American comics: Play as Kizaru and get off work in three seconds
Chapter 537 The Man in Black is Discovered!
"Handsome my foot!"
Oliver glared at him irritably and walked toward the wreckage of the truck. "Stop talking nonsense and get to work."
Felicity is right; Quinn Enterprises' equipment cannot fall into other people's hands.
The two walked to the truck. The metal on the front of the truck was completely twisted, the engine was emitting black smoke, and the air was filled with the smell of burnt rubber.
Qin Yang squatted down to inspect the cargo in the truck bed, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper. "This truck contains not only experimental equipment, but also several boxes of sealed reagent bottles, labeled 'M-17'."
Have you ever seen this thing before?
Oliver leaned closer and glanced at it in the dim light. His expression turned serious. "M-17... I've never heard of it, but judging from the packaging, it seems to be a confidential project within Quinn Enterprises."
"Felicity, can you find out what the M-17 is?"
After a few seconds of silence in the headset, Felicity's voice came through again, tinged with unease, "I'm hacking into Quinn Enterprises' database, but the M-17 data is too heavily encrypted."
Initially, it appears to be some kind of biological agent, most likely a derivative of Mirakuru.
You'd better be careful and avoid direct contact.
"Biologics?"
Qin Yang's eyes turned cold. He picked up a bottle of reagent; the bottle was cold, and the liquid inside glowed with an eerie blue fluorescence under the light. "If it really is a derivative of Mirakuru, then Slade's goal is not just to steal the equipment."
Oliver nodded, his voice low. "He wants to build an army of enhanced humans."
If Starling falls into his hands, the consequences will be unimaginable.
He paused, then turned his gaze to Qin Yang, "How exactly did you manage to crash that car just now? Don't tell me you're an enhanced human too."
Qin Yang smiled and said casually, "Enhanced human? Oliver, you underestimate me."
I didn't rely on any drugs; my strength... well, I guess it's a natural gift.
He patted Oliver on the shoulder. "Don't worry about this. Hurry up and move these reagents away, lest something goes wrong."
The two men began clearing the cargo from the truck, their movements swift yet careful.
The night wind grew colder, and the sound of police sirens could be heard in the distance; the police in Starling City had clearly become aware of the riot.
While carrying the test kits, Qin Yang whispered to Oliver, "The police are here, we need to speed things up."
"Felicity, do you have an evacuation route?"
“It’s already been planned!”
Felicity's voice came through the earpiece, "You guys retreat through the alley behind the truck. There's an abandoned van at the end of the alley. I've hacked its system, so you can just drive it away."
"Hurry up, the police will be here in three minutes!"
"receive."
Qin Yang shouldered the last box of reagents, turned to Oliver, and said, "You go first, I'll cover you."
If any escape, I'll handle it.
Oliver frowned, clearly uneasy. "Qin Yang, don't try to be a hero."
Slade's team doesn't just consist of this one enhanced human.
"Don't worry, Green Arrow."
Qin Yang grinned, revealing a set of white teeth, "I haven't lived enough yet."
Hurry up and get going, don't hold me back.
Oliver shook his head helplessly and ran towards the alley with the two boxes of reagents in his arms.
Qin Yang stood beside the truck, his gaze sweeping across the surrounding darkness, a sense of unease hanging in the air.
He narrowed his eyes and muttered to himself, "Slade, you'd better not show your face now, or I can't guarantee I'll spare your life."
Just then, a series of deep, rhythmic footsteps came from the depths of the alley, as if some enormous creature was approaching.
Qin Yang's eyes sharpened. He put down the reagent box in his hand and assumed a fighting stance. "Looks like trouble has come knocking on my door."
A tall figure emerged from the darkness, clad in black tactical gear, with a mask covering half his face, revealing only a single, cold eye.
Slade Wilson, the Deadshot.
His voice was deep and hoarse, filled with undisguised killing intent, "Qin Yang, I've heard of you."
"I didn't expect you to be so skilled; you even managed to defeat my enhanced human."
Qin Yang sneered and cracked his knuckles. "Slade, you're quite well-informed."
"What, are you coming here to die in person?"
Slade drew his twin swords from his waist, the blades gleaming coldly in the moonlight. "Trying to die? Kid, you're too arrogant."
Mirakuru was just an appetizer; tonight I'll see just how tough you really are.
Without another word, Qin Yang flashed forward and charged toward Slade.
