Countless mortals risked their lives to escape the suffering of the world and enter the legendary Pure Land.

However, Lin Zhu felt that this Western Paradise was more like a huge greenhouse, or even a meticulously decorated pigsty.

The believers appear carefree, but in reality, they are merely tools to provide Buddhist soldiers for the Western Paradise and to empower the eastward spread of Buddhism.

Ordinary people dedicate their entire lives to their faith, yet they may not receive any reward. Some people, however, are born with wisdom and can easily enter the Pure Land with just a little guidance, becoming protectors or soldiers of Buddhism.

Lin Zhu sighed inwardly, thinking that the Taoist cultivation method seemed more practical and fair in comparison.

In Taoist cultivation, one cannot rely on others to escape suffering; all beings can only rely on themselves.

Success means ascending to the heavens and joining the ranks of immortals; failure means either being annihilated or facing eternal damnation.

The Taoist sect does not force believers to convert or make donations; everything depends on individual opportunity and effort.

Lin Zhu strolled along the way and eventually arrived at the entrance of the Great Thunder Temple.

This magnificent temple, equivalent to the Lingxiao Palace in Heaven, was the true center of power in the Western Paradise.

Without the slightest hesitation, he stepped inside.

As soon as Lin Zhu stepped into the main hall, he felt an incredibly dazzling Buddhist light sweeping towards him as if it were a tangible substance.

At the same time, an endless and powerful force of Buddhist teachings attempted to penetrate the depths of his primordial spirit, like countless voices whispering in his ear, urging him to lay down his butcher's knife and convert to Buddhism.

He looked up and saw three thousand Buddhas in the main hall, sitting in high positions, their appearances solemn and dignified. Each Buddha's face carried a compassionate pity, but deep within that pity lay a coldness that penetrated to the bone.

They looked down at the bamboo grove as if they were looking at a lost lamb.

"buzz"

The chanting of Buddhist hymns, like a thousand giant waves, carried boundless Buddhist teachings and pressed down on Lin Zhu.

The entire hall was shaking, as if it were about to crush Lin Zhu completely, forcing him to kneel on the ground and willingly accept the baptism of Buddhism.

However, Lin Zhu frowned slightly, and a disdainful smile appeared on his lips.

"You think you can suppress me with mere Buddhist teachings?"

He gave a cold snort, his arrogance radiating, and strode forward with firm steps.

With each step he took, his aura grew increasingly violent, an invisible force surging from his body, even mixed with a faint hint of demonic power.

The God-Slaying Spear hanging at his waist sensed its master's fighting spirit at this moment. The Heavenly Origin Demon Stone emitted a dark light, instantly pushing that violent aura to its extreme.

Demonic energy, like a flood bursting its banks, surged out of Lin Zhu's body and instantly swept through the entire Great Thunderclap Temple!

The endless Buddhist light melted away like ice and snow under the scorching sun under the impact of demonic energy, and the originally golden hall was instantly stained with a layer of black.

Lin Zhu stood proudly amidst the raging demonic energy, the dark demonic energy condensing behind him into a blurry phantom of a demon god, baring its fangs and claws, ferocious and terrifying.

A haughty smile played on his lips as he coldly swept his gaze over the three thousand Buddhas, his eyes filled with contempt and disdain.

"The three thousand Buddhas are nothing more than this!"

His voice wasn't loud, but it resounded like thunder from the heavens within the Great Thunderclap Temple, echoing for a long time.

Inside the Great Thunderclap Temple, the violent demonic energy emanating from Lin Zhu surged like a black wave, instantly turning the entire solemn and majestic hall into a chaotic mess.

This demonic energy was no ordinary thing; it carried the murderous intent of the God-Slaying Spear and the primal evil of the Heavenly Origin Demon Stone, as if it wanted to tear apart and devour all the beauty in the world.

The three thousand Buddhas sensed the terror of this demonic energy and instantly lost their composure.

They accused Lin Zhu in fear, terrified that this demonic energy would disturb the pure Buddhist light of Mount Ling.

"Demon! How dare you act so recklessly in Mount Ling!"

"Quickly withdraw your demonic energy! Otherwise, don't blame us for being impolite!"

"Quickly! Block the demonic energy and prevent it from flowing out of the Great Thunderclap Temple, otherwise the entire Mount Ling will be polluted!"

In an instant, the entire hall was thrown into chaos.

Although Mount Ling is a sacred place created by a sage, housing three thousand Buddhas, five hundred Bodhisattvas, eight hundred Arhats, and countless Buddhist soldiers, it was not created from the origin of heaven and earth. Once it is polluted by demonic energy carrying the evil of the origin, the entire ecological structure of Mount Ling will be affected, and it may even affect the foundation of the Western Paradise plan.

The Buddhas were in a flurry of activity, each employing Buddhist teachings to try and force back Lin Zhu's demonic energy.

Golden light and black mist clashed violently in the hall, producing a series of booming sounds.

