell down.

Ou Zanghua shook his wrist slightly, and the long sword was retracted like a dragon. Then he swung another sword, piercing the second pirate's Dan Zhong point.

Then he turned his wrist, and the long sword flew through flowers like a butterfly, piercing the vital parts of the two people behind him who wanted to launch a sneak attack. They fell to the ground before they could even make any sound.

He moved forward and swept the sword, spun his wrist and made a feint, and in a flash of phantom he went straight for the enemy's waist. Then he turned his body nimbly and the sword swept past like a dragon's tail, all in one go.

He turned his head and glanced at his disciples, only to see You Yu was engaged in a fierce battle and the situation was quite critical. He immediately kicked the wooden stool beside him, knocking two people away, and then he leaped to the side of his disciples.

"Master!" Yu Dayou was moved.

Ou Zanghua said calmly: "Concentrate your energy in your Dantian, concentrate, and attack with confidence."

"Yes!"

Yu Dayou roared, swung his sword down, and a sharp whistle sounded.

The pirate wanted to resist, but unexpectedly Yu Dayou suddenly changed his tactics. With an extremely light side stab, he ended his sinful life.

At this moment, a large number of soldiers in civilian clothes emerged from the other end of the street. They were well-trained and moved quickly. The soldiers in the front row held wooden shields, like a moving wall, providing solid cover for their comrades in the rear.

The soldiers in the back row held crossbows and arrows poured out like raindrops, accurately and ruthlessly shooting at these lawless pirates.

When the one-eyed pirate saw this scene, he was quite surprised and asked: "A training されているのは, a soldier でしょうか? A どうしてここにappearing れたの?" (So well-trained, are you a soldier? Why are you there? here?!)
Yu Dayou was startled and subconsciously turned his head to look at Ou Zanghua.

Ou Zanghua had a gloomy face as he led his apprentice to join forces with the elite soldiers from the Fifth Army Camp. With the addition of this group of soldiers, the disorganized pirates were quickly defeated.

Seeing this, the one-eyed pirate turned around and ran away, cursing all the time.

Ou Zanghua leaped forward and used his lightness skills to catch up.

The two of them started a chase in the intricate streets and alleys. The one-eyed pirate turned his head and looked back from time to time while running. He saw Ou Zanghua's light figure, climbing walls and flying over eaves. His movements were agile and graceful. He shuttled freely in the narrow alleys and strolled leisurely like an immortal. He couldn't help but complain: "Why can you be so handsome?!"

Suddenly, Ou Zanghua kicked a clothesline and it flew towards the one-eyed pirate.

The one-eyed pirate reacted extremely quickly, and with a clean roll to the side, he narrowly avoided the sudden attack. Cold sweat streamed down his forehead, and a trace of fear of Ou Zanghua's strength flashed in his eyes.

Ou Zanghua floated down and blocked his way, and asked coldly: "You are not from Japan, what is your name?"

"The devil understands what you are saying!" (The devil understands what you are saying!)
"Still pretending!"

"うるさい!kill してしまえ! (You're so noisy, I'll kill you!)"

As soon as he finished speaking, the one-eyed pirate began to jump on one foot, suddenly leaped forward and slashed with his sword at an angle. His speed was so fast that Ou Zanghua had never seen before.

However, Ou Zanghua's swordsmanship was already perfect. The long sword in his hand, Feng He Jiu Yue, was like a spirit snake. It suddenly stabbed out, with the tip of the sword pointing directly at the throat of the one-eyed pirate, and the cold light was intimidating.

The one-eyed pirate was startled and immediately retreated rapidly, trying to avoid the fatal blow.

But how could Ou Zanghua let him go easily? He followed him like a shadow, chasing him relentlessly, his long sword drawing a bright sword light in the air and slashing down.

Seeing this, the one-eyed pirate moved left again, intending to dodge with his agile body movements. However, Ou Zanghua's swordsmanship was so exquisite that it was far beyond his imagination. He saw the long sword flexibly changing its moves in the air, from chopping to slashing in an instant, tightly following the one-eyed pirate's evasive trajectory, following him like a shadow.

"Hah!" The one-eyed pirate yelled angrily, and his body became faster. He twisted his waist to avoid the sword that was sure to hit him.

