Chapter 1042 (09.1041): 'The Calamity of the Tyrant Star'

The entire script revolves around the source of calamity known as the 'Tyrant Star'.

Unfortunately, before he could experience that storyline, he was thrown into this dark and realistic universe before the game's release, staging a real-life Warhammer 40K Online tabletop RPG where he only had one life and couldn't reload.

Due to the lack of crucial information such as the true setting before his transmigration, he still doesn't know what terrifying secret, capable of overturning everything, is hidden behind Tyrant Star.

The deeper secrets are likely known only to our High Sister and the highest levels of the Inquisition.

Sister Ajeta's gaze drifted almost imperceptibly to the heavily guarded checkpoint booth next to her, constructed of bulletproof glass and terrazzo.

Her implication couldn't be clearer.

“Thank you. Let’s talk inside.” Horatio immediately understood and led Sister Arabella and Sister Ageta into the guard post.

The heavy ceramic steel door closed behind us, isolating us from all the noise and prying eyes from the outside world.

Here, the secret will remain unknown to outsiders.

“What I am about to say is based on secrets passed down through generations, as marked in the ancient texts in our order’s collection. You must never let a fourth person know about it.” Sister Ageta’s expression was extremely serious.

If the other party is not a state saint recognized by the Drususian Order or a nun of a sister order, then Ajeta would rather die than utter a single word.

Based on information we have gathered from multiple manuscripts, 'Comos' itself is a harbinger, an ultimate omen of the approaching darkness.

We don't know its underlying nature, only that its projection on earth is called a 'black sun' or a 'hall of black flames'.

"The first person to gouge out his own eyes today mentioned 'glowing' and 'a black sun radiating a purple halo'."

Sister Arabella immediately added, "I was thinking then, could this be related to the legendary 'dark heresy'... Unfortunately, that person is ultimately dead, and the other clues were taken away by the Inquisition." "I'm afraid that's it."

Sister Ageta's tone was absolutely certain, "Because there is no other supernatural phenomenon that fits this description."

They would never let ordinary people know about the appearance of the 'Tyrant Star', because according to prophecy, any world illuminated by the Tyrant Star will experience great chaos, or even an irreversible uprising. Such news would only exacerbate the planet's chaotic state.

The riots that the female colonel mentioned are likely a chain reaction following the appearance of Tyrant Star.

This supernatural, unclean omen is represented by an equally unclean rune.

The most apt description of it is a 'bird's claw'.

However, this rune cannot be interpreted by any known specific meaning, and so far, we have failed to find any past explanations for it. Further research is likely only possible within the Inquisition.

Suddenly, his pupils widened sharply.

He saw that the Grand Justice Javert was holding a silver badge in his hand, and the symbol engraved on the badge was a bird's claw!
"Is there anything else?" He immediately turned back and asked Sister Ageta.

"That's all. That's all I know about the 'Dark Heresy'."

"Thank you, Sister Ageta. This is very important. Thank you so much!"

Before Horatio could finish speaking, he flung open the guard post door and strode out.

He walked straight up to Javert, pointed at the badge in his hand, and exclaimed, "Your Excellency, Grand Justice! Where did you get this silver badge?"

Javert was taken aback by his sudden action, then turned his head and showed Horatio the silver badge: "Torn off from a damned mole. But you won't get anything out of him now, because he's dead."

"Can I use this badge for my investigation?"

"Take it if you want it, High Commander."

Javert tossed the badge to him, his tone irritated, perhaps because not only was there a mole in this incident, but there was also an even bigger secret hidden behind it. "I hope you can plow through this filthy land of Sintira like you did during the Abyss Harbor incident, digging out and crushing all the parasites hiding in the darkness. I've had enough of this place!"
