Chapter 1056 The Understanding of the Great Dao is Overturned

This marks the 367th year since Ding Huan left the Fog Realm.

With the cosmic cauldron enhancing his own speed, he traversed countless planes and passed through countless cosmic walls over three hundred years.

But today, Ding Huan had to stop.

He had a feeling that he had been wandering in this void for at least thirty years.

It was as if he had encountered a ghost wall, unable to find his way out of this void.

But his divine sense was clearly not hindered in any way, and there was no abnormality when he controlled the cosmic cauldron to fly.

The reason I feel like I've been going around in the same place for decades is entirely due to intuition and sensitivity to the laws of nature.

He was certain that he had been to this same spot more than once.

What surprised him even more was that he had no way to make a spatial orientation mark in this void.

Ding Huan wouldn't dare say that his cultivation had reached the pinnacle of the universe, but he was certain that his strength was definitely among the top tier of existence.

If he couldn't even make a spatial orientation mark here, then there must be very few people who can.

Ding Huanzai carefully examined everything in the surrounding void and finally confirmed that his judgment was correct.

For decades, he has truly been spinning his wheels in this void.

In fact, he can't even turn back now, even if he wanted to.

He seemed to be trapped in a maze.

In Ding Huan's eyes, formations were something to play with when one's cultivation was weak; he didn't even play with Dao formations anymore.

Now, the barriers he sets up are all sorts of enchantments.

What kind of formation in this universe could possibly trap Ding Huan?

In fact, he was trapped.

Ding Huan had no idea whether he was trapped in a formation or a barrier.

At least for now, he can't see through it.

He had no choice but to put away the cosmic cauldron; at this point, he needed to be patient.

Even when his cultivation level was still very weak, he was able to pass through the cosmic wall.

Now that he is at least a seventh-step expert who has perfected his own Great Dao, he can't possibly be trapped and die in some unknown void, right?

With the Great Cosmic Technique activated, Ding Huan began to perceive everything that existed in this void.

Ding Huan believes that, based on his understanding of the rules of heaven and earth and the laws of all things, figuring out where he is trapped should not be a problem.

It just takes a little time.

A century later, Ding Huan realized he had been too arrogant.

In order to figure out where he was trapped, he even specially set up hundreds of top-grade Dao veins.

However, the top-grade Dao veins he had established over the past century had been almost completely depleted. He was intimately familiar with all the laws in the space, and he knew exactly how many rules existed in this void.

However, no similar barrier could be found.

He was in a void with no obstructions.

Ding Huan forced himself to calm down.

He once secluded himself for 100,000 years, how long has it been?

If he doesn't stay calm, he'll probably never find the real reason.

He began to make assumptions.

If his guess is correct, and he is indeed trapped in some space, and he cannot find an exit or any trace of it, what are the possibilities?

First, his cultivation level is too low, so he can't sense many things.

Ding Huan thought this was unlikely, since he was already at the seventh step of the Great Dao, and the Great Universe Technique was also constructed from his own Great Dao.

Moreover, his own Great Dao World is almost on par with the World of Gods.

He found it hard to believe that there were rules and laws of heaven and earth that he couldn't sense with his Great Universe Technique; it was too outrageous.

The second possibility is that he was trapped by his own state of mind regarding the Great Dao.

In his process of comprehending the Great Dao, he became trapped in his own world of Daoist mindset.

To break this situation, one must first improve one's own state of mind and help him escape the mental world that has trapped him.

Ding Huan immediately ruled out this possibility. It was absolutely impossible for him to be trapped in a mental state. He had been controlling the cosmic cauldron all the way here, and the void he was in had always been real. There was no mental world at all.

That's the third possibility: he accidentally entered a space set up by someone else, a space of a level he had never encountered or seen before.

That's unlikely.

He came all the way from the lower universe, what kind of space hasn't he encountered?

Even if we take a step back and assume that he has never been in contact with this kind of space set up by others, surely his Great Universe Technique can sense it?
He has been trying to comprehend the Great Universe Technique for a hundred years, but he has gained nothing.

Ding Huan's thoughts gradually drifted away.

He was somewhat worried about Qu Yi.

He was trapped here, and no one was looking for Qu Yi.

Even if Nianhuan wanted to go look for her, she wouldn't know where to start.

Ding Huan sighed. Perhaps it's better to be an ordinary person.

To live a simple and ordinary life on Earth with Qu Yi.

He chose the path of cultivation, and every time he thought he had reached the pinnacle, he would find that he was still at the feet of others...

Ding Huan's thoughts abruptly stopped.

A mortal? If he is a mortal, can he sense immortal formations?
Obviously not.

He couldn't sense even ordinary spiritual arrays, let alone immortal arrays.

