Chapter 221 Reconciliation
"Kraglin, you haven't had time to hide the money yet, have you?" Yondu, piloting his spaceship and watching Captain Marvel triumphantly destroy the last Sovereign ship, swallowed hard and quietly asked his trusted subordinate on the private channel.

Although a cooperation agreement was reached with Li Wei.

But as a cunning plunderer, how honest can you expect Igor to be when faced with his staggering wealth?

That's also not very realistic.

I certainly wouldn't keep it all for myself, but secretly hiding some is still possible.

But after seeing Captain Marvel's performance, well, he thought it was better not to do that.

As one of the more well-informed raiders in the galaxy, and also an enemy of the Kree, Yondu had heard of Captain Marvel.

Yondu was once a war slave of the Kree Empire in his youth, so he and the Kree were sworn enemies.

However, Yondu doesn't possess Captain Marvel's terrifying power, so he can't launch a large-scale retaliation against the Kree.

However, this does not prevent Yondu from frequently keeping an eye on news from the Kree.

So he had heard of Captain Marvel.

This is one of the reasons why Levi compromised when he threatened Captain Marvel when the Sovereign fleet appeared, and not just because they witnessed Captain Marvel fighting Ego's human form when they first arrived.

He knew this, but he still didn't have much of a concept of just how powerful Captain Marvel could be.

After all, the scene of Captain Marvel fighting against Ego's human form seemed a bit like a lot of hype but little substance.

But now... well, it's much more straightforward.

"Of course not, sir, I remember every single account perfectly!" Kraglin, who had also witnessed Captain Marvel's power, replied firmly.

This relieved Yondu; at least he hadn't had time to hide it. Anyway, Ego's treasury was overflowing with money; there was no need to offend such a formidable opponent over such a small sum.

"Wait, someone's coming!" Kraglin reported at that moment.

"What? Someone else is coming? Is this never going to end? These Earthlings are such troublemakers!" Yondu complained upon hearing this.

However, it is clear that at this point, he has completely placed Li Wei and the others in the position of allies, which is why he is complaining like this.

“Something’s different, sir, it’s Staka!” Kraglin said hesitantly.

The fleet that had just arrived was none other than the Raiders fleet led by Stakka Ogder, who had previously intended to help Levi and his group.

"What? How could it be him?" Yondu was stunned.

Staka Ogder, the leader of all the raider groups, held an extraordinary place in Yondu's heart.

Back when he was a war slave in the Kree Empire, it was Starka who rescued him and taught and helped him become a raider.

Yondu has always regarded Starka as his older brother.

Unfortunately, he destroyed all of this himself, because he accepted Ego's mission to bring back his children, including Star-Lord.

But this violated a taboo set by Staka: raiders must never buy or sell children.

As a result, Yondu's team was completely kicked out of the Raiders' group, thus becoming an outlier among the Raiders.

Therefore, Yondu's feelings were quite complicated upon seeing Staka's fleet appear here.

In fact, Staka's feelings were just as complicated when he discovered Yondu's fleet here.

However, Captain Marvel doesn't care what their relationship is.

Upon discovering the Staka fleet, they immediately became alert.

He leaped forward and blocked the path of the Starka fleet.

“Relax, Captain, they’re not the enemy, right, Mr. Augard?” Just then, Li Wei’s voice came through the communication channel.

He had returned to the Skybreaker, accompanied by Tony and Jessica. He had recovered considerably from his initial exhaustion, though he still looked somewhat listless. His weakness wasn't magical, but rather mental.

Igor's brain core is too special; fitting it into his own system space package is not an easy task.

“Of course, Mr. Lee, Mr. Stark, it’s an honor to meet you in space. I heard you’ve been having some trouble, so I came to see if there’s anything I can help with.” Stark nodded and said, then looked at the collapsing planet Ego. “But it seems I’m a little late.”

“We should thank Mr. Augard for his kindness, and to express our gratitude, how about I act as an intermediary?” Li Wei said with a smile.

“Middleman? What do you mean?” Staka asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I know that there’s some misunderstanding between Mr. Ogd and Yondu, so I’d like to act as a mediator to clear up this misunderstanding. What do you two think?” Levi said.

Yondu remained silent. If Levi could truly clear up the misunderstanding between him and Starka, he would certainly be happy to see it happen.

In fact, he dreamed of returning to the Raiders.

However, Starka clearly didn't think so.

“If Mr. Li is trying to persuade Yondu, then there’s no need for that. He has violated an absolute taboo of us raiders! This cannot be explained away with a simple misunderstanding!” Staka rejected Li Wei’s proposal without hesitation, showing no respect whatsoever.

He didn't need to give Li Wei any face.

He'll come to help, mainly because of Asgard.

Li Wei and his group didn't have that much influence with him.

Upon hearing Starka's unwavering refusal, Yondu's expression turned extremely grim.

"Is that so? Well then, in that case, Mr. Starka, will you accept orders?" Levi wasn't too annoyed by Starka's direct refusal. After all, they were the ones who owed Starka a favor, not the other way around. So he immediately changed the subject.

"What order?" Staka asked suspiciously.

“It’s very simple. It’s my friend, Tony Stark, whom you know. He has an illegitimate child who is stranded in space. Mr. Stark, could you help find him?” Levi said.

Tony, who had been standing aside watching the show, was suddenly dumbfounded.

What the hell?

Where did I get an illegitimate child?
"Are there any more concrete clues?" Staka asked, frowning slightly.

"So, as long as there's a solid lead, Mr. Staka can take this job, right?" Levi asked.

“Of course!” Staka nodded; he had already guessed what the other party wanted to say.

"Then why is it considered a taboo for Yondu to take on the same job?" Levi asked, feigning ignorance.

“Of course it’s different. His actions killed those children…” Staka said.

“Of course I understand, but this wasn’t Yondu’s subjective mistake, was it? Those children were undoubtedly Ego’s, right? But who could have imagined that a father would harm his own children and use them as tools?” Levi countered. “Of course, I’m not saying that Yondu bears no responsibility for the children’s deaths, after all, he didn’t understand Ego’s purpose—but now, he has avenged those children, hasn’t he?”

Staka fell silent.

“I think that’s right. If it weren’t for Yondu, I probably would have been killed by that crazy old man!” Star-Lord’s voice came through the communication channel at that moment.

“Mr. Li, Mr. Stark, how about we find a place to have a drink? It’s on me!” Stark said again after a long silence.

“Of course, but we’ll have to treat this guest, since we made quite a bit of money this time!” Li Wei said with a smile. Staka’s words made him realize that the deal was done.

This matter may seem to have nothing to do with them.

But the actual benefits are not few. One is to repay the favor of Staka who came to help, and at the same time, you can also get a favor from Yondu.

More importantly, they established relationships with these raider groups.

Don't underestimate these space pirates; few forces in the galaxy have better intelligence than them.