He immediately swung his sword diagonally, which was both an attack and more of a defense to avoid being stuck to Ou Zanghua again.

Ou Zanghua's feet swayed, he leaned forward to dodge, and then slashed with his sword.

This time the one-eyed pirate was unable to avoid it and was cut with a long wound on his body, with blood flowing out.

“It hurts!”

The one-eyed pirate hissed and immediately distanced himself from Ou Zanghua.

"You still don't want to confess?"

Ou Zanghua looked at the other party's actions and suddenly said, "Please tell me your name!"

"え?! あなたは日本语ができますね! (Eh?! You can speak Japanese!)" The one-eyed pirate stared at his single eye and muttered to himself: "やばい! (Oops!)"

Before he could finish his words, the one-eyed pirate repeated his old tricks in an attempt to escape again.

How could Ou Zanghua give him a chance? He flashed and chased after him.

Unexpectedly, the one-eyed pirate was extremely cunning. While running, he suddenly kicked the wall and twisted his waist. The whole person seemed to be a flying swallow in the air. With an unstoppable sharp force, he slashed across, and the blade came towards Ou Zanghua's throat.

Ou Zanghua bent down hard and narrowly avoided the knife. His long sword pierced out like a snake's breath and pierced the one-eyed pirate's heart.

When he drew out his sword, Gao Kexin arrived with more than 20 elite soldiers. He was relieved to see that Ou Zanghua was unharmed. Then he bowed and said, "Sir Ou, don't take such risks next time!"

"Don't worry, you know my strength." Ou Zanghua waved his hand and asked, "What about those people on the street?"

Gao Kexin sighed helplessly, and then said: "To reply to your words, the brothers over there are still fighting."

"Take this body and go back for support!"

"Yes!"

When Ou Zanghua returned, most of the more than 200 pirates had been killed, and Yu Dayou also captured 17 people. These people were strictly guarded by the elite soldiers of the Five Military Camps and interrogated by the Embroidered Uniform Guards, and torture was naturally inevitable.

Ou Zanghua looked at the sky and without even bothering to change his clothes, he led Yu Dayou into the carriage and rushed all the way to a winery in Quanzhou City.

When Yu Dayou was still a little confused, he saw that the two people sitting in the winery were his father and teacher, Yu Yuanzan and Zhao Benxue.

When Ou Zanghua entered the room, he bowed and said, "I'm sorry, I encountered something on the way and kept you waiting for a long time."

"Master Ou!"

Yu Yuanzan and Zhao Benxue quickly stood up to return the greeting, only to see bloodstains on Ou Zanghua's clothes. Looking at Yu Dayou standing next to him, they saw that his clothes were cut in several holes.

The two were a little confused. This didn't seem like a small problem!
"I specially invited you two to a banquet this time because there is something I did on my own initiative without your permission."

Ou Zanghua glanced at Yu Dayou beside him and said softly, "When I first met Dayou, I knew he was a talented person with great potential. I liked him very much, so I accepted him as my apprentice."

When Yu Yuanzan heard this, he was overjoyed. He had never expected that this silly boy of his could be favored by the Minister of Rites.

Zhao Benxue looked at his beloved disciple. Even though he felt very reluctant, he couldn't say anything to ruin his future. It was just that he was afraid that his skills would be lost.
Ou Zanghua saw the reactions of the two men and said gently, "In a few days, I will return to Beijing. If Dayou follows me back to Beijing, he will have to come back to take the provincial examination soon, which is really tiring. So I think I should let Dayou stay in Quanzhou and come to Beijing to find me after taking the provincial examination. I have heard from Wang Yangming about Mr. Xuzhou's ability, so please take care of him."

Zhao Benxue was stunned at first, but when he saw Ou Zanghua's frank expression, he immediately understood. He was somewhat moved and bowed, saying, "Thank you very much, Lord Ou, for your help!"

Ou Zanghua then gave the painting "Looking Eastward at the Sea and Sky" to Zhao Benxue as an apology for stealing his student.

After some push and pull from both sides, Zhao Benxue finally accepted it.

In November of the fifteenth year of the Zhengde reign, when snow was falling in the capital, Ou Zanghua returned after being away from Beijing for a year and five months.

