I stole divine power in Daxia

Chapter 550 1 Minus 1 Increase

Chapter 550: One Subtraction and One Increase

The bell of Nanda Temple rang loudly, but the grand sound was not as clear and pleasant as usual. One sound was overlapping another, urgent and noisy, just like the chaotic mood of the monks in the temple at that moment.

When the red flame fell from the sky, the chief lecturer at Taiyi Temple, whose misty Buddha nature was reflected in his body, wanted to stand up to rescue Shengshan. However, even if he was a great Buddhist, it would take at least ten breaths of time to save someone.

Unfortunately, the cause and effect of Shengshan's trip had already been determined. When Shengshan was confused and uttered that oath, the head monk could not maintain his empty Buddha nature. The shadow in the Buddha's light deepened, outlining the old monk's shocked and angry face, "Not good!"

He was shocked that a first-class Buddhist had undergone new changes, and was angry that Shengshan had practiced for so many years but did not know that words can cause disaster. Even ordinary people know that such a big vow should not be made lightly, let alone a Buddhist monk who practices the Great Vow Method.

Sure enough, the red flame shot up into the sky and completely engulfed Shengshan in just a moment, causing him to fall from the sky, taking three hundred believers with him, straight into the underworld.

"After three hundred years of practice, I still have an unsettled mind. My golden body will be reduced to ashes in one day!"

The chief lecturer is also a human being. Shengshan has practiced under him for three hundred years and has long been like his own son. Today he fell into the underworld because of Shengshan's own merits and deeds. He didn't even have time to save people, let alone the face to find Zhou Tieyi to argue. He could only speak sadly and be angry at him for not fighting back.

"First seat!"

Several Bodhisattvas who were friendly with Shengshan stood up.

One of them said, "Master, I will go to the netherworld to find Shengshan and come back now!"

The Bodhisattva was about to open the tightly closed temple door, but the chief monk in a red cassock suddenly roared like a lion, "Now that you have found him, will you go and solve his evil? Or will you bring him back to the temple and turn all the monks of Nanda Temple into evil spirits!"

The Bodhisattva was stunned when he heard this and looked at the chief lecturer in disbelief.

The chief lecturer took a few steps back, sat down slowly, and transformed into the misty Buddha nature again. However, this time, only a pair of golden Buddha eyes remained in the mist, observing the three realms and six paths.

Upon seeing this, all the monks began to recite the sutras. Behind them, many arhats and bodhisattvas appeared, blessing the chief lecturer with their supreme power.

This is the destiny-knowing power among the six supernatural powers of Buddhism, which can know past karma and predict future results.

However, even a great master who is close to perfecting the sutras can only use such supernatural powers once every sixty years.

The Buddha's eyes saw all three realms and six paths, but in just a breath, countless pictures about future destiny poured into the mind of the chief lecturer like a chaotic kaleidoscope. These pictures were reversed, without distinguishing between cause and effect. To sort them out, one needed supreme wisdom and the help of one of the six supernatural powers, the fourth power of the cessation of outflows.

After using the six supernatural powers in succession, the aura of the chief monk began to weaken for the first time. He could no longer enter the empty and misty Buddha nature at any time, and turned into an ordinary old monk. He said in a low and tired voice, "From today on, Nandala Temple will be closed for thirty years."

"Abbot? Why has the temple been closed for thirty years?"

One of the Bodhisattvas said anxiously.

He hadn't said anything else. Now that Zhou Tieyi and the Great Xia Emperor had shown their saintly qualities, their Buddhist sect had already fallen behind in Buddhist affairs. If the temple was closed for another thirty years, then this saint who appeared once every thousand years would have nothing to do with their Buddhist sect anymore.

The chief lecturer explained, "Do you know what kind of flame burns the superior good?"

When asked this question, the monks fell into deep thought. They were too far away and could only see the result through the reflection method of the chief monk who was giving the lecture.