The two clashed in the alley, their swords flashing and fists clashing, the sound of metal clashing echoing in the night sky.
Slade's knife skills were sharp, each strike carrying deadly force, but Qin Yang was faster and stronger, each punch like a heavy hammer, forcing Slade to retreat step by step.
"That's it?"
Qin Yang slammed his fist into Slade's longsword, bending and deforming the blade. "I thought Death Shooter was so powerful, but he can't even withstand my fist?"
Slade snorted coldly, suddenly stepped back, pulled out a pistol, and pointed it directly at Qin Yang. "Don't get too cocky, kid."
"Your fists are fast, but can they stop a bullet?"
"Would you like to know if you try it?"
Qin Yang grinned, his body suddenly accelerating as a bullet grazed his shoulder, sending sparks flying.
He punched Slade's mask. Slade dodged to the side, but was still grazed by the force of the punch, and a crack appeared in the mask.
"Damn it!"
Slade cursed under his breath, flipped over and leaped onto the wall beside him, using the momentum to jump to a high point in the alley. "Qin Yang, I'll remember this debt."
We'll see you later!"
After saying that, he threw out a smoke bomb, and thick smoke instantly filled the entire alley.
Qin Yang stood still, squinting as he sensed his surroundings. When the smoke cleared, Slade had vanished without a trace.
He frowned and muttered to himself, "They run pretty fast."
Oliver's voice came through the earpiece, tinged with anxiety, "Qin Yang! Are you alright? Was that Slade just now?"
"It's okay, they ran away."
Qin Yang picked up the reagent box from the ground and said calmly, "But this old guy won't give up so easily."
Oliver, tell Felicity to find out more about the M-17.
Slade failed to get what he wanted tonight, he definitely has a backup plan.
"clear."
Oliver's voice was somewhat serious, "Come over here quickly, we'll wait for you in the van."
Qin Yang shouldered the reagent box and walked deeper into the alley. The night wind blew by, carrying away a trace of the smell of blood.
His eyes were cold, but a smile played at the corners of his lips. "Slade, the game has only just begun."
The atmosphere in the restaurant was subtle and tense. The luxurious hotel's decor shimmered in the morning light, and crystal chandeliers reflected tiny specks of light onto the gleaming marble floor.
Qin Yang leaned back lazily in his chair, a cup of freshly served black coffee in his hand, its rich aroma unable to conceal the cunning in his eyes. Diana sat opposite him, elegantly slicing fried eggs on her plate, her movements so light they seemed ready to leap up and throw a punch at any moment.
Oliver Quinn sat on the other side of the table, dressed in a suit and exuding a calm and composed aura, but with a hint of fatigue in his eyes, clearly having spent the night investigating clues about Cyrus Gold and barely getting any sleep.
"So, Oliver, what did you get out of that guy Cyrus last night?"
Qin Yang picked up his coffee and took a sip, speaking casually as if chatting, but his eyes were fixed on Oliver's face, trying to catch any subtle changes in his expression.
Oliver put down his fork, placed his hands on the table, and looked steadily at Qin Yang.
"Cyrus Gold is no ordinary thug; he has someone backing him, a guy codenamed 'The Mayor.'"
Robberies are frequent in Xingcheng, and the targets are not money, but equipment and materials from high-tech laboratories.
Mirakuru's influence is too obvious. The appearance of enhanced humans is not accidental; someone wants to recreate this thing.
Diana stopped eating and looked up at Oliver, her eyes sharp as knives.
"Mirakuru? The drug that turns those guys into monsters?"
Her voice carried a hint of disdain, as if she held such methods of enhancement by external forces in contempt.
"Correct."
Oliver nodded, his gaze sweeping over Diana before settling on Qin Yang.
"I checked the records from back then. Mirakuru can give people superhuman strength and endurance, but the side effects are mental breakdown and even death."
Cyrus's condition... the effects of the drug in his system are unstable; he's like a test subject.
Qin Yang raised an eyebrow, a playful smile playing on his lips.
"Experiments? It sounds like someone has set up an underground laboratory in Star City and is experimenting on living people."
"Tsk, that's ruthless."
He paused, then changed his tone, "But Oliver, you're not asking us to be your backups for free, are you? I'm a negotiator."
Oliver chuckled, shook his head, and a hint of appreciation flashed in his eyes.
"Qin Yang, I know you're not short of money."
However, by helping me with this, the safety of Xingcheng will be further guaranteed.
