I stole divine power in Daxia

Chapter 588: The Sutra of the Heavenly King of the World

Chapter 588: The Sutra of the Heavenly King of the World

Under Zhuge Dan's command, the three religions took quick action.

In the center of the huge Bagua formation, Sun Chenglong was sitting cross-legged. In the circle outside were three holy monks, namely the abbot of Qinglian Temple, the chief lecturer of Nananda Temple, and the abbot of Fahua Temple.

The Buddhist painter monk who was in charge of the Fahua Temple spoke before the other two, "How much do you know about my Buddhist Dharma of Great Aspiration?"

Sun Chenglong replied, "Don't worry if you laugh at me. I've only heard about Bodhisattvas in Buddhist temples and books before. Buddha made many great vows. Apart from that, I know nothing."

The Buddhist monk smiled slightly, "That's enough. Although my Buddhist aspiration is just one method, it is actually one of thousands of methods. The most important point is the result, not the cause."

Sun Chenglong asked seriously, "What is fruit?"

The monk who painted the Buddha put his palms together and said, "Arhats are the fruit, Bodhisattvas are the fruit, and Buddhas are also the fruit. All sentient beings are Bodhisattvas. Arhats are the cause of Buddhas. We cannot become Buddhas and Bodhisattvas just because we exist in the cause position, not the fruit position. But from the perspective of the boundless time dimension, all sentient beings have corresponding Bodhisattvas, the fruit of Buddhas. We are two sides of the same coin, so Buddhas are sentient beings, and sentient beings are Buddhas."

While the Buddhist monk was speaking, a huge Buddha appeared behind him. One of the Buddha's hands was clenched into an indigo fist, and the other hand was spread out towards the world, to save all living beings.

For a moment, the vast and boundless golden light of merit was not weaker than the light of the sun that was about to rise in the sky. When the golden light of merit gathered and condensed into a beam of light purer than gold, it shone on Sun Chenglong. One by one, dragon seals appeared and gathered into a supreme magic.

[The Mahayana Birth Story Heart Contemplation Sutra].

One is to vow to save all sentient beings, two is to vow to eliminate all afflictions, three is to vow to learn all dharmas, and four is to vow to attain all Buddhahood.

The first is altruism, the second, third, and fourth are all selfish.

Sun Chenglong is not able to benefit others now, so from the perspective of cause and effect, he cannot practice the latter three methods of benefiting himself, but since he cannot practice methods of benefiting himself, others can help him.

The monk who painted the Buddha chanted the Buddha's name, and the complicated Buddhist scriptures fell on Sun Chenglong, forming his second wish.

Vow to end all worries.

In an instant, Sun Chenglong felt his mind was empty, all his worries and uneasiness disappeared, and he was like a pure baby, observing the world with a simple gaze that could see through the essence of things.

The abbot of Qinglian Temple then manifested his own Pratyekabuddha statue, which was a strange three-faced Buddha with two different expressions, one happy and one sad, on each side. His two palms also held a lotus in one hand and a sharp sword in the other.

The same pure gold Buddha's light blessing shot down from the Buddha and landed on Sun Chenglong.

Vow to learn all Dharmas.

Sun Chenglong, who was in the state of emptiness and clarity, suddenly felt that he could easily understand the extremely complex and profound Buddhist scriptures, as if he was born to be a monk. Even though he had not practiced, his understanding of the Buddhist scriptures had at least reached the extreme level described in the books.

His flesh and blood, illuminated by the endless golden light of merit, began to evolve according to the techniques of the Buddhist scriptures. The dragon seals seemed to be naturally embedded in his flesh and blood, making the pure golden color of his body not only due to the illumination of the two Pratyekabuddhas, but he himself began to radiate the light of Buddha nature from the inside out.