In the end, the combined efforts of the three thousand Buddhas barely managed to repel the demonic energy, preventing it from spreading outside the main hall and saving Mount Ling from the crisis of being polluted.

Originally, I wanted to give Lin Zhu a hard time and make him understand that Lingshan was not a place for him to run wild.

As a result, in their first unseen confrontation, they were left looking disheveled and utterly humiliated by Lin Zhu.

Lin Zhu, a complete victory.

Lin Zhu smiled faintly and withdrew his demonic energy.

That smile carried an undisguised contempt.

He stretched out a finger, pointing at the three thousand Buddhas before him, his tone extremely arrogant.

"Hey, you lot, get your facts straight. I, the God of Hell, am here to demand an explanation. It was you Western Paradise who were in the wrong first. Get your bearings straight and stop your whining, or I won't hesitate to teach you another lesson!"

The Buddhas present were so angry they were almost bursting with rage, their eyes wide with fury, but they were also intimidated by the terrifying strength Lin Zhu had just displayed and dared not make a move rashly.

Lin Zhu didn't care about their anger at all. He even took out a half-eaten chicken leg from his pocket and casually threw it on the ground.

The chicken leg, with its distinct bones and slightly greasy appearance, stood out starkly in the solemn hall.

"Come on, who wants some?"

This blatant provocation was too much for the Buddhas present to bear.

Finally, Maitreya Buddha could no longer hold back.

He had long harbored a deep-seated hatred for Lin Zhu.

The Bodhisattva Weituo, whom he had invited, had not yet appeared, and he had a vague sense of unease.

Now, Lin Zhu has humiliated the Western Paradise in front of three thousand Buddhas, and he can no longer tolerate it.

"Lin Zhu! Don't be so arrogant!"

Maitreya Buddha roared angrily, his body radiating a bright light, and he was about to teach Lin Zhu a lesson.

However, he had just taken a step when a cold voice came from the lotus platform.

"Mile, step back."

The one speaking was none other than the Buddha.

His voice was not loud, but it carried an unquestionable majesty.

Maitreya Buddha's body stiffened abruptly. He looked at Tathagata, then at Lin Zhu, and finally could only retreat back to his original position in frustration.

He wore a fake smile, but his heart was filled with resentment.

The Buddha's actions caused all the Buddhas present to flicker slightly.

They all understood that the Buddha was warning Maitreya Buddha and also expressing his attitude to Lin Zhu.

This prison god from Heaven is not to be trifled with, and the current situation in the Western Paradise is not optimistic either.

After displaying the majesty of the Lord of Mount Ling, the Buddha turned back to gaze at Lin Zhu. His eyes were slightly closed, and his face regained its usual compassion.

"Lin Yushen, I know you are here and I am displeased. But as an important minister of the Heavenly Court, you should know the proper etiquette. Such an offense against my Buddhist holy land is unreasonable."

Lin Zhu abandoned his casual demeanor and his expression turned serious.

He looked directly at the Buddha without the slightest fear.

"Buddha, I am not here today to discuss etiquette with you, but to demand an explanation!"

The Buddha, however, feigned innocence and asked in return.

"You want to punish me? What crime has the Western Paradise committed?"

Lin Zhu sneered and mocked.

"Buddha, do you really think I don't know your little schemes in the Western Paradise? Stop playing dumb! Shameless!"

"Let me ask you, why did you Buddhas of the Western Heaven invade the territory of Jiangzhou in the Southern Jambudvipa of my Heavenly Court? Why did you fight and slaughter countless lives in broad daylight?"

Lin Zhu's voice was thunderous, resounding throughout the entire hall.

He pointed at the Buddha and questioned him angrily.

"What crime did those innocent mortals of Jiangzhou City, those devout believers of Jinshan Temple, commit? Why did they suffer such a cruel fate?!"

The Buddha tried to argue his way out, but he sighed and adopted a compassionate and merciful posture.

"Lin Yushen, you misunderstand. A demon has appeared in the Southern Continent, disturbing the peace of the Three Realms. I am going there to subdue the demon and protect the reincarnation of Jin Chanzi. Everything is for the greater good!"

Lin Zhu angrily rebuked his excuse, her face showing extreme disgust.

"For the greater good? What a high-sounding excuse! Buddha, do you really think I don't know? To cover up the truth, you didn't hesitate to slaughter innocent people, and even ignored those wronged souls and evil spirits!"

Lin Zhu became more and more agitated as he spoke, pointing at the Buddha and cursing him.

"You falsely claim to be compassionate, falsely claim to be the righteous path, falsely claim to be Buddha! You are nothing but a hypocrite who spouts benevolence and morality but whose heart is filthy and despicable!"

Lin Zhu's voice was like a giant slap, hard on the face of the Buddha.

The entire Great Thunderclap Temple was deathly silent.

"I've come here today to expose the disgusting disguise of your Mount Ling and let everyone see the true face of your Western Paradise!"

