Chapter 806, page 08.805: 'A Sweet Rainy Night'
The two walked deeper into the exhibition hall, which was so large that it resembled a small kingdom hidden within the mansion. The layout of the exhibits had changed considerably since Horatio's first visit, mainly because Thee had acquired many novel exhibits during her trip—she needed to give these exhibits the most prominent and valuable positions to highlight their rarity and preciousness.
“And this one?” They released Horatio’s hand, skipped forward, then turned and pointed to another, larger display case, her eyes gleaming with an almost fanatical light.
It was a meticulously planned battle scene: three Tau Fire Clan warriors clad in ochre armor were fighting against three Dark Eldar Void Pirates.
The pirates wore black and purple armor, the plates of which were segmented like insect shells, with sharp edges, exuding a silent but dangerous aura.
These humanoid aliens, wielding poisoned blades and poison crystal rifles capable of firing countless tiny poison darts, stretched out their long, somewhat grotesque limbs, striking a forward stance that was both elegant and cruel.
Their opponents, the Tau Fire Warriors, displayed a completely different fighting style.
One person fired from a standard kneeling position, while the other two stood, their pulse rifles forming a tight and deadly crossfire network.
They even went so far as to place several shimmering, eerie blue holographic beams on the platform, simulating a pulse beam tearing through the air and piercing the chest of a Dark Eldar, a scene so lifelike it was astonishing.
"Titan specimens... We've had many opportunities to collect them, but if we had to pick the most likely one—could it be the one when we escorted the triumphant army of Aurora to land?!"
Horatio's voice rose involuntarily with excitement. The war history replayed in his mind, every detail crystal clear.
He felt as if he were back on the bridge of the Epic, looking down at the transport ships airdropping thousands of Astragalus soldiers into orbit, with the audacious fleet that had ambushed the Tau airborne troops on their flanks.
"We were incredibly audacious back then," Horatio remarked with a touch of awe.
His gaze shifted to the few specimens of the Dark Elf race, and his eyes sharpened.
"And there's no need to go into details. We've only encountered the Dark Eldar once. You were in full command of that boarding operation. You did a fantastic job, managing to bring back so many Xenomorph corpses so intact."
“Thank you for the compliment, Captain.” They smiled sweetly, put her hands behind her back, and lightly twirled in front of Horatio.
Her seemingly simple black tulle dress swayed as she danced, like a flower blooming in the dark night—beautiful, pure, yet possessing a fatal elegance and dynamism.
Horatio looked at the breathtakingly beautiful young judge before him, and watched the curve of her skirt as it swayed, his heart pounding uncontrollably.
In that moment of distraction, he forgot. He forgot that one of They's collections... was moving.
That giant ant-cow.
A faint, teeth-grinding chitinous scraping sound came from the shadows.
Tsk-!
A pair of enormous, sickle-shaped pincers ripped through the silence, bringing with them a foul stench, and suddenly pounced on the two of them!
"careful!"
Horatio's physical reactions outpaced his mental thinking.
He suddenly wrapped his strong, natural arms around Thee's slender waist, pulling her tightly into his embrace, while simultaneously retreating rapidly.
At the same time, his mechanical iron hand drew a bolt pistol from his waist, steadily aiming the muzzle at the creature that rushed out of the display case's shadow, instantly unlocking the trigger and preparing to fire.
As a captain's bicorn hat with gold trim slowly drifted down and landed on the sound-absorbing carpet on the ground, everything returned to silence.
Horatio looked at the ant-cow specimen whose eyes had lost their luster, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down, a sign of his masculine nature, and he swallowed.
It's still in the same spot, at the exact same angle.
In the exact same situation as before, he was once again terrified by the moving ant-cow specimen and reflexively drew his gun.
However, he soon discovered a new situation—he was pinning Thee down, his hands on the carpet beside her shoulders, completely enveloping her in a protective posture.
Due to the violent movement, the buttons on the girl's blouse were forced open by the surprising weight and sudden impact, revealing a dazzling glimpse of her skin. Two bright eyes met at close range.
Their breaths mingled together, gently brushing against each other's cheeks, causing a slight tickle.
They looked into his eyes, into those eyes that had been cold and focused during the battle, yet now held a renewed, complex emotion. Far from being alarmed, she smiled and opened her arms to embrace his neck.
Her smile held a hint of mischievous cunning, a touch of triumphant pleasure, and a trace of unreserved sincerity.
"Do you know Horatio?"
She spoke softly, her eyes sparkling with a captivating light, as if reflecting a dazzling sea of stars: "I fell for you when I was fifteen."
However, at that time you were still striving for your career and studies, while we... were both focused on major life decisions at our respective junctures.
Suddenly, Thee's lips curled into a warm smile.
"However, things are different now."
Her voice carried an undeniable firmness, both an invitation and a command.
"kiss Me."
Horatio was silent for a moment.
He stared into her eyes, as if trying to see through all the secrets and lies in the depths of her soul.
Then, he slowly and resolutely lowered his head.
He didn't say "I love you too".
For an Imperial officer, love is a word that is too luxurious and too fragile.
He responded to her with a heavier, more binding promise.
This was both a response to her and a gamble on his own future—a loyalty that could lead to his annihilation.
“My heart belongs to both the God-King and His agent, Thei.”
Their lips touched gently together.
Then, like two hungry wild beasts, they were filled with long-suppressed desire and fervor.
It bites and entangles fiercely.
This was no longer a tender kiss, but a plunder, a declaration.
Two souls, long lonely in the cold, cruel universe, have finally found their home together.
Two young and energetic bodies rolled around on the soft carpet.
The torrential rain outside continued to fall in a drizzle, its cold sound conveniently masking the even more violent storm, capable of destroying everything, raging within the judge's private sanctuary.
Acid rain washes over this bustling city, while inside the house...
The two are spreading their sweet warmth with each other's warmth.