The image of Buddha revealed by the chief lecturer at Nananda Temple was nearly transparent, like a piece of colorful glass. He did not gather his own merits to shine on Sun Chenglong, but refracted the Buddha's light from Sun Chenglong and fell on the eight thousand monks outside, forming the embryonic form of the Taoist tradition.

The head monk of Nananda Temple said to Sun Chenglong who was reading the Buddhist scriptures, "I vow to attain all Buddhahood. I, the Tathagata of Precious Light and Lapis Lazuli, wish to hear your attainment."

Although the future of all sentient beings is the supreme Buddhahood, every Buddha who comes to the world has his own unique significance, so the Buddhahood will not be confined to one sutra.

All the great vows originated from the Mahayana Birth Story Sutra, but the final great vows are all different, so there are the Twelve Vows of Medicine Buddha, the Great Vow of Ksitigarbha, and so on.

Now the abbot of Nananda Temple is like a huge amplifier. All the knowledge that Sun Chenglong has learned from the Buddhist scriptures is condensed into his principles. Even if it is just a ray of light, it can illuminate eight thousand people under the reflection of the abbot who is giving lectures. Then, with the practice of these eight thousand top monks, the embryonic form of the Taoist tradition is immediately formed, which is passed on to the five hundred thousand monks who come here, forming a road to heaven.

Sun Chenglong, who was in a state of emptiness and clarity, did not hesitate at all.

"If I attain the supreme enlightenment, I will not seek Buddhahood. I wish to be the king of the heavens and stay in the world forever."

"If I attain the supreme enlightenment, I will not seek Buddhahood. I wish to be a free king of heaven, not bound by the world."

"If I attain the supreme enlightenment, I will not seek Buddhahood. I wish to become the mighty celestial king, and shock the world."

"If I attain the supreme enlightenment, I will not seek Buddhahood alone. I wish to protect the heavenly kings and bring peace to the world."

After the four great vows were made, four Buddha fruits were born in the unknown future. However, these Buddha fruits were like fireflies, which were difficult to reach even under the illumination of three Pratyekabuddhas.

Neither a Buddha nor a Bodhisattva!
The three monks looked at each other and saw confusion and shock in each other's eyes.

Just like what the monk who painted the Buddha said, Buddhism has all kinds of fruits. Arhats are fruits, Bodhisattvas are fruits, and Buddhas are also fruits.

A powerful arhat who makes a vow can be comparable to a second-grade bodhisattva, and a powerful bodhisattva who makes a vow can be comparable to a first-grade pratyekabuddha.

But in addition to Arhats, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas, Buddhism actually has endless "heterodox sects".

Buddhism saves all sentient beings. In addition to attaining enlightenment, Buddhism believes that if you have good intentions in your heart, you are worth saving even if you do not practice Buddhism. You can just practice Buddhism in your next life.

Therefore, Buddhism has gods, asuras and other beings. The "Eight Buddhas" of the Fahua Temple are actually a kind of practice method of the heterodox sects, so the Eight Buddhas do not prohibit killing and other Buddhist precepts.

Among the heterodox sects, the Heavenly King is the most respected. Although they do not practice Buddhism, the spread of Buddhism depends on the protection of the Heavenly King. Therefore, Buddhist temples must provide Heavenly Kings to guard the gates, and they are the first to enjoy all incense.

After a moment of confusion, the three monks sighed in their hearts, it was indeed not easy to convert this saint's followers. If he had made a Bodhisattva vow or a Buddha vow, it would be much easier for them to convert them in the future.

Only the Heavenly King swears. The Heavenly King himself is a special position in Buddhism. Buddhism allows the Heavenly King to have multiple identities, and he is the leader of the outsiders.

But in any case, this is also one of the results.

Sun Chenglong made three self-benefiting vows, and thus he had achieved Buddhahood, so he could benefit others and then fulfill the first vow.

Vow to save all sentient beings.