He first went to the palace, and only felt relieved when he saw Emperor Zhengde, who was eating well and in good health.

After handing over the tiger talismans of the Five Military Camps and the Shenji Camp, Emperor Zhengde ordered someone to bring his one-year-old son Zhu Zaiyao to show Ou Zanghua.

Emperor Zhengde held Zhu Zaiyao in his arms and boasted to Ou Zanghua, "Mr. Ou, what do you think of my child? Is he as vigorous as a dragon or a tiger? He looks like a benevolent emperor!"

Ou Zanghua looked at Zhu Zaiyao. Although he looked weathered, this fat boy actually smiled at him, revealing a few white baby teeth.

Upon seeing this, Emperor Zhengde laughed and said, "Oh! You laugh when you see Lord Ou. You should grow up first before you compete with me for the position of Prime Minister! Hahahaha"

Ou Zanghua's eyes were gentle, and he bowed and said, "Then I would like to thank Your Majesty first."

"No need to thank me first. I have already issued two imperial decrees, one of which is for Mr. Ou to join the cabinet."

Emperor Zhengde held Zhu Zaiyao in his arms and said seriously, "The second thing is to appoint this boy as the crown prince. The crown prince's teacher hasn't come back yet, so the crown prince has to wait first."

Ou Zanghua was slightly stunned, then bowed and said, "Thank you very much, Your Majesty, for your kindness!"

"Mr. Ou, this beautiful country depends on you and me!" Emperor Zhengde said happily as he looked at the flying snow outside the window.

In the first month of the 16th year of Zhengde, Ou Zanghua, the Minister of Rites, the Chancellor of the Chancellery, and the Minister of the Ministry of Rites, was concurrently appointed as the Grand Secretary of Wenyuan Pavilion and entered the cabinet to participate in the affairs of the cabinet.

During this period of recuperation, the South China Sea Navy and the East China Sea Navy were initially established based on the Poyang Lake Navy.

In the 20th year of Zhengde's reign, Ou Zanghua presided over the compilation of the "Regulations on Imperial Clan Members" to count the number of members of the imperial clan. In the same year, the management of the imperial clan members' descendants was relaxed, allowing them to make a living on their own.

In the 25th year of Zhengde's reign, the chief minister Fei Hong was unwell and submitted his resignation letter six times. The Zhengde Emperor issued an edict praising Fei Hong and ordered the officials to inquire about his condition from time to time. He also gave Fei Hong a monthly salary of eight stones.

In the same year, Ou Zanghua was appointed as the Prince's Grand Tutor, Minister of the Ministry of Revenue and Grand Secretary of the Jinshen Palace, and was promoted to the Chief Minister of the Cabinet. He was 38 years old at the time and was the youngest Chief Minister of the Cabinet in the Ming Dynasty.

In the 30th year of the Zhengde reign, Japanese pirates attacked the Penghu Islands. The imperial court was furious and ordered Tang Shunzhi, the Minister of the Honglu Temple, Yu Dayou, the Governor of the East China Sea Navy, and Ou Qing, the Captain of the Five Military Camps Cavalry Battalion, to lead an army of 40,000 to land in Japan to demand punishment. However, the King of Japan did not repent and dared to resist. Tang Shunzhi, Yu Dayou, and Ou Qing divided their troops into three groups, attacked the Kyoto Imperial Palace, captured the King of Go-Nara alive, and presented the captive in front of the Meridian Gate.

In the following three years, Ou Qing followed Yu Dayou and defeated the fleets of Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, England, France and other countries, becoming famous all over the world. The two were called the "Twin Pillars of the Empire" by gossipers.

In the 33rd year of the Zhengde reign, the 21-year-old Ou Yue won the top spot in the imperial examination. He was the second top spot in the imperial examination, which became a popular topic at the time.

In the 34th year of Zhengde's reign, Ou Qing, the governor of the Five Military Camps, married Princess Zhu Mingyue.

In the same year, Emperor Zhengde convened a royal meeting and summoned all the princes in the Ming Dynasty to the capital to negotiate reforms with them, clearly telling them that they had only two options.

First, the vassal states were established in Java, Aceh, Johor, Perak, Banten, Sulu Islands and other places. The imperial court stationed troops to maintain public order, and the military expenses of the vassal states were borne by the vassal states.

