Chapter 152 God Ego, Mantis Woman
Captain Marvel's body faintly emanated golden light. She clenched her fists tightly, her eyes turning cold: "Are you from Frieza's army??"

Carol realized that if these people weren't Frieza's men, why would they be in this godforsaken place?

But after hearing this, Peter Quill immediately waved his hand and shook his head rapidly, like a rattle-drum:

"No, no, no, that's not the case anymore. Our bottom line is flexible. If you have a grudge against him, please don't come after us for revenge!"

These words left Carol completely bewildered.

But after a moment's hesitation, she silently withdrew her power. Captain Marvel was not a bloodthirsty person, and besides, since they had saved her, it was a life-saving grace. Even if they really were Frieza's army, there was no need to take action.

However, the next second, Carol suddenly woke up with a start. Wait, what did the person on the other end of the line say?
Cooler is dead, and Frieza's entire clan has been wiped out?
Are you kidding me?

Carol, who had personally fought Gura, was instantly terrified and found it hard to accept this fact.

She hadn't even defeated Cooler in its first stage, but when she woke up one morning, Cooler was dead!
But since this message came from Frieza's trusted inner circle, isn't it credible?
"So, Frieza's cosmic empire has just collapsed?"

For a moment, Captain Marvel's eyes seemed a little dazed.

“We need to be careful and lay low for a while, Quill. Things are probably not going to be peaceful in the universe.”

"You should know that they are a space pirate empire that has been running rampant in the universe for generations. Once internal strife breaks out, the number of planets affected will be considerable."

The rocket immediately offered its opinion, and the usual cheerful atmosphere on the entire spacecraft was dampened by this news.

Peter Quill nodded: "Indeed, we need to find a planet to stay on as soon as possible. I once heard Yondu say that we must never attack Frieza under any circumstances; it's a taboo among space pirates."

"It is said that every pirate in the universe is honored to join them. As early as ancient times, Frieza's ancestor, Zild, was the largest force among space pirates."

"By now, their empire has existed for at least several cosmic eras. It's really hard to believe that it fell apart overnight."

Not only Captain Marvel, but even the Guardians of the Galaxy found it hard to believe. They were all powerful figures who roamed the universe, but compared to the truly top-tier individuals, they still had to show them respect.

But now, even the Frieza clan, which was at the top, has been wiped out in an instant.

In a daze, Carol recalled that when she fainted, she seemed to hear Cooler mention that Frieza, the emperor of Namek, was about to gain immortality, and that they should rush over to get a share of it.

Could it be that there was some internal strife within their family?

What exactly happened on Namek that caused such a massive change in the universe?

"Quail, do you think it's possible that they're fighting amongst themselves?"

Drax shared Captain Marvel's opinion, but Star-Lord disagreed, shaking his head.
"Impossible. As long as the Kurdish king is still alive, Frieza and Gura will not fight each other to the point of bloodshed."

"Moreover, the entire galaxy was destroyed. What kind of deep-seated hatred could cause that?"

After hearing Star-Lord's words, Carol pondered for a moment, then suddenly spoke:
"I want to investigate this matter."

The group was stunned for a moment after hearing this. Peter Quill opened his mouth and asked, "Uh, sorry, ma'am, I overlooked you earlier. May I ask what brings you here?"

Do you know what happened here?

Upon hearing this, Carol immediately recounted to Star-Lord and the others how she had been invited to join forces with various factions to besiege Gura and King Kurd, leaving everyone speechless.

"So, you've fought Gura before??"

Peter Quill's eyes widened. He had heard from his master Ginyu more than once about Frieza's terrifying power. This woman was actually able to fight Cooler—just how strong was she? At least the Star Fleet couldn't handle her, right?

"I lost."

Carol's eyes dimmed slightly, and she simply replied, "Many people died, all of them brutally killed in battle. But that's why I know how strong they were. They were opponents that couldn't be won against by sheer numbers."

"I have to go to the Namek system to see what's going on. Something unimaginable must have happened."

Carol fidgeted with her fingers, her expression occasionally flashing with worry.

Thinking of this, she turned around and was about to open the hatch, but Peter Quill, seeing her covered in wounds, couldn't help but say, "I'm sorry, ma'am, I won't lend you the spaceship."

“Especially since you are injured right now, it would not be gentlemanly to ask you to leave.”

Hearing this, Captain Marvel turned around and smiled, her long golden hair reflected in the starry sky beside her:
“I’m sorry, Mr. Star-Lord, I never said I wanted to lend it.”

The next second, to everyone's astonishment, Carol, bathed in golden light like the sun, floated in space through the hatch.

"Oh, cool!"

"I'm Groot!"

Drax and Groot stared wide-eyed with envy, like fans looking at their idols, their eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Well, that's quite an impressive power."

Peter Quill said with great admiration that under Ginyu's tutelage, he had also mastered some of the power of the stars within him during this period. Although he could not yet travel across space, he could still survive in outer space.

Ginyu once said that even he was wary of the power within Star-Lord. In fact, if he hadn't truly discovered Star-Lord's talent, Ginyu wouldn't have actually taken him on as a disciple.

"boom!!!"

Suddenly, at that moment, a burst of fire erupted, and the side of the spaceship was suddenly attacked by a planet-destroying cannon. The shaking inside almost caused everyone to stumble and fall.

"What happened? What's going on?"

"The spaceship is under attack! Damn it, it's the Iluds! They've caught up!!"

"Are you kidding me?! How could they possibly have crossed that planetary cluster?!"

"Oh, damn it, what is that giant???"

Seeing that they were under attack, the group frantically maneuvered their spaceship to dodge, but when they saw what was attacking them, they all broke out in a cold sweat.

Above the surrounding starry sea, a fleet stretching as far as the eye could see suddenly appeared, and a group of extremely strange-looking humanoid creatures coldly watched them from inside a massive warship.

They had backward-curving bull horns on their heads, and their bloodshot eyes were devoid of any emotion. Their expressionless faces made them seem as if they had been deprived of their minds and reduced to puppets.

Right at the very center of the starship, a gigantic Ilud, as large as a mountain, floated coldly in space, staring at them!

Rocket Raccoon's lips twitched: "Okay, I think I know how they got through that planetary cluster now."

In the darkness, the light shone for miles, and to everyone's surprise, Captain Marvel was the first to rush forward.