The three eminent monks stood up and began to circle from the right, praising, "Thus I have heard, in the ten directions of the Buddha land, there is a worldly king who descended to the world, but did not seek Buddhahood. The precious temple where he resides is endowed with immeasurable and inconceivable merits. Chanting his name will bring you peace and happiness."

"Thus have I heard, during the aeons of the universe, there will be a worldly king descending who alone will not take the fruit of Buddhahood, but whose golden body will remain indestructible, and who will be able to endure countless aeons. If one recites his name, one will attain peace and well-being."

“Thus have I heard, among hundreds of millions of living beings, there is a heavenly king who has descended to the world, but he alone has not sought Buddhahood. His mighty virtue can bring down countless disasters. People who chant his name will find peace and security.” Their praise formed a new Buddhist scripture, [The Great Vow of the Supreme Heavenly King].

From the gathering of monks on the bank of Luo River, to the advent of Sun Chenglong, the king of the world, and his great wish, to the three Pratyekabuddhas praising and spreading Buddhism.

At this time, the Three Jewels of Buddhism, the Buddha, the monks, and the scriptures are unified, and the four great aspirations are unified to achieve the supreme Buddhist Dharma.

The four beads symbolizing the future fruition are no longer as bright as fireflies under the blessings of the three Pratyekabuddhas, but have swelled to be as big as the sun and the moon. Under the shining light of the Buddha's fruition, the nearly unreal river of history around them has become real and tangible, like a river called Luo River flowing in the sky, flowing from the present to the future.

Four hundred miles away, in the Wei State's tent, Jiang Taiyi was gathering his generals to deploy his troops. Suddenly, he felt something in his heart, and appeared outside the tent in a few steps.

At this time, the soldiers of Wei State also saw the long river that could span the present and the future. In that river, four Buddha fruits were like the rising sun and the moon, and their brilliance was so bright that they could hardly open their eyes!

"Humph!"

Jiang Taiyi snorted coldly, and the soldiers' blood boiled, forming a blood cloud that covered the sky and the sun, covering the sky from above the Luo River, standing between the present and the future, blocking the Buddha's light shining from the future.

However, although the military formations are terrifying, when it comes to the means of manipulating cause and effect, how can they compare with the three schools of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism?

In the Bagua formation, the leaders of the hundreds of families who were watching the ceremony saw the blood clouds covering the sky, but instead of being worried, they all smiled knowingly. On a battlefield that they were familiar with, even a military strategist had to lie down!

A second-rank bodhisattva said with a smile, "Jiang Rentu is getting anxious. Why don't you all praise the incredible merits of the Heavenly King and drive away the blood cloud in the sky?"

The masters of the hundreds of families showed surprise on their faces. They knew that this was a way to share their own luck, but now the human butcher was the biggest problem standing in the way of the hundreds of families. Sharing a little of their luck and becoming a king was not unacceptable.

After all, this Heavenly King is not necessarily a Buddhist.

Therefore, Sun Chenglong's vow just hit the mark in everyone's heart.

Zhuge Dan then took the lead in praising, "Praise the Heavenly King of Freedom in the World."

The praises from hundreds of schools of thought are the biggest anchor points in this space and time.

When the first- and second-rank figures of the various schools of thought, and when four of the five countries in the world recognize you as the King of the World, then this is the direction of the future, even transcending life and death.

One after another, Taoist traditions emerged from the various schools of thought, like small rivers, extending from Sun Chenglong to the road into the future. Even the dark clouds that Jiang Taiyi condensed to cover the sky could not block all the roads in the world as long as there was one path leading to the future.

Then you can confuse cause and effect!

Eight thousand monks and various schools of thought began to praise, and then five hundred thousand monk soldiers began to praise. At this time, all the Buddhist temples in the world received orders to build the Heavenly King Hall to praise the World-Honored Heavenly King.

A magnificent golden body of the Heavenly King gathered amidst the praises. Under the illumination of the Buddhist kingdom from the future, although it had not attained Buddhahood, it was like a gigantic Mount Sumeru, growing inch by inch and standing above the Luo River.