Second, they could stay in the Ming Dynasty, but the court would only retain the salaries of the three ranks of prince, duke, and general guarding the country. The following ranks of general supporting the country, general serving the country, lieutenant guarding the country, lieutenant supporting the country, and lieutenant serving the country would only retain the titles, and all welfare salaries would be cancelled.

After some negotiations, except for a few small fiefs, most of the large fiefs decided to establish their own kingdoms overseas.

Therefore, from the 34th year of Zhengde to the 40th year of Zhengde, the East China Sea Navy and the South China Sea Navy of the Ming Dynasty worked for various vassal states, destroying one small country after another and allowing the vassal states to be established.

In the 41st year of Zhengde's reign, the 56-year-old Emperor Zhengde abdicated, and the 28-year-old Zhu Zaiyao ascended the throne and named the reign Renhe.

After Zhu Houzhao retired, he took Empress Xia to travel around the world. In his words, he had worked for forty-one years and he had to go out and see what the world looked like, otherwise he would die with regrets.

Ou Zanghua originally wanted to resign, as he also wanted to go for a walk and have a look, but Emperor Renhe did not allow it and forced him to stay.

In the spring of the first year of Renhe, when Ou Zanghua was checking the list of successful candidates, he saw a familiar name and immediately smiled happily. He said to his second son Ou Yue beside him: "I finally waited for him!"

Ou Yue looked down and saw the ninth place in the second class, Huguang Jingzhou, Zhang Juzheng!

In this year, Ou Zanghua was 55 years old. He was the Prince's Grand Tutor, the Minister of the Ministry of Revenue and the Grand Secretary of the Jinshen Palace, and the Chief Minister of the Ming Cabinet.

Ou Qing was 33 years old. He was the governor of the Right Army Governor's Office, the governor of the Five Army Camps, and the commander of the imperial concubine.

Ou Yue was thirty years old and was the Right Vice Minister of the Ministry of Works.

Yu Dayou was 43 years old and the governor of Liaodong.

Tang Shunzhi was 39 years old and was the Minister of the Honglu Temple and the Left Vice Minister of the Ministry of Rites.

Zhang Juzheng was granted the title of Shujishi at the age of 23.

A new era has arrived.

Poetry:

Wake up the dormant dragon and make it fly, wipe out the evil flames and evil spirit fire, and slash the whale with the sword.

The world is full of spring, and the sun shines red on the flag!
(End of the book)

 从2024年3月11号开始写这本书,到今天12月6号,共计九个月。

In the middle of September, due to work reasons, I thought about completing the settlement.

But seeing that there are still many book lovers following the book, it seems a bit irresponsible to end it so hastily, so I squeeze in time to update.

It wasn't until the end of October that I finally had time.

I have been writing like this until today, and finally filled all the big holes that can be filled. The remaining small holes will be filled in the subsequent extra chapters.

As many book lovers have noticed, the book has deviated from the topic after writing more than a hundred chapters.

As you can tell from the title of the book, I originally wanted to write a comprehensive article on military science.

After finishing The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, I will go on to The Legend of the Condor Heroes, and then create an original prequel to Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, writing the story of the Xiaoyao Sect.

After finishing writing the plot about marrying Liu Qing, I found myself a little out of control.

I have mentioned the reason before, because I can’t imagine how devastated Ou Zanghua would be if he went to a world without Liu Qing and Lao Liu.

Ou Zanghua is the child rescued by Lao Liu, and he also watched Liu Qing grow up, and this feeling is inseparable.

So, let’s stay in the Ming Dynasty!
However, the plot of The Smiling, Proud Wanderer has ended, and there is still more than a hundred years before the plot of The Sword Stained with Royal Blood, so there is no way to connect to it, and we can only follow the historical line.

God knows how much hair I lost when I was looking up information about the Ming Dynasty. I was clearly writing a martial arts novel!
This is my first signed and completed book, and it was not possible without the support of all my fellow book lovers. I am very, very grateful to you all!
For the next book, I will learn from the experience and lessons of this book and try my best to write a qualified story about the underworld.

Thanks again to all the book friends and bosses!

  Good night~