The red flame only burned Bodhisattvas and Arhats, but not mortals. Even the Mani Pearls that were impervious to water and fire could not block it. It was truly strange.

The chief lecturer continued, "This fire comes from the first-grade transformation of the Miscellaneous School. Although I don't know its name yet, I know its meaning. Power comes from the people, and it returns to the origin. The various schools of thought are about to usher in a time of great change."

"The Buddhist scriptures say that creation, stasis, destruction and emptiness are repeated in a cycle. Since Shengshan has already responded to the changes of the destruction kalpa, then our sealing of the temple should respond to the changes of the emptiness kalpa, waiting for the creation kalpa to appear in the world to preach the Dharma."

The bodhisattvas had already tasted the samadhi. One of them hesitated and asked, "If it is a bad calamity, then the aura of the saints he is waiting for...?"

The chief lecturer laughed, "Flowers in the mirror, moons in the water, it's all in vain. The Buddha came to the world in the creation kalpa, and then stayed in the world to preach the Dharma. How can he come to the world in the destruction kalpa?"

Upon hearing this result, the monks felt surprised and relieved. They all put their hands together and chanted the Buddha's name.

Then a Bodhisattva stood up and asked, "Master, what about the monks and Shengshan who are traveling outside?"

He is the abbot, who is in charge of all worldly affairs in the temple. If the chief preacher is the spiritual leader of Nananda Temple, then the abbot is the worldly leader of the monks.

“They all have their own consequences.”

The chief monk who was giving lectures answered, but seeing the panic of the monks, he explained one more sentence, "Although Shengshan is in trouble, he holds the Mani Pearl in his hand, so he may be able to be liberated in the future. Well, is there anyone willing to go to the mortal world for Shengshan?"

The monks looked at each other. If it were before, they would definitely be willing to go because they had the support of the entire Nananda Temple behind them.

But the chief monk who gave the lecture just now has announced the closure of the temple, which means that the outside world has been dangerous in the past two years, and all the consequences must be borne by oneself. If you leave the temple now, you may end up like Shengshan. If you are not careful, even if you have the golden body of a Bodhisattva, you will fall into the underworld.

Since the chief lecturer has already seen the three realms and six paths with his knowledge of past lives and the knowledge of the end of all defilements, and predicted that the chance to become a saint will only come after thirty years, they are walking in the world during the bad and empty kalpas, and the danger is greater than the opportunity, so the wise will not take it.

At this time, a nun stood up, put her hands together and said, "Master, I am willing to go."

The chief lecturer looked at the nun. This girl was called Miaoshan. She had been practicing Buddhism for forty-six years and attained the status of Arhat three years ago. She was not very conspicuous in the Nananda Temple where many monks gathered. But today, it was found that she was a person with wisdom.

The chief lecturer took out a jade bottle from his sleeve, handed it to Miao Shan, and instructed, "This bottle can hold rootless water, can create thousands of merits, can make stone trees bloom, and can save seven people from becoming Buddhas. You hold this bottle and travel the world for my Nanduo Temple to save sentient beings." Then he transformed his previous shock, anger, fatigue, and sorrow into a smile and regained his wisdom. "That person preached at Taiyi Temple and said that I only knew closed-door Zen, which was enough to save myself but not sentient beings in the world. But since I can save others, it is also a good way. Since it is a good way, how can there be a big or small difference? If I save one person to become a Buddha today, then tomorrow there will be two people who can save the world, and the day after tomorrow there will be four people who can save the world, and so on and so forth, until all good men and women in the world can become Buddhas."

Upon hearing this, the monks' wisdom increased greatly. They smiled and praised, "Praise to Namo Precious Light Glazed Buddha!"

Baoguang Liuli is the Buddhist name of the chief lecturer.

Amid the sound of Buddhist chants, Miao Shan pushed open the temple door, walked down the mountain, and then looked back at the mountain gate. She saw temples lined up one after another, built against the Eight Divisions of Mountains. The golden tiles and red doors arranged like the spine of a divine dragon looked like dreamy glass in the sun, and the ringing bells and the Zen sounds in the temples became vague and hard to find.