The Sishenggong of the Confucian Confucius Academy seized the opportunity and nodded to the Grand Historian next to him. A blue book appeared in the Grand Historian's hand. "On March 28, the 3th year of Wei Wu, hundreds of families gathered by the Luo River. There was a son of the Sun family, who inherited the military destiny and made a great oath to quell the disaster of human slaughter. The world respected him."

[Final Conclusion] It is not just about weakening others, it can also be used to strengthen others.

With the intervention of Confucianism, the illusory luck gathered and formed a brilliant red cloud in the sky. In the red cloud, a divine dragon circled and flew around the sun.

Zhuge Dan could feel that the destiny of Qi was shifting, converging into the dragon and blessing Sun Chenglong.

But that's why he was smiling.

Because in this sealed history, except for a few things, everything else is just a reflection of history. If it has no foundation, it will directly dissipate when it converges into the mainstream of history.

The same goes for the national fortune of Qi State here. The current reduction will not affect Qi State. On the contrary, it is only when Sun Chenglong leaves here that the scattered national fortune of Qi State can be reunited with him as the center after 'three hundred years'. I am just borrowing the Confucian principle of "the final judgment" here.

The divine dragon in the red clouds circled for a while, then suddenly rushed down and condensed into a red dragon spear, which landed in the hands of the Heavenly King's Dharma Image, making the Heavenly King's statue further solid.

At this time, the King of Heaven has occupied both the future and the present under the blessing of Buddhism and Confucianism, which in itself is a huge smuggling bridge.

Zhuge Dan turned to look at the Heavenly Master of Xuandu Mountain, "Please help me connect the Qi soldiers with the Heavenly King statue."

Xuandu Mountain Tianshi took a serious look at the statue of the Heavenly King. He didn’t notice anything wrong, so the next moment, he spread the ancestral energy of heaven and earth, which surged like a gust of strong wind, from bottom to top, carrying the blood and energy of Qi’s 300,000 troops, and fell on the statue of the Heavenly King.

Zhuge Dan also taught the [Xiantian Bagua Formation] at the right time. When this formation came out of his mouth, it was not passed on to anyone else and fell directly into the ears of Sun Chenglong.

Sun Chenglong had taken a vow to learn all the Dharmas at this time, so even the profound and obscure [Innate Bagua Formation] was not a difficult thing for Sun Chenglong to learn at this time, especially since he himself practiced military techniques and had some understanding of military formations.

The next moment, the huge statue of the Heavenly King suddenly spoke according to Sun Chenglong's thoughts, like the sound of thunder.

"Zhen Gua."

Nine thunder drums appeared in the sky, surrounding his body.

A knock was a command like thunder.

The 300,000 well-prepared Qi soldiers moved in unison. They were part of the [Xiantian Bagua Formation] and now they had just temporarily changed the person in charge, so they could cooperate. Even if Sun Chenglong had only mastered the basics, he could still drive the formation, at least he could master the surface skills.

This further accelerated his coexistence with the 300,000 Qi soldiers, allowing the two sects to begin to merge into one.

In the distant mountains, Hu Wenlang, Mo Fei, and the Lord of the Prison Gate were silent for a while when they saw this scene.

The Lord of the Prison Gate exclaimed, "The Marquis of Divine Martial Arts is indeed powerful."

Hu Wenlang suddenly smiled and asked, "What about Zhou Tieyi?"

When the Lord of the Prison Gate saw the Dharma image that reached the sky and penetrated the earth, he would definitely not have believed it if someone had told him a day ago that Zhou Tieyi's third disciple was about to become a Buddha, but now it has become a reality, and it will become a reality even after he gets out, unless the various schools of thought want to deny the result of Jiang Taiyi's death.

The Lord of the Prison Gate sighed, "It is not something that a saint can speak of. It is not something I can judge."
