Chapter 753 07.752: "Hell Column"

tom!
There was a dull echo of an explosion not far away.

"Right here! Capture the commanding heights!" Horatio shouted at the top of his voice, his voice as loud as a bell.

He waved the flag of the 1313th Regiment tightly in his hand. The flag fluttered in the dim light, as if a burning fighting spirit was attached to it.

The soldiers behind him were like a surging black tide. Under his leadership, they followed him and rushed out without hesitation.

The enemies who were still marching along the way were caught off guard. They were either torn to pieces by Horatio's chainsword, with their limbs flying everywhere, or beaten into charred pieces by the blazing fire from the soldiers' and nuns' bolter guns and laser guns. The air was filled with the pungent smell of burnt and blood.

Although Horatio was not aware of the intricate underground structure of this hive city, as a king who once fought and dominated the underground of Abyss Port, he knew everything about the lower nest.

There is no planning here at all, the buildings are random and messy, and various gangs of all sizes are building randomly for their own immediate goals.

The black market, as the lifeblood of the Lower Nest, must have the fastest passage from the Lower Nest to the ground in order to maximize profits and turnover efficiency, as well as to protect the owner's own life.

Horatio knew this very well, so as long as he determined the location of the black market, he could almost accurately infer the direction of the main traffic routes.

At this moment, his eyes were sharp and he quickly scanned the surrounding functional areas from the high ground. He judged his own position with his rich experience and quickly guessed the next direction in his mind.

"From this side!" He raised his chainsaw sword and pointed it at a dark corridor, shaking off the enemy's blood on the blade. Then, he rushed forward first.

Suddenly, there was a sound of fierce fighting coming from the front, with the sound of metal colliding and shouting intertwined together.

Horatio slowed down his pace, he turned slightly sideways, remained highly alert, stared at the darkness ahead, and slowly moved forward.

I saw a group of Krieg grenadiers staggering to their feet from the ground with difficulty. They were covered in blood, and their tattered uniforms were soaked in blood, as if they had been fished out of a pool of blood.

One of them, Sergeant Krieg, was holding tightly in one hand half of a skull with strands of scalp and hair still clinging to it, while in the other hand he was holding tightly a blood-stained engineer shovel with bloodstains all over the blade.

He mechanically threw away the bloody skull in his hand, slowly turned around, and began to adjust the broken gas mask on his face with both hands. His movements were steady but with a bit of indescribable fatigue.

At that moment, Horatio seemed to see the white bones exposed underneath.

He was startled and just as he was wondering if he had seen it wrong, the grenadier sergeant had already adjusted his gas mask and saluted him solemnly. The red badge 1313 on his collar was stained with blood, becoming even brighter and more eye-catching, like a burning flame.

"Sergeant, this is your military flag." Horatio strode forward and spread out the flag with both hands. The flag fluttered in his hands.

All the grenadiers seemed to be under a spell and froze in place for a moment. Then they slowly knelt on one knee towards the flag, lowered their heads, placed their right hands tightly on their chests, and performed the Sky Eagle salute. Their movements were uniform and showed an unquestionable determination.

After they finished their salute, Horatio asked with a gleaming look in his eyes, "Where is the first breakthrough point led by the staff officer?"

The grenadier sergeant did not speak, but turned silently, raised his arm, and pointed behind him. "Very good, we will meet up with Staff Officer Clausewitz.

According to the attack plan, he is at the junction of the middle and lower nests and the surface. We will go to the surface from there!
Soldiers! The shame you suffered has been washed away by the blood of the traitors! Now, we will retaliate double! Let those traitors taste the price of betrayal!

I know that no one is better at revenge than the Kriegs!" Horatio's voice was so passionate that it echoed in the passage for a long time.

Crack! Upon hearing this, the soldiers in the attacking column stood at attention with their heels together. Their originally straight bodies now looked like sharp swords piercing the sky.

The blood-stained bayonets were inserted into the laser gun holder and held high by them, flashing cold light, like a steel jungle.

"Clear these alleys as planned, and follow me, main force! We're going to fight to the surface!
We will be the first to hoist our flag on the Carpathian Senate! Wash away the shame with honor!
We are the 1313th Infernal Column, and we dye our uniforms with the blood of our enemies!"

He laughed heartily, his naked upper body already stained red with blood. In the dim light, he looked like a demon rushing out from the abyss of hell, emitting a chilling aura.

Meanwhile, Staff Officer Clausewitz was facing a difficult problem.

The first attack column he was in encountered extremely hard black rock when digging the tunnel, which hindered the progress of the project and had to temporarily change the route at the end of the construction. It was this change of route that brought about an unpredictable deviation. When the tunnel was blasted open, he found that the exit was not far from the enemy's military station.

As soon as the troops led by the staff officer came out of the cave, they encountered continuous and stubborn resistance from the main force of the enemy.

The dense gunfire formed a web of death. As soon as the soldiers showed their heads, they would be bombarded by guns and artillery. Several assault operations ended with the entire task force being killed.

Since the military station could not be captured immediately, the enemy area commander quickly called for reinforcements through the signal tower.

As the distress signal was continuously released along the tower, the surrounding enemies swarmed towards the underground attack passage from all directions like sharks smelling blood.

But the soldiers of the 1313th Regiment did not retreat. With their amazing perseverance and excellent tactical qualities, they managed to gain a foothold at the exit amidst the hail of bullets.

The brave and fearless Kriegs bravely rushed out of the cave shouting under the torrential rain of gunfire, while the assault engineers carried heavy explosives, gritted their teeth, and tried to blow up the enemy's signal tower, and then cut off regional communications through shielding equipment to create conditions for subsequent attacks.

However, the enemy's attack was so fierce that even though the engineers were wearing heavy armor on the front, they could hardly withstand the bullets coming from all directions.

Every batch of warriors who rushed towards the signal tower were shot down by bullets on the way close. Their bodies fell heavily on the cold ground, but their lenses seemed to reveal a light of hatred and regret until their death.

Suddenly, Staff Officer Clausewitz's mind flashed back to an object that the regiment commander had handed to him before departure, as well as the words he had said to him.

He hurriedly reached out and took out the beacon light ball from his tactical waistband. The light ball emitted a faint light in the dim environment, as if it was a ray of hope in the darkness.

"If you are obstructed in your ground attack, follow the code in this little book and enter it into this beacon, and you will get weapons or troop reinforcements from the Imperial Navy ships in orbit. Believe in the Imperial Navy, our naval officers and soldiers are also loyal and good at fighting." The words of the captain seemed to still echo in his ears.
