Ultraman: It turns out this is the easy mode.

Chapter 1332 Hikari: Yes, yes, yes!

After Cui Ming contacted Hikari across the world and explained the situation.

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the communicator, followed by a burst of almost manic trembling. Hikari was excited; his barely suppressed excitement traveled through the interdimensional channel, even the static couldn't mask it.

"Holy crap! I've never seen anything like this before!"

Hikari's voice rose eight octaves, accompanied by the clanging of instruments and the rustling of papers in the background, clearly indicating that he was gesticulating wildly in an environment filled with equipment.

For a scientist whose life revolves around research, the unknown is the greatest temptation, and the unique physiological defects resulting from the fusion of Rei Ayanami's clone and the soul of an Angel are simply a perfect research topic that fell from the sky.

"If I don't do some research on this, I'll be letting down the opportunity Cui Ming gave me!"

Cui Ming could even picture Hikari's eyes shining, the fervor of someone seeing a novel experimental sample—you could feel the heat even across the world barrier. He held the communicator expressionlessly, waiting for the other party to speak.

Hikari then very readily offered, "What can I do for you? I'm always ready to come and help."

His tone was so urgent, as if he was afraid that Cui Ming would change his mind, and the end of his voice trembled with eager anticipation, as if he was about to pack his bags and cross the world channel at any moment.

"Calm down, we just need to fix some of their shortcomings."

Cui Ming's voice was calm and restrained, each word enunciated clearly, attempting to pour cold water on that overheated brain. He knew Hikari too well; if the boundaries weren't clearly defined, this guy would definitely escalate a simple nutritional supplement program into some kind of uncontrollable bio-engineering project.

"Are you sure you don't need to add anything extra? You know my capabilities!"

Hikari was unwilling to give up, his voice filled with the eagerness to promote his talent, the kind of spirit that "give me a chance and I will definitely create miracles" almost overflowing the communication channel.

"I trusted you too much, so I didn't believe you wouldn't cause trouble."

Cui Ming's response was as calm as stating a physical law, without sarcasm or exaggeration, simply an objective judgment based on countless painful experiences. The other end of the communicator fell silent instantly; Hikari seemed speechless, unable to find a rebuttal for a long time.

"Okay, shall I go over there?"

Hikari's tone finally softened, carrying a hint of grievance and resentment, like a child whose toys had been confiscated, but still not giving up the opportunity to participate.

"Okay, I'll let the world consciousness know."

Cui Ming looked up at the window; the sky over Third New Tokyo City was as gloomy as if an iron pot had been covered over it. Interdimensional teleportation was no small matter, especially for an energy entity of Hikari's caliber to enter. It required the permission of the local world's consciousness; otherwise, it would cause rejection at the rule level.

"Okay! By the way, can the Apostles conduct research?"

Hikari's voice became excited again, all traces of his previous frustration gone, the last syllable trembling with emotion. The question came abruptly and directly, like a knife piercing the gap in the conversation.

"."

Cui Ming remained silent. Only the static of the communicator crackled in the silence, sounding particularly jarring. He didn't answer, nor did he need to.

As expected, Hikari is still too dangerous.

Hikari is here.
A beam of light flashed in the corner of the laboratory, sending ripples of energy through the air, filling it with the scent of ozone. When it arrived, it excitedly surveyed its surroundings, its head turning this way and that, its gaze sweeping over every instrument, every screen, every data sheet, uttering sounds of amazement.

"Holy crap! This is so interesting! This place is amazing!"

Hikari's voice echoed in the laboratory, filled with barely suppressed elation. It took a deep breath, as if savoring the very air of the world, then abruptly turned to Cui Ming, its eyes burning with impatient anticipation. "Cui Ming, when do we begin the research? I can't wait!"

Choi Myung stood expressionlessly to the side, holding the medical report about Rei Ayanami. He watched Hikari's eager expression, as if she wanted to rush onto the operating table, and remained silent for a few seconds.

"Wait a moment, let me introduce you to some of the researchers here."

"it is good!"

Hikari was incredibly excited! It rubbed its fists together, pacing back and forth, each step revealing its eager anticipation. Its gaze would occasionally drift towards the sealed culture chambers deep within the laboratory, as if it were examining a treasure.

Seeing Hikari like this, Cui Ming felt that calling him here was a mistake.
After Naoko and Ritsuko met Hikari, they both looked at Choi Myung.

Naoko Akagi and Ritsuko Akagi had just come out of the data room next door, carrying a stack of freshly printed gene maps. When they saw the unfamiliar figures suddenly appearing in the lab, they both stopped in their tracks, their eyes shifting back and forth between Hikari and Choi Myung, their gazes filled with doubt and scrutiny.

Cui Ming then explained.

"This is Ultraman Hikari Hikari. He's in his human form right now. Hikari, these two are Naoko Akagi and Ritsuko Akagi, and this is me."

"I know that the only person you can trust is your woman."

Hikari interrupted Choi Myung, her tone confident, her gaze sweeping over Naoko and Ritsuko with an expression of complete understanding. She seemed intimately familiar with Choi Myung's personal relationships, speaking as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Cui Ming paused for a moment, then nodded calmly.

"Ah."

"Then there's no problem. Okay, when shall we start the research?"

Hikari immediately steered the conversation back on track, his excitement returning, and he leaned forward slightly, as if ready to rush toward the lab table at any moment.

Seeing Hikari like this, Naoko and Ritsuko pulled Choi Min-hye aside and asked:
"Cui, this one."

Naoko and Ritsuko pulled Choi Myung aside, one on each side, their voices low, their eyes filled with obvious worry and uncertainty. Looking at Hikari's fanatical scientist demeanor, they felt something was off.

Cui Ming sighed, lowered his voice, and spoke in a serious tone:

"It's incredibly powerful, but be very careful not to indulge its curiosity too easily, or it could cause problems."

These words were like a stone thrown into water. Naoko and Ritsuko exchanged a glance and saw the same solemnity in each other's eyes.

"Good" *2
The two spoke in unison, their voices so soft as if they were afraid of disturbing something.

Since Cui Ming said so, there must be a problem!

After all, something about Hikari just doesn't look right!

It's not that they have a problem with Hikari; as highly intelligent individuals, they can actually sense the scientific research aura in Hikari's expression.

But it was precisely because of this that they realized this person was clearly more dangerous than he appeared! (End of Chapter)