A breeze blew up from the valley, stirring the incense sticks rising from countless temples. When the clouds of incense dispersed, the glorious Nananda Temple on the top of the Babu Mountains had disappeared, leaving only eighty Zen temples that were still bustling with incense. Then, cries of fear were heard from the people throughout the entire Heniu City.

This city was dedicated to Buddha and good deeds, and the Nananda Temple had always been the spiritual pillar of the people in the city. Once it disappeared, it naturally caused panic among the people.

Miao Shan sighed softly and first looked in the direction of Taiyi Temple. She hesitated for a moment, turned her head to look at the gap in the underworld, and finally set up the precious light and went straight into the underworld.

However, she also knew that even the chief lecturer was not able to rescue Shengshan immediately, and her own strength was certainly not enough, so she first went to the Pure Land of the Buddha Equality King in the Western Realm of the Netherworld to see how the method of this Buddhist Buddha was different from that of the Buddha of the Buddhist School, and whether it might be possible to rescue Shengshan from the sea of suffering.

When the Nananda Temple was sealed, the red flames above the Taiyi Temple were still burning fiercely. In the second layer of the Dongxiao Heaven, the Taoist Lishan was also suffering from the burning.

But he practiced Taoism after all.

When Zhou Tieyi first asked the Lord of Daming Palace, he already knew that among all the schools of thought, only Taoism asked for help the least, and Taoist Lishan did not fall into the devil's barrier like Shengshan and swear a poisonous oath.

So although the red flames caused great pain to Lishan Taoist, it was not fatal. After the initial pain, Lishan Taoist looked up to the sky. While he was being burned by the flames, Miaoyu, Gongshu Ting, and Xu Wugui were also being burned. He said hatefully, "You, Zhou Tieyi, are so cruel. For the sake of the great way, you even burned your relatives and friends. I think you should practice Buddhism and burn your entire family into relics so that you can become a living saint."

Taoist Lishan was hit one after another, and his Taoism heart was really in chaos at this time. Even Li Kegong, the lecturer at the Confucius Academy next to him, felt that it was very inappropriate, because Taoist Lishan's words directly offended the three families. Even if he was cursing, there was no reason to drag others into it.

However, the red flame on Taoist Lishan was so fierce at this time that he did not dare to get close to it. At the same time, he was very grateful that he did not establish the Confucian Heaven with Duke Sisheng. Otherwise, once the heresies of this miscellaneous school were burned, how could they, the Confucian school, without a first-class master, resist it.

Of course, the red flames also burned Xuanhuangtian where Miaoyu was, but compared to Lishan Taoist, Miaoyu's condition was much better. She also practiced Taoist methods, and she even achieved the "Xuanpin" of the second level. She had the least desire for the luck of the people of the world, and she was pregnant with the second child of the Earth Mother and Changshengtian.

When the red flames burned her body, Miaoyu pointed at the three thousand blooming green lotuses in front of her and transformed the red flames onto the green lotuses, replacing the imaginary with the real, allowing the ghost immortals, human immortals, and earth immortals who were listening to her preaching to bear this part of the cause and effect on her behalf.

At this time, the path of earthly immortals is becoming very popular and is about to benefit the people of the world. Naturally, they can bear this method of returning to the origin.

Many students from Baizhishan who were listening to the lecture on the same day were amazed. When the flames started, it took only a dozen breaths of time for the flames to burn up the cyan-gold body of the Buddha below. They were so scared that many of them thought they would die this time.

But when the flames actually burned themselves, they found that the flames were warm. The students who were at the mortal stage suddenly broke through to the ninth level of martial arts and mechanical skills in just a dozen breaths. Their strength was still increasing rapidly, and there was no sign of unstable foundation at all.