Let's assume he's just an ordinary person, and he's trapped by a formation. In that case, he'd be in the same situation as now, completely clueless.

Could it be that because his cultivation level is too low, he can't sense what exactly is in the space that's trapping him?
The reason he hadn't thought this way before was that he believed he was already at the pinnacle of this vast universe and that it was impossible for him to be unable to perceive the space he was trapped in because his cultivation level was too low.

If it's truly because his cultivation level is too low, then his previous assumptions about being first and third are both plausible.

Because of his low cultivation level, he had never been exposed to this kind of void space.

The frog also thought it saw the whole sky, and it firmly believed that the sky looked exactly like the well opening.

Could it be that I've become a frog in a well?
Ding Huan took a deep breath and drew his Breaking Blade.

Even the most perfect space will have fragments of its laws after it is torn apart.

Perhaps the secret lies hidden within these fragments of the laws.

Unable to find the reason, he finally cleaved through the void and entered the void black hole.

Entering the void black hole might be a last resort, but it's better than being trapped here.

The power of the Breaking Calamity Blade gathered, and Ding Huan poured almost all of his Dao Yuan power into it before unleashing a slash.

The void emitted a series of rumbling sounds, and Ding Huan stared blankly at the void before him.

With his strength, he could easily tear a rift in the void within the world of gods.

But it's impossible to leave a trace here.

Is this a plane even higher than the world of gods?

impossible.

The world of gods is the highest plane in this universe, and also the center of this universe.

How could there be a higher plane than the world of gods?
Ding Huan unleashed the Tribulation-Breaking Blade once more, this time unleashing a continuous barrage of blades, one after another.

At the same time, Ding Huan's Great Cosmic Technique began to circulate.

In just a few cycles, Ding Huan sensed the aura of law that he hadn't been able to sense in the previous hundred years...

No, it shouldn't be called a law, but rather something that seems even more mysterious than a law.

Ding Huan became completely immersed in it.

Once he sensed it, he believed he could comprehend its profound meaning and manifest it in his own Great Dao universe.

One year... ten years... one hundred years...

When Ding Huan opened his eyes again, he found that the Dao meridians around him had been completely exhausted, and he had almost merged into this void.

Only the Blade of Destruction hovered behind him, telling him that he did not belong to this void.

Ding Huan took a deep breath.

This seclusion will last for a full thousand years. During this thousand years, if someone were to launch a sneak attack on him, it would be a sure thing.

Because he was truly and completely immersed in the profound insights that shook his understanding of the Great Dao.

Since beginning his cultivation, he has embarked on the path of cultivation and has continued to cultivate until he reached the seventh step of the Great Dao, eventually standing at the pinnacle of this vast universe.

Ding Huan never doubted his understanding of the Great Dao and his comprehension of the vast universe.

This thousand-year seclusion overturned his understanding.

He actually sensed a completely new law here.

It shouldn't be called a law; it's a more profound and mysterious concept of the universe than a law.

Let's call it the fundamental law of nature, or the source law.

Based on his understanding of the Great Way.

The Great Dao is the understanding of the rules of heaven and earth, from which one develops one's own principles.

All the rules in the universe are constructed from the laws governing all things.

Therefore, to develop one's own Great Dao and Dao principles, one must comprehend the laws of all things, understand the rules of heaven and earth, and finally construct one's own Great Dao and Dao principles.

He takes the first step in his path, and he will evolve the laws of all things in his own Great Dao world, but he also needs to comprehend the laws of all things in the outside world first.

And now he has actually discovered the fundamental laws of nature, which is the source law he named himself.

No wonder he couldn't sense it before.

Because the source can construct laws, this overturns his understanding of the Tao.

The laws governing everything in his own world were indeed derived by himself.

But there is a foundation to that; he comprehends the laws of all things in this universe and then evolves his own laws of all things in his own Great Dao World.

In other words, before seeing a certain law, such as the law of origin, the law of creation, the law of nothingness, etc.

Ding Huan was unable to construct these laws within his own world.

In order to construct his own laws of creation, he went to the void space and, after seeing the laws of creation of this world, constructed his own laws of creation.

However, the Source Law is different. Even if one does not see these laws, as long as one understands the Source Law, one can construct these laws in one's own Great Dao World according to one's own Great Dao will.

The laws constructed from the source, even if they are the same kind of laws, can be completely different from the laws existing in this universe.

It was precisely because he understood this principle that Ding Huan stared blankly at the void that trapped him.

He was trapped in a void array based on the principles of the source, which was also called the Realm of Position.

This is a level higher than a barrier. He had never been exposed to the source laws before, so how could he open it?

(Good night, fellow Taoists!)