Inside the Great Thunderclap Temple, Lin Zhuyi's righteous and stern rebuke echoed like thunder in every corner.

He pointed to the Buddha and the three thousand Buddhas, revealing one by one the crimes committed by the Western Paradise in Jambudvipa.

The Buddhas present looked extremely grim, especially the Tathagata Buddha, who sat on the lotus throne, his face so dark it seemed as if ink was about to drip from it.

However, these high-ranking gods and Buddhas felt no shame for killing those few mortals.

In their eyes, the life and death of mortals are merely part of the cycle of reincarnation; only the eternal annihilation of the primordial spirit and true soul constitutes true death.

They do not understand the pain of ordinary people losing their lives, nor do they know that they have done anything wrong.

They even felt that Lin Zhu was using this as an excuse to deliberately cause trouble for the Western Paradise for some ulterior motive.

The Buddha took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and tried to appease Lin Zhu with a detached attitude.

"Lin Yushen, mortals are subject to birth, aging, sickness, and death; this is the natural order of things. Now that the Jiangzhou incident has occurred, I wish to deliver those innocent mortals from their suffering, so that they may ascend to the Pure Land and escape the sea of suffering. Furthermore, I am willing to compensate the Heavenly Court with five million Buddhist soldiers and armor to make up for the losses caused by this incident. What do you think?"

However, no sooner had the Buddha finished speaking than Guanyin Bodhisattva stepped forward.

She frowned slightly, her face showing worry, and said in a low voice.

“World Honored One, this is not appropriate. Our Buddhist sect has already borne enough karma and karmic burdens for the great Journey to the West, so there is no need for such a large-scale conflict. Furthermore, the Heavenly Court has come with ill intentions, and if we keep backing down, they may take advantage of us.”

Guanyin Bodhisattva's words were echoed by many Bodhisattvas and Arhats present.

They all felt that the Buddha was too lenient with Lin Zhu and couldn't understand why he would accommodate a prison god from Heaven so much.

Lin Zhu sneered and said sarcastically.

"Salvation? Compensation? Buddha, do you really think I'm a three-year-old child who can be fooled by your hypocritical tricks?"

He knew that these gods and Buddhas didn't care about the life and death of mortals; they only cared about the stability of the journey to the West.

The so-called salvation is nothing more than an attempt to appease karma; the so-called compensation is nothing more than a way to silence the Heavenly Court.

Lin Zhu stopped talking and reached into his spatial storage to take out a magical artifact.

The magical artifact was black and thick, covered in sharp spikes, and exuded an extremely ancient and profound aura.

"Does anyone here recognize this object?"

Lin Zhu asked in a cold voice.

The Buddhas present were all terrified when they saw this huge club.

They recognized the magical artifact as the Vajra Pestle of the Bodhisattva Weituo!
"The Demon-Subduing Pestle!"

"Isn't this the Dharma treasure of Bodhisattva Weituo?"

"Lin Zhu, why do you have this?"

Immediately, the hall was filled with discussion.

Maitreya Buddha and Bhaisajyaguru Buddha, in particular, looked extremely ugly.

The fake smile on Maitreya Buddha's face could no longer be maintained, replaced by fear and anger.

He roared, stood up, pointed at Lin Zhu, and his voice boomed.

"This is the Vajra of Bodhisattva Weituo, you wicked beast! Why is this object on you? What have you done to Bodhisattva Weituo?!"

Maitreya Buddha's heart was filled with an ominous premonition.

He had gone to great lengths to invite the Bodhisattva Weituo, hoping that he could eliminate Lin Zhu, establish the majesty of the Western Paradise, and embarrass the Buddha.

However, Lin Zhu now appeared at the Great Thunder Temple with the Dharma treasure of Bodhisattva Weituo, which startled both him and the Medicine Buddha.

The Buddha also took a deep breath. He did not stop Maitreya Buddha, but instead turned his gaze to Lin Zhu.

"Lin Yushen, Bodhisattva Weituo is a protector of our Buddhist sect. I wonder where he is now?"

In front of three thousand Buddhas, Lin Zhu bluntly revealed the news that was enough to shake the three realms.

"Bodhisattva Weituo? He ambushed my wife, Fairy Ni Chang, when she was advancing in her cultivation. I've already killed him!"

As soon as this statement came out, the whole audience was shocked!

"The true spirit has vanished, leaving no trace of the body!"

Lin Zhu's voice exploded in the hall like a huge bomb.

Bodhisattva Weituo!

What do these three characters represent in the Western Paradise?
He is a renowned Grand Luo Golden Immortal in the Western Paradise, only one step away from becoming a Quasi-Saint, and will become the last Buddha of the Sage Tribulation.

His strength and status were of paramount importance throughout the entire Western Paradise.

However, he has now been killed by a celestial prison god, his true spirit annihilated, and his body vanished without a trace! (End of Chapter)