Moreover,
He looked at Diana and said, "I've already arranged for someone to get Diana her ID card; she should have it this afternoon."
Upon hearing this, Diana's eyes flashed with surprise, then she broke into a bright smile.
"Thank you, Oliver."
This is very important to me.
Her tone was sincere, with a touch of warmth, like the moment an Amazon warrior takes off her armor.
Qin Yang curled his lip and muttered in feigned dissatisfaction, "Tsk, so I did the most work, but I didn't even get a thank you."
However, the smile in his eyes betrayed his true feelings; he was clearly quite satisfied with Oliver's efficiency.
Just then, the glass door of the restaurant was suddenly pushed open, and a figure stumbled in, drawing the attention of the surrounding waiters.
The newcomer was a young man, wearing a somewhat disheveled plaid shirt, with messy brown curly hair, and an expression that was both nervous and excited on his face.
He spotted Qin Yang immediately, as if he had found a lifeline, and rushed over with great strides.
"Qin Yang! Thank God, you're here!"
Barry Allen stopped panting at the table, leaning on the chair for support, and after catching his breath, he continued, "I've been looking for you all morning! There's something... uh, it's pretty urgent."
As he spoke, his gaze unconsciously drifted towards Oliver, as if he had suddenly realized that this bigwig from Star City was also present, and his expression immediately became somewhat awkward.
Qin Yang raised an eyebrow, put down his coffee cup, and looked at Barry with interest.
"Hey, Barry, you look like you've been chased by a dog for ten blocks."
"Speak, what's the matter that's so urgent?"
His tone was relaxed, but his eyes held a hint of inquiry, clearly showing his curiosity about Barry's sudden appearance.
Barry scratched his head, smiled awkwardly, and lowered his voice, saying, "Actually... it's about the laboratory in Central City."
Last night, I found some strange traces in the CSI lab, as if someone had secretly tampered with the equipment.
I checked the surveillance footage and found several suspicious figures, dressed in black, moving very quickly, like...like enhanced humans.
Oliver's brow furrowed instantly, he leaned forward slightly, and said in a low voice, "There are enhanced humans in Central City too? Are you sure?"
Barry nodded, his expression turning serious.
"I'm not sure if it's Mirakuru yet, but those guys' speed and strength are definitely abnormal."
I originally wanted to look it up myself, but…
He paused, looked at Qin Yang, and said with a pleading look in his eyes, "Qin Yang, you took down that enhanced man yesterday. I think you might be able to help me."
Qin Yang leaned back in his chair, crossed his arms, and looked at Barry with a half-smile.
"Barry, are you trying to recruit me to Central City to be your free bodyguard? No way! Unless you tell me what benefits this would bring me."
He deliberately dragged out his words, adopting a shrewd and mercenary demeanor, but a sly glint flashed in his eyes, clearly testing Barry.
Barry was taken aback, and then scratched his head in frustration.
"Benefits? Uh... I can treat you to pizza! The best kind in Central City! And, and..."
He racked his brains, then suddenly a brilliant idea struck him. "That's it! I can help you analyze the data of those enhanced humans! I have access to the lab and can find a lot of information!"
Qin Yang raised an eyebrow, as if he had been persuaded, but still refused to budge.
"Pizza? Barry, do you think I've never had a good meal? Add some more sincerity."
Diana couldn't help but laugh out loud and gently patted the table.
"Qin Yang, stop teasing him."
Barry looks really anxious.
She turned to Barry, her tone gentle yet carrying an undeniable authority, "Tell me, what exactly happened? Who are those men in black?"
Barry glanced gratefully at Diana and quickly recounted the events of the previous night in detail: "Last night, I worked overtime until very late, and I was the only one in the lab."
But I heard some strange noises, like the sound of metal clashing.
When I went to check, I found several men in black moving some experimental equipment, which looked like parts of a particle accelerator.
They ran away as soon as they saw me, but when I chased after them, they were incredibly fast, unlike ordinary people.
Oliver's expression grew increasingly serious. He asked in a low voice, "Did you see their faces? What were their features?"
Barry shook his head, sounding somewhat annoyed.
No, they were all wearing masks.
However, I found a syringe where they left, containing a green liquid that looked like...like Mirakuru.
"It's Mirakuru again."
Oliver's voice was so low it was almost a soliloquy; his fingers tapped lightly on the table as he fell into deep thought.
Qin Yang narrowed his eyes, his tone tinged with amusement. (End of Chapter)