This is the method of returning to the origin. For the upper three-grade practitioners who seize and rob others by trickery and extortion, they are unworthy of their positions, and their own merits will be scattered among the people again. For ordinary middle-grade practitioners, it is neither good nor bad, because most of the middle-grade practitioners practice the way of heaven and earth, and absorb the ancestral qi of heaven and earth as their own foundation. For ordinary people like the students of Baizhishan, the third-grade and second-grade Taoist traditions that are scattered here are the best tonic.

Just as the students were overjoyed and wanted to share the good news with their teacher Li Jianhu, Li Jianhu himself was also improving rapidly.

The flame started from the three invisible swords of essence, energy and spirit, making the three swords shine even brighter.

Mo Tianheng deduced the ninth to seventh levels of swordsmanship, which condensed the three swords of essence, energy and spirit respectively. When he practiced to the sixth level, the three swords became one and transformed and sublimated into each other.

Li Jianhu was very lucky. When he arrived at Yujing Mountain, after the Confucian self-examination, he had already overcome the backlash of his righteous energy and perfected the three swords of his essence, energy and spirit.

Afterwards, Zhou Tieyi held the Emperor of Great Xia accountable for the ink stone case, forcing him to issue the "Edict of Self-Revelation", which was actually also helping Li Jianhu to complete his own path.

Because the key reason why Li Jianhu was able to survive the backlash of his righteous spirit was that he dared to question the king as a people. When the "Ming Ji Edict" was announced, it was actually also a disguised announcement of the initial determination of Li Jianhu's own chivalrous way, perfecting his spirit and energy without any wear and tear at all.

After all, a young boy in commoner clothes was able to go to the capital to file a complaint, not fearing the powerful, and eventually forced the emperor of the Great Xia Dynasty to make himself clear and let all officials make concessions, thus promoting major changes in the people's livelihood in Shantong Prefecture. This is naturally the best annotation of chivalry.

It's just that Zhou Tieyi's brilliance was so bright in the court that no one noticed that Li Jianhu's peerless sword, which was well maintained by Zhou Tieyi, was gradually shining.

Although Li Jianhu was far away from the court afterwards, he taught in Shantong Mansion to consolidate his own Taoist tradition. Now, the students he taught have made great progress, and naturally they have benefited from him.

Power comes from the people, but it’s not just about returning to the roots.

As Li Jianhu was a peerless sword raised by Zhou Tieyi, his changes were naturally noticed by Zhou Tieyi in the Small Heavenly Palace. Seeing that Li Jianhu had reached the perfection of the sixth level and was about to break through to the fifth level, but Mo Tianheng, a fifth-level swordsman, certainly did not have time to deduce, so Li Jianhu was now in a state of having the strength but nowhere to use it.

Zhou Tieyi naturally had to give it a push. He looked at the three flames in his hands. In his idea, he wanted to combine the three flames into one and cultivate a holy fire. But even though the three flames came from the same source and represented the three processes of convergence, sublimation, and return to the source, it was not an easy task to fuse the three flames. It just so happened that there was an experimental method right in front of him.

Then he separated three flame flowers and visualized himself.

In his mind, "Sword Opens a New World" was already quite profound, starting from the first chapter about the six thousand miles to the capital, and ending with the eleventh chapter about the establishment of a school in Shantong Mansion. At this moment, three flames fell on the book, evolving a new chapter again.

[Chapter 12] The great truth is heard at Taiyi Temple, and the ancestor of mankind transmits the holy fire through the air.

Three flames fell on the three swords of spirit, energy and soul, and merged with the help of Li Jianhu's spirit, energy and soul. In an instant, Li Jianhu, who was being burned by the red flames, felt as if his brain suddenly opened up, and the red flames around him were no longer just an external force. He could also drive and control it. He also obtained three top-level magical powers, gathering the power of rules, the power of inheritance and sublimation, and the power of returning to the origin.

His swordsmanship also broke through to the fifth level. All things in the world, under the illumination of the holy fire, no matter the rules or the traditions, seemed to have no secrets in his eyes. All had roots and traces to follow. This way was called "Tongming".
