"From this day forward, his Dharma name will be Xuanzang. You shall teach him the Dharma, so that he may know the suffering of the world, and that only the Dharma can save all sentient beings." "Don't worry, Bodhisattva, this humble monk will definitely ensure that Xuanzang has the faith to obtain the true scriptures."

"Since that's the case, I'll leave this matter to you. I won't leave, so you can rest assured to teach me."

Xuanzang must not be harmed; this was a consensus between Guanyin and the abbot of Jinshan Temple.

"Yes, Bodhisattva."

After hearing this, the old woman took out a black bag from her bosom.

"Sir, I sell cassocks and have been searching for a suitable owner, but no one has been able to match my cassocks. I have given up searching and hope to find someone to sell the cassocks."

When Li Shimin heard the word "cassock," his heart stirred.

Who is a person destined to be with you?

The old woman was about to be driven away when she suddenly heard the sound of a carriage.

The old woman explained it to him.

"My robe can only be worn by those who have attained the highest level of Buddhist practice."

"If you are destined, that person will be able to reveal the true face of the cassock."

The guards dismissed her words as nonsense.

When the black bag was opened, there was a tattered kasaya inside.

"You're saying this can be sold?! Who are you trying to fool?"

The guard held a knife to the old woman's neck.

Unexpectedly, a young monk walked by, exuding a pure and upright aura that made people feel approachable.

The guard turned his sword towards him.

The young monk was not afraid.

“If you don’t want her, why not let her go? The old woman has had a hard life; it’s really not right to take her life.”

Xuanzang spoke up for the old woman.

The old woman saw Xuanzang and grabbed his arm.

"It's you! Hahaha, you're the one destined for me. I'll give you this robe."

Xuanzang refused the gifts offered to him by the old woman.

"Grandpa, I can't accept your things."

The old woman was very persistent.

“This robe was prepared for you. It is priceless in itself, but because it is for you, it has no price.”
